I love it dude.
Well, did you try anything based on the existing rules for creating palletes? Top left/bottom right depending on program used. 256 colours. That applies to EVERYTHING.ok, so it doesn't matter what palette I use for the sprites that are using "unshared palettes." I don't have to use the shared palettes. That correct?
Fonts, sprites, blah blah blah they're all the same thing. Pallete them.
In order for sprites to have different palettes they must be shared.
Otherwise, an easy way is to download MCM, load up a SFF file, then unclick the box that says "shared." Once you do, the unshared sprite(s) will not be affected by any of the character's palettes.
If the image is distorted, make sure you have a picture of the sprites how it should correctly appear, click "change palette" in MCM, change the lower drop down to find .pcx, find your image, then load it. It should fix the image in the SFF. If you do this method with shared sprites, all of the sprites in the SFF will change to the .pcx image you select. This can be good or bad depending on what your trying to do.
If you want all of the sprites shared, yes, they should have the same transparent background and it must be the first color in the palette, otherwise, no.
It would be cool if you could make stages where falling off the edges killed you... with a character coded correctly this could provide Super Smash Bros style functionality and open up a whole new market for you (I have many friends who would never touch a fighter game but still love to play SSB)
Thanks guys for the explanation.
b/c I was thinking about making platform levels for a SSBB Mugen perhaps?
Well it was a thought.
No, cos it's stupidly specific. And you need a really good knowledge of most of what mugen can do. Once you have that knowledge, you no longer need a tutorial.
I have good Idea maybe me or c00per can write an tutorial. I have little problem because I'm from Poland and my English isn't very good ^^
Yeah, you pretty much nailed it, those are like custom sheets of pcx and wav files.
Sff: sff is the sprites of a character for me i can only get 256 BITMAP and PCX image files to work 24bitmap dont
SND: is the music/sound effects for your character they can only be WAVS files
