Looks really good.
I'm only affraid this WIP disapears and never be completed ^^;
Just like your old Mai project.
Few months ago, I started tweaking Sonia sprites, with the same intention of giving her a sexier body. (but same costume)
The kind of tweak I do usually for personal use, because many ppl consider it's not a big change.
But your version is the real deal. 
Hope she will "exist" and not disapear.
maybe something similar will happen

That Sonia is really nice! I like how you got rid of the bell bottom pants. Clever use of color separation as well I see. She can still have pants due to the ankle strap, and have the option for shorts like you have there. This is something you should definitely finish.
EDIT:
She seems a bit too tall tho? Idk how tall she is, but I'd guess maybe as tall as King? She looks taller. I understand you changed the scaling to CVS standards, but that'd be my only bit of criticism. Overall tho, it's not a big deal.
