Fei-Long vs Hon-Fu - not an exact fit, I know, Hon Fu's more a Jackie Chan tribute than a Bruce Lee tribute. But people always made that comparison as well.
Karin vs Whip - battle of the ojou laugh
Ibuki vs Kisarah Westfield - the ninja who wants nothing more than to be a schoolgirl with a hunky boyfriend up against her worst possible match up: a schoolgirl who kills people by making them jealous of her hunky boyfriend.
Urien vs Yashiro / Chris - second fiddle to Gill who resents being in the shadow vs second fiddle to Orochi who doesn't seem to mind as much
BB Hood vs Jyazu / Mars People / Kusaregedo / etc. - the monster hunter vs a monster
Kula vs Tabasa - again, not an exact fit even if Tabasa uses a lot of ice-element magic, I'll be honest I'm just looking for an excuse to include Warzard
Rock vs Yun - both symbolic of the new generation, Rock of Terry and Yun of Gen/Chun-Li.
Raiden vs Haggar because they're both big meaty men slapping meat, and because you need to complete the Final Fight original trinity.

My honest opinion: Jun's back. They could put a damn Gundam in the game and I'd be fine with it.

That said, they saw a lot of people expecting Tifa to make it in after FF7 Remake came in with a very Tekken-sounding theme cover for her. Maybe they'll try and cash in on that?

I didn't need to roll hard on this one either, got most of everyone up to NP2 or NP3 last year. I got the one extra Bunnytoria I wanted then laid off it.

I think the only thing between now and Castoria is the BB Seraph event rerun? I can safely skip that one.

also this is pretty obviously Illuminati stuff. I'm not sure there's anything that conclusively proves that this is set after SFIII but I kinda feel like this is pointing towards a setup where Alex has joined the Illuminati and become all Gill-y and they're rapidly gaining influence, IDK.
That wrestler woman with the red helmet is gonna be playable. She's a perfect fit for a Das Vergeben leak from three months back. The same leak also nailed Jamie as a yellow drunken fist character, and describes that Kimberly girl from the last wide shot of the hub area.

Arcade Mode is as good as the devs will let it be. If it's just eight fights, a boss and a final score, well that's just Time Attack with a different metric. If you go full ham with it though, bonus stages, midbosses, rivals with special intros, score-dependent secret bosses, fancy unique endings... hell, that can be better than some games' attempts at a Story mode.

Far as I'm concerned Arcade Mode should always have a home in a fighting game, so long as it's not completely half-assed. I for one like what SFV did with it as of the first big update, can't remember what they called it, with the themed arcade modes based on previous SF iterations. Sure, we're past the days that even Tekken do fancy FMV endings for everyone now, but even the single comic panel that SFV gave you was a neat enough reward for an arcade run.

Oh man, feels like ages since I've even heard the MvC Cammy voice. That'll take getting used to again.

I'm having some trouble getting Cannon Spike > Cannon Strike during Custom Combo. Was this just tightened up or removed entirely (did that fall under "dive kick while jumping back")?

Makes sense. Personally I'm not too keen on the ammo system either, but PotS' Lei-Lei has something that could show you how her bomb might work as a super. Other than that, the only other thing I'd think about is her glide, but that'd involve someone making new sprites.

Nice. It does feel odd going back to the 3S movelist after SFV.

There are some weird feeling moves, mostly just because that's how Infinite's original version worked too. Glad to see there are changes to Kasumigake in mind, for instance; not a fan of it just being her old DP punch flip, would be interested to see something like that new EX dash from SFV. What did you have in mind when you said "more SFV moves"?

I think it was me..? I know I'd ripped the voice files for SFIV, and I'd converted a couple of characters' worth, just can't remember if Guile was one of them. I know for sure I'd done Cammy for PotS.

Karin looks hunky dory aside from her 270K having this weird looking interaction with your Ryu, could be just CVS2 sprites not working well with Alpha.
