I tried all three of em yesterday. An error shows up telling me that their act file cannot be read.So forget about getting them. It's hopeless because they don't work.

They work. You just have to do a bit of renaming. Mine work just fine once I renamed the ACT files and change them accordingly in the DEF as well.Falling bug...needs to be fixed...NOW
Ok What do I Rename them to?What Name?I renamed the Act files to the Character's Name and then I removed the extra act lines in the def file and renamed the other existing lines the name of each act file.I really don't know what to do.Tell me how you did it.
I just went through every single ACT file and renamed it like "1", "2", "3", etc. Then I editted them in the DEF File like so:Pal1 = act/9.actPal2 = act/8.actPal3 = act/5.actPal4 = act/1.actPal5 = act/10.actPal6 = act/3.actPal7 = act/6.actPal8 = act/7.actPal9 = act/2.actPal10 = act/4.act;Pal11 = act/•?’Ê‚È‚Ì.act;Pal12 = act/?¯Œ^‚Æ‚?‚©‚¦‚?‚±.actI only bothered going up to 10 because there were only 10 ACT file. I nulled the last 2 (Pal11 and Pal12) by putting semicolons ( ; ) in front of them as you see. The order was when I put it to my preference according to the number I labeled them. Since the original pallete was labeled "9" as I checked in Fighter Factory, I changed it to look for "9.act"
THANKS SO MUCH THEY FINALLY WORK NOW I APPRECIATE IT Say can you call Demetri and ask him to help me on coding a high res stage to a low res?
If their DEF files aren't referring to the correct filenames by default, then these characters fail already Way to do injustice to Lucky*Star, guys

It's not Yogoreneko's fault, it's Microsoft's fault for having Explorer and Notepad process Japanese characters differently!
MUGEN filenames aren't supposed to be written in Japanese in the first place (readme's and any other file MUGEN doesn't use don't count), and this is exactly why.I mean c'mon, even Nijikaku has all its MUGEN filenames written in English...

Hey, I agree that it's Microsoft's fault. These characters do work for Japanese versions of Winblows, though.Saying "this character fails!" because the creator did not make it to be compatible for people who speak different languages is as absurd as complaining the readme's not in English.

I don't want to get into an argument over this, though. It is play-ready, just not for everyone. Just like a readme in a different language. If Japanese was the business language of the world, would you think it a requirement to write your filepaths in it, if it worked for everyone in the USA anyway? And if some Japanese guy goes to your website, and complains that it "fails" on some Japanese forum, would you really care?
I got you, I see what you're saying. All i'm saying is from the perspective of someone who does not want to put the time in to change all that stuff, to them, this character fails becuz its not play-ready for THEM.But yeah, i got u
WaveBossa said, October 04, 2007, 08:11:19 pmMicrosoft's fault that the mugen character doesn't work........... wowYes. Yes, that's exactly right, Wave-Sensei.Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyI counter your sarcastic amazement with sincerity! OK, so, technically, it could be considered Yogoreneko's fault for not realizing that English Windows behaves like that, but, c'mon, where's the fun in saying that? Side note: I don't have any of his characters. I think they're butt-fugly. Heh.
