It's been about two years, but I've finally decided to make a new character. I absolutely did not like how I did Kung Pow, nor did I like how inaccurate he was to the game he came from (even if my changes did make him a million times more fun to play), so instead of making Kung Pow 2.0, I've decided to say "Fuck it" and make something new. Thus, Lockjaw.

Lockjaw is going to be as accurate as I can possibly make him to Clayfighter: Sculptor's Cut, meaning he'll have all sorts of infinites and bugs as well as atrociously questionable frame data.

Stuff to look forward to:
- Accurate frame data (as accurate as it can be anyway considering I recorded a fucking emulator of all things)
- The combo "counter" from the original game as well
- Ridiculous command buffering
- All of the poor, lazy design choices as they are in-game (infinites and bugs galore)
- More than one palette (my old Kung Pow didn't have more than the default one because the white outfit was considered part of his skin)
- All of his Claytalities (including the "Launch Off Island" Claytality and body chop one)
- Sprites that I had to rip myself because the imbeciles on spriters-resource were too lazy to do their jobs correctly (this actually goes for pretty much all of their Clayfighter 63 1/3 and SC spritesheets)

Things that are done:
- All the standard stuff (standing, walking, jumping, etc.)
- Hit sprites
- Standing Normals (close and far range)

Things that are not done:
- Intro/Taunt/Winposes
- Crouching/Air Normals as well as command normals
- Throws
- Specials
- Supers
- Claytalities

Expect a video whenever I finish up the rest of his normals just to see what he looks like in terms of gameplay.

Updated Tails today. He now sports an air dash and strong variations of specials (more in the changelist). He should be even more comfortable to play now.

1. Seafox Hyper doesn't combo like it should.
2. I feel he would benefit from an airdash, maybe something like Veanko's Tails where the focus attack button makes him fly.
3. I feel like the specials could have more variation. I don't see much of a difference between the LP and MP bomb. Also, I recommend making it so that two buttons activate the EX move, since the hypers are done with double quarter circles.
4. I feel he could use a damage buff.
5. Also, I think that either the napalm bomb should be destroyed when hit with a projectile, or have the bomb itself not hit the opponent at all, Tam-Tam's ground fireball thingy.

1. I am aware of this. I'm very unhappy with how I executed this super, and have improved upon it.
2. An air dash is something I will consider in the future.
3. Noted for later. Having a "strong" variation of each special would be greatly beneficial for the character, and it's something I wish to put in a future update.
4. I actually never thought this was the case, but I have made changes to this.
5. I've been meaning to give Napalm Bomb a piece of my mind for a while. It's taken a hefty cut.

With (some, not all; the rest will come later) of this info at hand, I have now updated Tails to a [hopefully] more comfortable state. My website still works, so you should be able to download the update there.

Feedback would be great as always, as I'm looking to improve upon my own work all the time.

Simply getting up after losing a round like in KI or Darkstalkers would be pretty neat. Maybe changing lifebar colors afterward, as well.

UPDATE (Sept. 7, 2017): Added an air dash, as well as a few more balancing changes, adding a strong variant to all specials. Changed Sea Fox a bit, too.



I hated this Tails.

He's the least favorite character I've ever made (which may or may not be saying a ton given the really stupid shit I've made). His entire design as a fighter was to be based on the game this particular one came from, having different abilities to choose from and using what you have to work with to get through the challenge ahead. Pretty much everything I did with the character I didn't like. The sheer lack of balance between his three movesets (it was more like 2 1/2 since one of them combined several elements from both) and overall poor decision-making lead to an extremely lousy character.

So I decided to update him. The update isn't exactly an entire rework more than it is me picking my favorite elements from each playstyle and putting them into one, so if you had the previous version you should feel right at home. It also includes some bug fixes and tweaks to better suit the character and make him more fun to play.

I literally took this off the Clayfighter wikia (I think the actual picture came from Nintendo Power or something). I do have a full body portrait if you require it, but I wanted to make it fit better as an MK port.

I'm honestly confused as to why you thought Adom was a big deal in the first place. He's just a parody of a friend who was a brony (who isn't anymore because he simply got uninterested in the show). That same guy actually loves the character; believes he's hilarious. Either way, Adom's kind of an old concept; I don't even work on him anymore because I felt like I ruined whatever he had going for him to begin with, and that I would continue to do so.

As for this character, why would you need a password to extract it to begin with? Isn't that counter-intuitive to the idea of getting people to try it out? I dunno, it just seems strange. I'd be more willing to try your character out if literally everything about this wasn't suspicious to me.

I like the combos and the design is solid. Don't know if you spent much time, but it looks and plays well. How much time did it take you to do your sprites for this char? Just curious because I am thinking about making some myself. Congrats on the release, great job and keep em coming!

I spent a little over a week working on it, took a break for a few weeks, then came back to it a few days ago and released the char. Unbelievably rushed and yet people still like it. Oh well, nothing to see here. I'll just wait in solitude for more critiquing.
