Without blood, it's not Mortal enough ... so they should just change the name to Kombat, which would also be a pretty stupid misspelled one-worded name :-X

those are just rehashes of old video midways is known for doing this. same goes for the puzzle kombat one.

Just because it happened in the SNES version over 10 years ago, doesnt mean they'd do it again. Look at Deadly Alliance and Deception for Gamecube and Armageddon for Wii. They still have blood, even to this day.  ::)

By the way, Midway has a habit of changing things till the last minitue as well. --; Remember Midway Arcade Treasures 2. See if you can find the pulled games between Offical Trailer 1 and Official Trailer 2.  :P

Edit: I wish i still had a DS. Id love to play this online.  :'(

Something looks a bit odd about the screenplay on the DS's top screen.

Most of the part, the characters names are below their life bars. At one point there is a part where you see the character's names on TOP of their life bar. Then it goes back below their life bar  near the end of the video. Maybe they're just re-using SNES screen plays, and a bit of Arcade screen plays?

Also, I remember some of the MK games having a 'code' that would let you enable blood & fatalities. I wonder if they'll keep this fix for UMK3DS.

maybe this has also hidden option to enable blood... well have to wait and see...

SNES version was much better. And was the 1st fighting game I ever played. It hooked me onto fighting games. I though directional commands were SO revolutionary back then!
