I took a look and the animation directly after the explosion is a typical get hit. So yes it wouldn't be seen unless the bald sprites had their own standard and Jedah was programmed to look for it with your Mina.

It wouldn't be a hard thing to add. Like just give the snippet in a readme and explain where in the applicable Jedah to put it. I think it'd still be worth it because the idea is great!

Sorry to say it, but this head inflation anim is really weird. (Also I feel the idea kind of disgusting...)
IMO her MB anims should not be a priority.

Anyway, I appreciate your great effort to make her complete.

I feel the idea of boobs or body was actually sounds more disgusting than this one though & for the weird one, I just made the anims based on the inflation motions that Capcom did.

Up to you if you wanna try it that way. I don't think there's enough time after the explosion to really show anything else, hence why I suggested just the ponytail instead. Unless you feel doing anything else would work? Can always try various things to see which ones would work (plus if anyone decides to use them for the animation, they'd have plenty of choices to go with). If you're gonna stick with full hair, definitely will want to touch up on it a bit more I feel. It'd definitely look a bit more ballonish, especially the ponytail which would look like a giant ball (see Grizela's Sangue=Passare where her entire tail eventually becomes a giant ball), but as for the rest of her hair...I'm honestly not sure how that would be handled lol. I've never seen a hair Sangue ever so I don't know how to deal with it! @_@;

The original as in Iori's or someone else's? Hm...not sure actually. It's just slightly torn during the last two frames it looks like and not really shrunken at all. Which is odd, because I feel at that stage it'd start slipping a bit off the body but seeing as that isn't a thing that seems to happen much in SVC, probably not something to worry about lol.

If it's only on the tail, would it be weird that her hair gets inflate but, the hair on the head don't? That sounds like she's wearing a fake hair, her hair is incredibly long & it is connecting to the tail because of the ribbons. Besides, the bald idea actually would make that inflations becomes maybe slightly unique? & hey, this is hair not a tail lol, if I made her ponytail got balloned like grizela would it be making her sangue passare lose her uniqueness?

No, I was talking all mbs in svc not someone else's nor even only Iori, some of them are shrunk, & I got my own reference which I based on.

I really like what you made and the bald idea is golden!

Hm...the hair's not a bad idea. I feel the ponytail itself alone would work, kinda like Felicia's tail in that regards, so give hers a look-see. The whole hair itself? Not so much.

Yeah, I'm aware of that (some I suggested because it fit the characters, others were done by others anyways so lol). Again, Mina and Nakoruru are the only 2 that I think that'd work from Samurai Showdown but, that's just my opinion. The hair isn't a bad choice. I also suggested something like belly or hips for Mina, since those are exposed on her a lot too (granted, those aren't very unique either I suppose heh). Butt can also work well for her. But hair is the most unique of the batch (...I can't think of anyone off the top of my head that's had their hair inflated actually in MUGEN).

As for the Midnight Bliss, I noticed in the very last frame the skirt suddenly shrinks. I still feel the skirt should follow the logics similar behind like say...Iori's MB skirt. That might look better in that regards. Still the issues with shoes shrinking as they do, but that's minor I suppose.

I made full hair because I want to add the moment when Mina's hair got explode, Mina shown she's completely bald very2 briefly. I haven't add the animations for the moment she explodes, because I'm not sure this will work or not.

I noticed on the original mb from 1st frame to the last, the skirt was shown to be slightly shrink & teared as they were decomposing, aren't they? I made the shrinking skirt based on that, though.

Ah, I see. Yeah, some do get a bit darker than others, but I think that one was a bit TOO dark compared to everything else.

The move used by Jedah is what Sangue=Passare is. I can certainly see Lilith's being used for Mina (her and Nakoruru are the only two I see that being a possibility for that kind of Sangue=Passare), but up to you if you decide to try it for her~

Mngh... IDK... I mean, Mina's breasts are pretty well endowed. I don't think the "Lilith" treatment should be applied to her imo. Idk what else could work, though I'm not really fond of the state overall, so w/e Viofitz decides(if her decides to do it at all) is alright I guess.

Mina Sangue Passare?

Midnight Bliss fix.

