Can you guess what stage that might be? sf2 ken's stage! I am an amateur 3d modeler but my brother is a pro, He's going to model all of the stages from the classic Sf2 stage.I'll be porting them to mugen, when the models are complete. The great thing about 3d is that I can make the stage in variety of angles, once I find the angle I like from the final render I'll resprite them for low-res mugen and the 3d render version will be for hi-res mugen. The image above are not final it is still in progress. I'll show some more pic as we progress.this is the stage by DG just imagine it in 3d but from a different angle.
Hm, there's not that much you can do with other angles... but it'd indeed be interesting to have the boat at an angle like the second pic, just with the ground at the same level as the original. But good luck, I hope it can look as good as the original.
The line represent the path which the character move from left to right. The green line is the normal angle from the classic sf game and the pink line is the angle which im thinking of.I hope what i said make sense.
It did.Oh, when converting the models to sprites, try to save each object separately so you can play with deltas and such.
Good luck, man. I'll be sure to keep my eyes on this You always coming out with surprises.Sorry for this off topic question, but are you still working on X? I haven't kept up with many WIPs lately

exactly, and people seem to want those stages (Even though they're badly done)If you want an example of 3d stage on mugen, look no further than cvs training stage by Caddie, though that does have a 16meg sff file.Spoiler, click to toggle visibiltyThough that is small compared to my 48meg 3d stage (so far) sff file for hires mugen.Though apart from taking longer to load works fine on my old p4 laptop

Looking forward to this stage, it's a nice idea. Also, I hope you'll implement parallax properly for the floor. You may want to ask Ziltama to help you on this.
