@Tempest: Yeah, there exist a lot of broken combos in MSH, specially with Wolverine, my main character :P My preference for that game is related to sentimental stuff :(

If not MSH I prefer MVC, because it's the more refined style. [E], I think you should switch this to a poll.

xmen vs sf was the most balanced since every character had an infinite IIRC not like the other games where only certain characters had them

it was failed sarcasm and making a crappy point.  some people I know refer to it as the most balanced due to the infinites.

i say msh btw capcom's first attempt at that type with the air combos and all that xmen had stuff but it was different

XvSF is a broken piece of shit.  --;

X-Men VS Street Fighter and MVC2.

I really liked the solid feel of XVSF.  Each character had at least one infinite that was difficult to pull off and each could be played with intensity and skill.  And while MVC2 was severely broken, I found the combination of characters to be rather fun to play with.  Especially if you didn't choose the god tier characters.

Hoshi you just summed up everything I think about those two games that I haven't been able to articulate.  Especially the MvC2 part.

XmvsSF

How to become teh Winrar of XmvsSF:
1) Pick Wolverine and just pick some other dude for the secondary
2) Find a good Corner and set up a combo like this:
 S.Roundhouse /\ SJ.Jab -> SJ.Short -> SJ.Strong ->
             SJ.Strong -> SJ.Strong XX Diagonally Up Drill
             Claw (FS) -> SJ.Roundhouse, SJ.Roundhouse
3) after set up do the infinite - J.Short -> J.Forward -> J.Roundhouse (FS)
(Time the hits right)
4) repeat step 3 until you deplete 100% HP of every man in his duo... then watch him leave the machine.
5) A Winrar is you... Victoly

In other regards I do love Marvel Super Heroes the most... even if the character roster is quite small at least it doesn't end up where people use the same few chars over and over again, out of more than a double digit value more than 10. And the Gem power ups add a lot to the fun factor.

-Zangief is the best example of that. Just launch your enemy, Jab, Forward, Lariat, repeat.
-Wolverine has the same infinite from MSH.
-Rogue: Just tap Short, Strong, Dash, repeat.
-Magneto: Roundhouse,HCB+Roundohouse, repeat.

And that only to mention a few. ::)

Alternate way for winning and being awesome in Version 1.0 of Xmen vs SF

- Pick Ryu or Akuma
- Find your opponent
- S.TWD.Forward, C.Strong -> S.TWD.Forward, C.Strong (repeat)
- A winrar is you

The Hopkick loop/infinite - its the most awesomest combo evar! Just by doing and repeating S.TWD.Forward, C.Strong -> S.TWD.Forward, C.Strong over and over, you become an awesome arcades player.

so, xmen vs sf can be disregarded as the source.. the poll is pointing to either marvel vs capcom 1 or msh vs sf.

so, i edited the poll so only those two matter, you can change your vote if you wish.

haha this place im goign to is gonna have a marvel superheroes vs street fighter side tourney.... hopefully ill see how much fun it is. but nothing compares to my mvc2