To be frank, inflated boobs for Mina isn't something unique anymore since Lilith & even most of your (Xenomic) edits have those. & Midnight bliss also got fix on the last 2 frames. So far in my mind, her long hair might the one that should be inflated maybe... But, if you don't like, I could try another ideas.

For the inflate animation I'd make her being held up while holding Chample and he's getting inflating and blows up. While she's reacting watching.

It'd work even if someone added him to her or not.

She wouldn't be replaced with him. I'm imagining her holding her arms out with him standing on the palms of her hands and getting inflated. She's the one being held. But he's blowing up like a toy in her hands. The only thing that'd be off is that he'd magically teleport from where ever he is to her when she's grabbed but that's not something that doesn't happen a lot in fighters.

I just get tired of the same old body inflate stuff is all :P I'd rather her arrow case inflate than anything actually on her because it'd be more unique.

I kinda liked that idea but, Champuru must be with her & it would have to make Champuru either jump or whatever to get Mina's holding him.

Arrow... Maybe the moment where she's about to get inflated she's trying to defend herself by pointing arrow to Jedah but, Jedah instead make the arrow inflate.

The Queens Blade attacks are very cool. Great job. The MB and Shock are great as well.

It doesn't matter anymore since the video preview was already up without the translations. & thanks for the support.

Awesome stuff, now that last attack appears strange to me. The part when she is running with, the bg animation. I guess she is running horizontal, with the animation. Beyond that, the others are well put together.

Thanks. If I use the stage background they aren't long/far enough to make her run that long & I have to make extra stage & the floor just for that run scenes. So, it'd be better to make her run in with that BG FX.

for the qb attack UI'd sugegst to make them a bit faster/more fluid, some actions last a bit too much and lack dynamicity because of that, the last attack is perfect on that aspect.

I tried to improvise on that but, I actually just followed how the game works.

Hmm...I love the first frame of the shock animation. That's really well done! I really like how you handled the hair in that one, that's really neat. The pose is also well chosen and is super unique too! For the X-Ray version, however, it could use some touching up on. Maybe some of these may help?

As for the Midnight Bliss? I'm...not sure how keen I myself am on that one. The concept of it isn't bad, and the draining isn't that bad either (some things I noticed is I don't think her arm/hands would look that way simply because of the anatomy there. The head wouldn't get that dark either as opposed to the rest of the body, it'd still be as dark as the rest. Also, the shoes wouldn't shrink like that at all, because shoes don't do that. The only exception to this rule are boots, which Guile/Bison did well enough. Also, thighighs wouldn't shrink like that either and would instead slip down more. Same with the skirt in that manner.  Strange to see the necktie thingie just outright disappear like that alongisde the shirt outright like that but eh!), but...I don't know, maybe it's just me (I'm not one into too perverted of things myself haaa. ^^; ). I'd take another look at the SVC Chaos Midnight Blisses and see how they handle some things there personally.

The X-ray mode was actually referenced from a direct SFA shock sprites.

Midnight Bliss also a direct reference from SVC sprites here. If you take a look on your MB sprites, some of them got their heads darker than their body but, you got the point that I'm actually not quite satisfied on the different tone of colors. I reedited them back including the skirt drain. As for the concept of her outfit was based from Mina's appearance in Days of Memories, where she wore a school uniform:

those are cool attacks but what would happen when you are using another palette? will those images change colors too?

Another palette will likely use all blue color tone I guess... But, I'll see what I can do, haven't work on the images actually. That image sequence are actually taken from Queen's Gate video scene of Mina's attacks.

Coincidentally, some of her original SS0 sprites bear some similarities to CVS Mai so, it makes me even easier to create Mina in CVS style.

This pic is a screenshot of Mina's attack select list from Queen's Gate, I only able to read the hiragana & katakana but, not the kanji. & Queen's Gate sprites is 100% done, maybe just add an extra portrait for Queen's Gate attacks. Will post the video animations soon.

I wouldn't really use these great sprites for just making an alternate sff anyway. This is definitely worthy of a with new programming and everything. Something in Divine style or CvS2 would be an instant addition in my roster.

Maybe later or never, I'm focussing on finishing her animations to show how she works.

I mean, if you really don't want to, then don't. I figure his default scheme from SS is fine. I hope he doesn't deter you from finishing her overall. Don't know nothing bout him, aside from he's not important enough for all that. I'm not sure how many sprites he has, though I assume it isn't too hard converting him, since he's so small? Whatever you feel is best.

