Thank you... to each and every single one of you.
I've been feeling a lot better recently... and mostly thanks to you.

It is quite difficult to stay positive when the only family you have does nothing but bring you down.
That's the very reason why this state has lasted for so many years...

I'm already seeing a psychologist, but she just doesn't find a way to help...

I see some of you guys have been through the same (and worse), while still managing to stay happy and positive, enjoying the little things in life...

Spending time with friends truly helps avoiding negative thoughts. And I've seen an unusual amount of friends after making this thread...

I was going to post this yesterday, but fell asleep while typing, and for the time I woke up, I already felt like garbage. Couldn't finish the whole thing...

All your advice has been extremely useful, I'm certainly trying to find a new hobby that doesn't cost me any money (since I'm pretty broke right now)...

... I've already got some plans, even if I don't have a concrete solution.

I've been commenting about my mental state ever since I started posting (about 3~4 years ago), every year. And how I've wanted to leave Mugen SO MANY TIMES...
I hope this is the last time you guys see me complain about life on here...
It's time to do something about it.

Again, I can't thank you enough, guys. Really...

So I told the one person I love about my feelings yesterday...
I'm fucking devastated, guys.
... I haven't met anyone like her on this city... ever...

I'm always in a state of perpetual mental-instability... always depressed... using videogames to hide from my crippling insecurity... for years now.
I thought that telling her the truth would give me reasons to live... but...
My soul hurts... I do not have any friends IRL, because of my disability to understand other people's emotions...
... I spend most of my time studying and gaining knowledge... so that maybe that way people would appreciate me... so that perhaps I'd feel loved... for once...
With no results...
I wish I didn't exist completely... people are better without my company...

Yeah, I know I sound like a total fucking loser, and that's probably the right term to describe someone like me...
Nothing I try ever works, MFG. Belief is the only thing preventing me from suicide...

I need some advice at life... before I lose the little sanity I have left and end my own misery..

So, I just went to a public computer and updated Ryu, Dan, and Akuma/Oni just for the sake of it!

I was bothered by some lil' glitches they had.
They were just visually painful, but they HAD to be fixed.
Well, at least when it comes to Dan/Ryu.

The changes were...

>Dan
- Fixed the Otoko Michi's "crying Dan" background sprite, not appearing properly on certain screen-resolutions.
> Ryu
- Fixed Master Ryu's Classic Shakunetsu Hadouken's HUGE contact-explosion.
  Surprised no one told me about that. It was a necessary update.
>Akuma / Oni
- Added the (A.I.-only) Triple Shakunetsu Hadouken and Triple Gorai Hadouken, from Tekken 7 and Asura's Wrath.
- Shin Akuma can now use the (Triple) Shakunetsu Hadouken when controlled by the A.I.
- Shin Akuma's Tatsumaki Zankuu Kyaku (after transformed in mid-battle) will have an electric effect, instead of fire (just like Oni/regular Akuma).

That's it for now, guys. I'll likely be updating Dudley next.
About Q... well, I think there's nothing to fix, add, or change there.
The ONLY thing he's missing is a Palette Selector (and Color Separation), really.

(Make sure to check the "Projects" thread linked above, if you want to make palettes for Dan/Dudley).

I still have to fix the "debug flood" on all chars, but that's not something I can do with little time at... a public PC.


The download links remain the same.

Sorry for the late reply, I hade another post but I ran out of battery and again, the whole thing was lost...

Make that SFV FX and I'll give you a new CS. All the SFV moves are too easy to replicate, not much to take from Tekken.You haven't missed anything, go forward 1-2 pages won't take long, you'll quickly hit that 2+months ago since you stopped. As for suggestions you have a ton of unnecessary junk in your sff. It's a mess in general, but you already know that. No need for a lvl1-5 super. Lower it to lvl3 and not 5. Then again that's kind of the appeal with your version I've heard, people like that crazy-ness. I don't personally use it, but that's my opinion.

Wait, you can make a color separation for him?! ;_;
And yes, the whole code is a mess...
So is the .sff file. But mostly because of the placeholder, unused Cyber Akuma sprites.
That, and maybe 1~2 special effects.

Sure, SFV only added 3 moves to his moveset (the [/i]Sekia Kuretsuha[/i], his V-Skill + 2 follow-ups, and his V-Trigger).
Plus some Normals and variations to his already existing moves (Tatsumaki, EX Hyakki Shuu, etc).

