Half right. In the veeeery beginig, it was suggested a groove system, but quickly rejected because of the extra coding and such, so I suggested that each character could have stuff from their game of origin(for exemple, people from SF3 could have blocking, Zero could use the rolling or the chain combo, etc), this was rejected because some people thought it would result in an unbalanced game.

And SFV added this, using strategic use for these things(Ken running, Ryu blocking, etc) ^_^'! So, yes, I think using a system similar to SFV could work.  We, of course could add original content(look at Balthazar's throw recovery, for example, using dodge sprites from CvS).

About who could be contributing...I'd like to offer my help at the spriting path. But I'm currently booked with Ash and Leona(also completing Chunners, which could be of  agood use too). You can also count with Viper and Rose if needed :).

We then have to stick with characters from zero, Three and few from SF1, SF4 and SFV...or wait to people actually sprites them into a common style. That's why CbS could be more functional, since it's a bit easierthan converting fron 3D.

Me too, but my spriting skills has decreased DRASTICALLY so I could not be a big help at it U_U

Hi, welcome and etc :)

- SIZE: It depends on the style you want to give to your character. Also, be careful with proportions too. Street Fighter(specially Alpha) looks more cartoony than SNK, and CvS is kinda the halfway style between them. And of course, the size of each sprite MUST match with next or inside the character(not a big sprite for the gethit and a smaller one for a stand, for example).
- ANIMATION: Again, it lies in the style you want. Number of sprites in stand, punches, etc...varies from KoF to SF3.
- PROGRAMS: I use MSPaint and I'm quite happy with the results. Here's a trick: I often use Photoshop for "copy" an animation with rough lines, and then pick that sprite up to MSPaint and do the shading job.

Yes Trololo, they're a bit grayer than the blue I put. Thought in this tone because that part of the trailer was so gray and put his classic blue instead.

I've been busy with projects and RL stuff. Also, some downs...but, let's stand up!

Can someone edit Super Mario's sprites to make a Sonic Battle-styled Idle animation? Also can some one edit the sprites to make actual walking animations, both forward and backward? Sorry if this doesn't go here, but I don't know where else to post this.

You can:
1) hire a spriter(actually, paying him/her).
2) learn to sprite.

Thanks guys! maybe the problem with Guile's face is that I have not made him looking agressive enough. I'll give a later try :)!!

Also, saw new Sagat's look and it's awesome!!! It makes him looking enough different to Adon. And so, gave a try to it :D

Even I liked this serie since the begining, it just turned in an old cheapy mugen full of Orochi Mai, Dark Yuri, Evil Ryo, etc.

Yes, that was the second definition, but as I saw no sense on it(since the hair style does not vary), thought it was something different(given my bad aknowledgement of English :( ). Maybe is the "ponytail", which is pretty different between them two. Thanks for the replies, guys :)!

It seems her speed and strength changes when being in Orochi. I'm not aware of different moves, but as I'm determinated to add old moves, they could be implemented as Orochi Mode exclusive, kinda as some of JMorphman's Chunners when Shadow Lady. But the command for selecting her was pretty different, not in-game change but start+button. Maybe this is the best option :).

EDIT:

Some possibilities with the CS:

XIII, MI Alt, "classic", XIV. And second collumn would be its Orochi Mode colour(not that special)

Even I'm retouching is XIII conversion, I'll be adding classic stuff. She lost so many things in her transition to that game, so...guess it's the hard part(But I have a lot of fun with it, though :v):


(Last is a test with visible arms for showing the arm definition I'm adding).

I don't know about coding, so here's my question: is there any way to make Orochi Leona in the middle of the battle, or just Start+button, as so many exchars around Mugen? Thanks!!

Don't be angry about FF being in SF1 or Laura in SF3. Ono already said each SF happens in its universe, so let's open our mind to the SF MULTIVERSE XDDDD

No...as long as I know, is not reversed. I'm making the same I've always did while making my own palettes, but because of X reason, it gives me that problem. Tried to solve it with Photoshop and then with FF3 but can't go through the problem.

This is awesome. But you said a charcater can't have more of 16 colours(couting the transparency), so, what about the CSed characters? They have the same amount of colours of a stand, or even those which are shown in a palette template, so...why not possible?

Yes, I know I may sound pretty stupid at this point, but that cool Trunks disoriented me.
