They're really trying to rip off the Vikings TV series with the names too, lol. Not a good name at all. This entire shakeup was pretty sub-par, the only things I liked about it were Roode and Gable being split, and AJ on Raw. Didn't understand the Riott Squad split or the Us/Ic switch, nor the Sanity split. For some reason I also thought they'd split Aleister and Ricochet to separate brands and end the tag team but I guess not.

I potentially like Finn getting on the workhorse show where he can shine

I really like Roman getting away from having to carry a 3 hour show and Michael Cole calling his matches

Of course this is contingent on them not swapping Michael Cole in and changing it to 3 hours when it moves to Fox

I'm not disappointed in regards to Finn. I just don't get why the switch was needed, lol. Unless they've got other plans for Joe.

The other thing that's confusing me rn is the fact that they pretty much tore apart the cruiserweight division, buddy/ali/cedric all gone. Some NXT guys gonna take that spot probably.

Pretty good show, never saw the pre-show but SCU vs Strong Hearts was excellent, the Best Friends/Angelico-Evans match was fun and the last 3 matches were great. The women did well and its always awesome to see the Kongs running around killing bitches.

You can watch the preshow archive on YouTube

It was fine

The battle royal was fine for what it was, showcase of gimmicks (I don't know if I "get" Orange Cassidy but if it's getting him over great. Just keep him out of a serious title picture)

And the singles match was good too, just two young guys looking to prove themselves

But it didn't hold a candle to the main show, especially Dustin vs Cody, blade job or no

The reference to the "hug and a kiss" Dusty promo from early WCW had me tearing up

Double or Nothing was definitely a breath of fresh air into Wrestling. Followed by a 3 hour Raw with 45 minutes of wrestling lol.

I personally hope that they focus more on their product in the future, though. Getting into a competition with WWE will not end well. I'd rather have both products flourishing so we have options. It feels like right now they're just taking digs at WWE and scooping up their guys. They'd be better off completely ignoring WWE's presence IMO.

Yeah, I think the fans will probably push things into a war cause it seems like AEW just wants to do their own thing for a while before they even do something big like that. Sure there maybe jabs and stuff but I think they are waiting for something to happen before things like war come up.

just saw vignette of moxley for njpw. kinda weird i still think he's boring. i haven't seen any of his indy matches but i did see his wwe ones and there's only 2 matches so far that i liked. and both are tagteam match. though i'm willing to give him a try.

and about aew , i did enjoyed it ... felt like a really good ppv. and the rumble match did good i thought it'll end up poorly with the group gimmickt. they did a good pacing.
but i do hope they start to build new characters the bucks and kenny are cool but it'll be kinda boring if the show is only built around the elite and co.

i do hope this and jericho's work with njpw would be a start of a good relationship with them , and possible crossover ppvs or at least they could feature some belts like the never open belt to aew and have it defended there like the ROH belt.

I think I have an idea on why people think Jon is boring, they either never see his indy matches, or just know him from WWE. Moxley is extreme, like backyard wrestling extreme, but knew that WWE would never fly with the blood and action that he wanted. Makes sense since his promo had him escaping from the prison that is WWE. That and he was always great at playing the loose psychopath role pretty well. Just take the time to look at some of his early work, he gets bust ass nuts in some instances.

Jon Moxley is not Dean Ambrose

There was a little of him there initially but it's like comparing Stone Cold and Stunning Steve

Do yourself a favor and look up the best of Jon Moxley on youtube

Speaking of Mox, his appearance on Jericho's podcast is a must-listen. Vince is so tone-deaf it's insane.

Just putting into words what we all knew

I'd love to see him do the Austin Podcast now that the chains are off

Assuming there still is an Austin Podcast, his "few week" break has lasted months

Match was great, honestly didn't see the point in Mox getting the strap tho. Juice is still white hot, feel like he could've kept it going for a while. Especially because the perception is that Mox wont be a full timer for NJPW.

eh just to make moxley strong since he's the big star of aew.

rewatch the final match , it's really is a great match,  weird that shingo is more popular with girls than ospreay.