Tekken 7, on the other hand, added a move that's gonna change A LOT how the fight against A.I. Akuma goes.
An A.I.-only move
The Triple Shakunetsu Hadouken (for Shin Akuma).
A.I.-Oni is also getting a Triple Gorai Hadouken, based on Asura's Wrath.

Tekken 7 also added the Joudan Sokutou Geri (Ryu's "donkey kick"), a bunch of Normals, variations for already existing moves (like the EX Tatsumaki), and some follow-ups for the Hyakki Shuu.


Some of Akuma's moves will also be reworked.
His Gouha Ken and Kimonkai feel clunky and underwhelming.

The one thing I'm struggling to figure out... is hius new moveset.
Akuma and Shin Akuma both get new moves, while Oni gets... nothing (other than the AI-only move).
So I need to figure out how to have their movesets include all moves, without making Oni have half as many as the other 2.

Also fixing a couple bugs here and there, like his "Time Over" animation.

Actually, the true reason why I added 5 bars was because of the Shin Shun Goku Satsu.
I mean, the Shun Goku Satsu always costs 3 bars, so how could the Shin Shun Goku Satsu ALSO cost the same?
That was the initial reason behind it tbh, but maybe I could make both moves cost 3 bars, with a lot of technical differences.
The SSGS deals more damage, while it's got less range and it's more difficult to land, maybe.

It's been been over half a year since last time I posted here, I think.
In february I made a pretty long post, but my Internet connection failed for a momment and the whole thing was lost.
So, as writting on phone is so damn PAINFUL, I was frustrated and didn't bother to try posting it again.

PC
I still haven't got a new PC.
The last updates for the characters, in November, were done on a friend's PC, at her house, while she was on another city.
Her PC also died about a week I made the update.

So here's the thing. I've got a job now (yay!...), bought a 3DS and 2 games, and currently I'm saving money to get a PC.


I've been on a mental downhill of (literal) crippling depression since that PC died, lmao.
Realized that because of my disability to understand other people's emotions and the lack of affection I've received IRL, making MUGEN characters was the only way I could feel "appreciated" and therefore happy in life.

That's the reason I've left Mugen so many times, only to come back months later.
Realized this only a couple weeks ago.
(I'm still 1~2 years away from living on a temple, so, got enough time to make more content...).

SO, as soon as I get another PC I'll start making Mugen characters again.

Updates
The first thing I'll do without a doubt is update the 1.1 version of Ryu.
(Or maybe both versions).

The other day I installed Mugen on a friend's PC at school, and noticed that the explosion that happens from Master Ryu's Classic Shakunetsu Hadouken after impact, was incredibly huge.
I updated the char on a really small amount of time under inconvenient circumstances, so I wasn't able to test him enough to notice.


The other thing I was planning was re-making Akuma from scratch (kind of).
When I made the last update, someone told me what "debug flood" was. I have to fix that on all 5 chars, but ESPECIALLY Akuma.

Since I started making that char when I was like, 11~12, the code is a complete mess.

Not to mention how slow he runs in Mugen 1.0

I was thinking in making him much more balanced, removing the unfinished and useless "Game Selector" thing, adding some more intro-dialoguess, adding a Palette Selector (like Dan/Dudley, based on Infinite's chars and... y'know), MAYBE (maybe) some Color-Separation on the sprites, removing the clunky unfinished Cyber Akuma mode, and optimizing it for Mugen 1.0.

As well as adding a bunch of stuff from SFV and Tekken 7.
(Mainly his new moves; Sekia Kuretsuha, etc).

New Characters
Playing a bunch of Injustice on PS4, I got a liking for comics. Mainly DC and their characters.
Since the Injustice 2 trailers, I've been pretty hyped on making a Dr. Fate char.

(Some screenshots in case you don't know  the character):




He quickly became my favorite Comic character (along Dr. Manhattan), but as I have little to no creativity, I wouldn't be able to make a Dr. Manhattan char.
(In other words, Dr. Fate's probably be the first char I make next, using his Injustice 2 moveset).
I would make Zod as well, just for the fact that he's fun as fuck to play in the first game.
(But there's not enough sprites for him).

What about the planned SF chars?
Yeah I mean, I was going to make Oro, Dhalsim, Jinpachi Mishima (Tekken), Maximillian Dood, and... Makoto? (I think Necro, too...)

But it's been long time already.

I've got no idea if someone already made those characters.
I know someone made a Makoto char already (varo_hades, I think?) And last time I checked, Trololo was making a Dhalsim char on this style.
Chuchoryu also told me he's been working a lot on the sprites for Maximilian and Jinpachi. So they're most likely, pretty much done (I'm aware Chuchoryu is pretty infamous here, but I'll handle the characters' code).

