Recently got into retrowave/synthwave and the upcoming hype for Cyberpunk 2077. To celebrate and in coming back, I present you a new screenpack. Color scheme is light blue/aqua to light purple. Some screens I'll post and videos will be linked later on progress.

What will be included?
Custom Ports
Custom Stage Fonts
Lifebars

Is there a possibility for default ports?
It's an idea I'm going to implicate after the initial design has been done.

Is it ram heavy?
Yes.. for a screenpack to look aesthetically nice with certain animations do require ram to run, especially in 32 bit mugen with 1.1.

Oh fuck!
That's insane in video!!! Please Do it the good way I beg you! xD
But the template is 'basic', so even if settings are not 0.25 0.25 it's easy to modify.
You have my entire attention. Thanks for your hard work!!

Oh my GOOOOOOOOOD!!! i know you've posted shots in the Screenshots thread but im SO glad your back even just for this project! I missed you <3

This is looking SO GOOOOOD! Now im so glad i got a new computer earlier this year, it was just for this!

I have a small request, would it be possible after you finish all the essential stuff or after you release it to make a version with more slots? Theres 48 right now but is it possible to include a .def file with maybe double that? 96?

I never fully understood how to modify the slots in a screenpack to add more even after watching tutorials otherwise id just do it myself after release.

I can do that, just will double down the small portraits, which isn't hard to do.

Lifebar sketch, will be similar to V-Nixes and some renditions cause I like his lifebar, however to my style. Much need to be added, power bars, etc. o-o

Awesome, I really appreciate it!

Truthfully my roster is about 130 chars but i figured that may be too much or the small ports would be much to small.

Also those lifebars are awesome! I actually still use V-nixes Climax bars, so those are pretty slick. I'm curious what your gonna do with the powerbars.

Something like this. Still WIP though.

May need to drop shadow some fonts and make some bg overlays darker o-o, middle timer subject to change =o

Those might be the slickest lifebars i've ever seen. Are you gonna do your own Round anims or modify the existing ones like you did with the bars?

Doing my own round anims.. but actually work on them properly and make it look proper, which may take some times.

What needs to be done:
Roster Customization
Winner Message Fix Up
Lifebar Turn/Simul

Video will be uploaded later on for full release.

Port Tutorials will be done later on since I'm busy with life, but I'm open to new ideas of work so I'm going to edit the title and make this my WIP project page for everything.
I deleted my youtube channel for personal reasons, and started a new one, so that will be posted soon when I can get most of my stuff up and running. Planning to get everything I created and put it properly in one page. Please send me things that I've lost over the time period if you can (like screenpacks and characters LOL).

Otherwise... have fun O_O

Reminder: Port Maths
Ports are made for standard 320,240 localcoord variations -> converted to 426.66,320.25 in def file of characters.
For characters with 640x480, just enlarge the portraits 1.5 times. For 850,480, 2 times. For 1280... 3 times but I doubt anyone uses 1280 localcoord unless you really want nu-13.

Looks nice, very simple. Can envision that kinda style for a minimalist SP.

Edit:

Tried my hand at a port set, takes a while to make it at first due to the 2 extra layers used for the Retro outlines on the renders.

It's brighter due to my reshade.

Saber:

Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

And idk if i just did it wrong, but the P2 Lifebar Port seems to be misalined, i had to mess with the X axis values to move it over, as by default (at -45 as per the included chars) a chunk of her face was cut off.

Tested it.
It looks amazingly good.
I've got a few questions though.

What version of photoshop do you have?
Because all these seperate layers for effects seem unnecessary. Make a layer style for it?

For example:

For the big portrait.
All those outlines can be done with drop shadows. (In newer versions you can make more than just one drop shadow).
It's WAY to much work, just to finish the name properly. I mean it's 8 seperate layers.

For the lifebar portrait...
What's what here?
You've made a black box along the the top edge (I asume this is the mask). But what's the limit for how big you can make it?

I'm not trying to be offensive here, but these files are too messy.

Keep in mind most people in the Mugen community aren't Photoshop gurus.
So you gotta make it as simple as you possibly can to use.

EDIT:
Remember to Include the font with your screenpack.

You have extremely valid points, I don't find it difficult but that's probably because of 2 reasons:

1: I'm no stranger to Photoshop
2: I guess i'm just used to his Photoshop structure. I know where to look and find the ports and names.

It's just kinda time consuming.

I usually edit his structure and put all the ports into P1 and P2 with their own sub folders for the specific characters.

Lifebar ports are a mess tbh, i did it exactly as the example ports were and it was offcenter when in game (P2 was, P1 was fine). P2 was cut off and by a pretty large amount.

Maybe he has an older version of PS, idk how it works since mines pirated (Don't have the $ for Photoshop or any of the editing software I use), but if he has an older one are you able to freely upgrade to CC?
