Hey Guild, It has been a couple of years since I last posted on on this or any other website relating to Mugen.
I'm not doing anything Mugen-related as truth be told, I'm not exactly wanting to get back into it as I've moved on to another hobby, which is a worldbuilding project on Deviantart that is a Superhero / Urban Fantasy setting that I'm releasing into the public as a resource for people to use for their own projects, be it books, games, comics, etc. Sort of a free version of DC's/Marvel's superhero universes that people can contribute to without some corporate suit dictating what can or cannot be written.

Though recently I've been reminiscing about my time here, of that time I worked on a remake of the Street Fighter IV NES bootleg, and the people I've worked with to try and complete it, though I stopped doing it because as I remember, progress was ground to a halt and it was on life support for months as hardly anything was done.

Overall, since I've been out of the loop for the past several years, what all has happened since I've been gone? And what did happen to the people I use to work with on that project?

They have been missing for several years by now. No one knows what happened since they have always been this reclusive.

Like always the community is split about how to handle the archiving of Mugen content,  what is effective and and what not, what should be allowed and what not, the rights of the creators etc.

It ended with mods and admins of two big sites yelling at each other, banning members on each others site, blacklisting the name of the opposing site, with most of us regular users just watching it mostly and waiting for it to end,

Except you're completely wrong and that's not the real story behind MA.

The overwhelming majority of the community has no problem archiving old creations so they're always available. The MA "war" initially started with them using adfly and has only kept going because their head leader is a toxic scumbag.

I guess I covered the adfly stuff under "what should be allowed and what not" I did not want to get into much detail because everyone seems to gets a little let's say "emotional" when this topic comes up.

Not to mention the removal of all their porn characters and probably going the way of kid-friendly by censoring anything and everything offensive.

Nah, it's just that the precedent/context of the mugen comunity gives a compeltely different meaning to  "what should be allowed and what not" so it wsa better to clarify in this case that it was about  adprofit/possible virus/trojans.
