it's 2018, the only people who give two shits about sprite credits and such are the same assholes who bitch endlessly about pots edits, mvc edits, source accuracy, and having any sort of fun in general. Ignore them and move on.

This is not true in the slightest.

If I made sprites/code/whatever I would like to be credited in the readme or whatever. It's literally 1 line and all it does is ackoknowledge the effort someone put into  into what they made, I do this for everyone, Capcom, coders, spriters, anything and everyone whose stuff I used to make my creations.

Not doing this would in fact have an adverse effect on MUGEN and creators in general, when people don't recognise the work that went into what you made (or even worse, falsely attribute that work to someone else as they didn't credit your contribution) what would motivate you to make any more?

But you can select the system in that game on all characters, so it's not entirely "separate".

Okay I downloaded his Akuma just to see what it's like.

This is bad, Normally I would test everything but I can't even do the basic l xx m xx h xx S xx up xx m xx m xx h xx s combo.

Velocities are very wrong also and there are like no hit pauses.

Look at kamekaze's chars if you want a decent UMVC3 experience.

Smash Bros. did the whole "wacky Japanese atmosphere fighter" much better, while keeping it much friendlier to Western cultures, barring Smash 4's nonsense.


what the heck are you talking about here??? can you elaborate about how smash 4 has a "Japanese atmosphere"?

While the spites look great and moveset seems interesting (I like the command drop) I have a serious problem with this:

Equilibrium: This combo break will teleport Veroniva above the player attacking and R.K.O. them both to the ground together. AI will have a chance to do this at 15 hit combos and increased chances as the combo continues.

So what happens if I am playing Ryo and do zan-retsuken or ryuko ranbu,? Just take an L cause those moves happen to do a lot of hits (despite doing no more damage than any other special or super), what about characters that have to do a long combos to decent damage, they're boned too?

I understand your want to stop cheap chars from TODing you be it also punishes fair characters as well.

It's already busted. There are numerous 1 card links that can spam your ass off just like everything else. If anything, links are like better, more generic Synchros.

Regardless My fave format was 2011. I think that was Dark world/Sam Format? Heavy was banned. I enjoyed that. it was good.

I also liked the format following the first TCG (not OCG list)

As it stands, (and it has for a long, long time) YGO is a race to spam your huge ass shit off first and then set (or HOLD now, since the advent of numerous hand traps) your nopes to stop your opponent from doing the same.

Even worse are the decks like Master Peace, which just is huge and nigh-immortal or the freaking Trickstars, whose whole goal is to remove your hand turn one and then slowly burn you to death while you sit back and watch.

This is why I don't play meta decks any more. Round 1 is just basically a coinflip. rounds 2 and 3 are more interesting since the side deck comes into play, but I don't tend to play those and even if I did Trickstar and all the negates are just so unfun to fight I'd rather not duel them anyway.

I found a bug with Fighter Factory Studio. The "Run the current project in engine..." function isn't working as it's keeps not detecting the cns file of any character I load up. Example:

Error message: Can't read file: Constants.cns
Error loading chars/ffs_0/ffs_0.def
Error loading p1

Fighter Factory 3 doesn't have this issue and runs it fine. The cns file is spelled correctly and it's in the character's files. This makes it difficult for me to play test a character without having to run the engine itself. Do you know what's causing this?

I'm getting this same error too.

The files do work, I've tested them in mugen. But for some reason they don't work when loading through FFX.

Also, I wanted to ask, can I set the game to load in Simul? that would be really helpful.

I assume you're going to implement winquotes and special winquotes vs. characters?\

Are you going to be able to select colours on the screen like a real game?

Good luck on this project, I would love to use this!

Hey this is really cool!

Somethung that would be helpful is if you could have multiple defs in the characters folders and you could select the version of the character you wanted to use after you selected them.

The game I'm making will have tag And I wanted to implement assists in such a fashion. Do you think you can do that?

the best option for multi-hit moves like this is

movehitreset


then have a var vount up for each hit.

so something like:

above the hitdefs:
[State 1350, add hit var]
type = Varadd
trigger1 = !time
var(8) = 1

in the middle here change the hitdefs to instead of saying "Parent, var(8) =" to just have var(8) = 1, 2 or 3

[State 1350, reset move for more hits!]
type = MoveHitReset
trigger1 = var(8) < (parent, var(8)) + 1
trigger1 = movecontact = 1