So I have 3 questions for you guys...

- Which characters have been released on the >"CvS3" (Modern-PotS) style over the last 6 months?
(Or last year... I moved away from the community in April of 2016).
- Would you guys actually like a Dr. Fate char on this style?
(Maybe I could start making some more comic characters, like Venom)
- And last, do you agree with the changes for the Akuma char?

Mainly the fact that I have a job now.

So I finally bought a Nintendo 3DS 3 days ago...

My next aim is to buy another, shitty PC.
It won't take so long amirite.
I should be able to find some outdated toaster to work on some stuff for 100 dollars...

Guys, I still want to work on the Maximilian Dood char. However, now that I have a job it's not nearly impossible for me to get a PC.
In some weeks or about 1-2 months I might be able to get back on coding an' stuff.

Alright. I was gonna post an update on how I might re-do my Akuma char, remo ing useless stuff, making it more balanced & optimized, and adding his SFV stuff. But it was a really long message and I couldn't post it because of some dumb misclick thanks to my phone (fucking hell). So I never bothered to write that again.

If any of you has a 3DS (or Wii U? idk), could you please add me through Friend-Code?
My friend list is still empty. Let me know if you do so I can add you back! XD

1.0 Q isn't working properly at all.



EX charge punch just causes the opponent to freeze up in place. You can do this multiple times.

Level 2 punch super does similar, and if done on an aerial opponent they just float away.



WOW! So apparently the characters have missing files, eh?
First Ryu, and now Q...
I guess I'll have to make sure the .RAR file contains everything next time. This is the first time it happens, but I understand as it's not my PC.


Open up mugen hit control+d,  start moving around do every move if you have white test in the top left something is wrong,thats the engine telling you what issues your code has, errors and stuff, its really handy.
If you remove the debug flood the chars will work way better, I am surprised you dont know what it is.
This is the engine's way to find any errors in the code. It will help you solve major issues with the chars, also debug flood is bad, bad for the code and functionality of the char also bad for FPS at least thats why I heard for the last part.
 Open up every char from a well respected code, lets say jmorphman, you'll see none of his stuff has debug flood.

I'll probably get it done the next (second) update after the next one (which won't even be an update. I'll just re-upload the chars making sure everything is in).

REALLY? It was clearly a bug in WinRar then.
The PC I was using barely works so I'm not surprised anyway.

On 1.1 Q has debug flood when you crouch also when you do the DB DB two punches hyper.

Dan also has lots of debug flood something about state 56, same for Q. You should check those out.
Dan also has debug flood when the round begins. I will try Akuma later.

Edit again, both of em have lots of debug flood on every special and hyper, I turned the zoom off still the same thing.
Most of these floods come from state 56, Q does not have that many but Dan has a lot.

Great updates though. I really hope you polish them up cause they are great.

I need to ask... what exactly is a "debug flood"?
I can't fix it if I don't know what to fix...

I'm trying so hard to not to fall asleep as I type this...
You see MFG, my PC is still dead. I could only do this because a friend of mine is outside the city and I'm taking care of her cats.
So I installed a bunch of programs on her PC to make this update possible.
She's likely leaving this city for real now... So again, I'm not sure if I'll be able to update the chars again.
(Not that it matters anyway. I always say I won't update the characters... and look what we have here now, heh)

Alright. Pretty much everything is done. I have to do a couple things to Dudley, Ryu, and Akuma, but they'll most likely be uploaded today, lmao.
Dudley's got 60 Palettes, heh

For now, bonus points to anyone who gets these references...



And some much harder, stupid ones...



Just have to add the zoom-selector (Config.txt) to Akuma and Ryu, and the Palette selector to Dudley.
Gotta work on it now.

Do you plan to have zoomless versions of the chars or I have to remove it myself for 1.1 ?

I'll go work on these chars again in a couple hours.
Will probably spend 10 hours or so, and then update the characters XD
Yes, I'm planning on giving them a CONFIG.TXT (which some of them already have) to enable/disable the Camera Zoom.
I'll probably include the option to disable the Super-Charge-Zoom ONLY, too.

Any suggestions for a change/improvement you'd like to see? XD

FUCKING FINALLY.

I've got the Dudley CS (thanks to Rei) and already made the Palette template for him...

Here it is, folks!




The characters will LIKELY be updated in two more days or so...
