its a pretty useful & informative guide and it uses real world game industry design/programmer job salaries by country as a comparison/example on what skilled creators/qualified artists etc should/shouldnt be charging etc.

Interesting topic and a good point to raise lads.

The mugen community has definitely changed its approach to commissions and paid services in recent years.
Commissions are quite the norm nowadays for all aspects of Mugen, not just characters.
I know several skilled creators doing original spriting/mugen art related commissions frequently.
Personally I've noticed an increasing demand for it in the last 3 years.

Mugen creation in a nutshell is typically 50% coding and C++/Engine knowledge, and 50% digital art/graphic design/animation skills.
Most professional creators I know who do commissions, are primarily freelance graphic/digital artist/game devs,
who just happen to also use mugen, so their commission skills from the online digital art community translate to mugen also.

15 years ago when my Bros GLB , GrayFox, MOTVN & Syn created What became the Newagemugen forums of today,
I never imagined we would have an awesome network of fighting game and art/design loving creator bros from all over the world.

Mugen has given me lifetime friends from places like Abu Dhabi, venezuela, africa, Romania, France, Tibet, Japan, Taiwan, Russia, etc
Mugen opened many doors for me and all my day1 newagemugen brothaz.
It created the platform for us to earn money via commissions doing art/design and all the stuff we love.
Mugen inspired the friends ive made to succeed in becoming DJs/Beatmakers, indie game developers, digital artists/graphic designers, arcade amusement business owners and more.
Mugen was definitely the catalyst and stepping stone for alot of positive minded awesome brothaz and sisterz im grateful to having met in this lifetime :)

We do have a few ppl doing exactly this on NAM forums.
We have a mugen Forbes list section with bios for the widely accepted GOAT veterans,
Such as Reu, illusionista, master yoda, vyn, warusaki, infinite, neo gouki, ricepigeon, djvans, duracelleur, electr0, zerosennin, ikaruga etc,
and a mugen world network section for everyone else that may or maynot be equally as well known.

But theres still many missing and on the list to be done as it is a time consuming task but eventually it should be quite solid and resourceful.
The issue is finding still more still active vets from those golden eras that care enough to document all the lost knowledge of the who and the what, but we make do lol.