Great work on the new anims... Aside from the Power Charge... Not feeling it personally. Though that Rage anim you had here early will be present in the set, correct? That anim seemed more befitting imo, though either or could work. As long as one has the option between the two, it's no biggy. Mai is a perfect base for her. The anims transition between the two great and I like how even though you used Mai as base, she still looks like Mina. A lot of times I see people use chars as base, and they don't work enough on the base to actually make it look like the intended char they're going for. She's turning out great, good luck, and keep up the good work.

She's completely finished though, just need to make her anims works. Champuru is very important to Mina, aside being her only friends in arms he's also the main enemy of Mina who killed her village people. For now it's not hard anymore converting him into CVS but, to make him working completely with Mina it would like making another new full character. Because, during Mina's fight he always there cheering her or crying if Mina's lost & some of Mina's moves involves him to cooperate.

Thank You. Yes, that rage anim will be present in the set, I tooked down because I'm fixing them. Yeah, CVS Mai is a perfect base for me, because some of Mai spritesets & design are close enough to Mina's. So, Mai gives me a big opportunity to make the edits easier but, also gave Mina's slight resemblance to Mai.

About Champuru.
As a small side character, don't make him a priority.
Just keep the regular Champuru. perhaps, palette swap can make it.

Priority to Mina IMO.

Mina's completely done though, just need to create the animations now.

To note, leave his current sprites in. This is a character I wouldn't mind converting at some point so I'd still want all his sprites and her interactions with him. I'm sure others would also.

At this moment I don't know, I might just leave him or keep working if I got more time. He's not that hard to deal but, tiring yes.

These sprites look absolutely wonderful. This is how I imagined Mina if she were in CvS2. Keep up the excellent work. I know that they would be put to good use once they are done. :)

I'm curious though, what's this about Queen's Blade features? And will you be doing any other custom sprites for Mina like for custom animations not native to her game? o.o?



Mostly doing some of her attacks that doesn't exist in the original SS games.

Kinda hopeless continuing him, aside being nowhere from CVS style, people hates him very much. But, I can't help it to do this because, several of Mina's moves & winposes involves his existence. If I decided not to finish him, he'll likely only appear on the winposes above. Atleast, it would be the best way to make him less annoying. His current progress is likely only 5%.

IDK much about the char, but she looks great. Great work. A few things I wanted to ask/say. First, I just wanted to thank you directly for all the great edits you've made for various CvS chars. Of which, I've used some myself. Next, a few questions concerning Mina:

What are you doing with her weapon exactly? Are you changing up the shading or something? Or are you doing things like when chars lost their weapons in SS? The latter function was excluded from CvS, so I don't think it necessary imo to bother with her w/o weapon sprites. I'm not entirely sure, though perhaps some of them could be used in a sense, to give her all the normal attacks she'd need for a 6 button layout.

I'm curious on how you're adapting her normals as well. I'll just have to keep an eye on progress. I hope you become inspired to do so other chars possibly down the line as well. You really do great work and it's awesome to see chars reborn so to speak with new spritesets and all. Good luck with everything.

Weapon was mostly rescale to fit the CVS sprites however, for a better CVS shading I'm going to leave it to this community.

Well, her time up pose lost was actually throws her weapon away & it can also works as her suicide moves in her games.

All normals are done, most of them are following from her games but, some are new moves but, some also stole the exact moves from other CVS characters since I lost the ideas for more new moves. It's just matter of her weapon & champuru for now.

Feedback:
- In all gifs, I don't know why the area below her chest is that illuminated, it casts shadow so there shouldn't be light there.
- Also, the skirt seems to have a different lightsource. Where does it come from? Did you get it from somewhere?

-Her back is pillow shaded.
Why does she look at us (the viewer) when she pick her weapons up?

- When she finishes the movement, her forearm and hand seem to receive light from below.

- Her left arm (viewer's right) could use some fixes in terms of shading, respecting the lightsource, same thing for the hand.

I see... Do me a favor to feel free to fix them like what you've said, I'm too busy on editing her weapon & Champuru here. Also fyi in the original game, her head & eyes also looking on us when she pick her weapon back.
