There are a whole lot of Chiaotzu sprites here. Just thinking, is there anywhere near enough to have him expanded into his own character, kind of like Babidi? Maybe it could be another community project.

Pure grapplers tend to be worse, too, so Jiren's better off. :P

On the blocking thing, I feel that having him tank hits better matches with how he was portrayed in Super. Actually, if you wanted to throw in a cool reference, there was that scene where Goku cycles through his forms and Jiren very gradually ramps up his defense. First being passively shielded by his aura, then tanking the move, then blocking it, and finally actually bother to dodge.

So maybe you could have it so that he has a subdued animation where he tanks weaker moves and only has a second, more "proper" blocking animation for stronger ones. Of course, that would be more work to have more than one animation, assuming it can even be done (I don't know the limitations of MUGEN), so I'll just leave that idea on the table and not push it.

Am I wrong, or is this a combination of edited Goku Z2 and SSJ Goku Z2 sprites along with totally new ones? Kind of fits with Goku Black being an enemy who looks familiar but is actually totally different.

Excited to see how this turns out, and how you bring out the creepy and masochistic sides of the character.

It's a nice start, but it look a little barren somehow. It's still a city even if its destroyed, right? Maybe the buildings in the background should be a bit bigger so that they catch more attention.

If it turns out well, maybe you could have two variations. The dark sky one fits with the Goku Black future, but you can also have a daytime one like when we see the Androids future.

Loving the details on Chiaotzu, look at him running to the fallen Ten-san's aid.

First off, for the meter of his EMO mode, I would suggest making the meter one single eye. It'd stand out from the others more, methinks

Secondly, HOLY SHIT! IT'S BANE!!

They need to give Jiren the appropriate animations soon so that Tenshinhan can replicate this.

No? Look at the muscle definition on Vegeta and Freeza's legs, compared to Jiren. It's easiest to see there, but it's present throughout most of the sprite.

Edit: Just poked around with adding some extra muscle.

I didn't really notice it much in the teaser but yeah, the edit does look like a better fit.

Maybe the attack animations needs more anticipation/start up frames? Or a bit of overshoot, and snap back?

Could be, I don't have enough familiarity with animation to be able to visualize a fix. But if you look at the punch animation, it seems like Jiren's just stepping into the punching position. It feels wishy-washy; if it was a light attack or he wasn't trying then he wouldn't need to step out of his stance, if he was trying he'd be using his body to put more force behind the blow and not just get closer.

Putting it another way. When Jiren first starts off, he's proud of his strength and doesn't take opponents that seriously. He walks through or effortly blocks weaker attacks, and when he attacks he just plows through the opponent. Even if you look at the first reveal of Ultra Instinct, he doesn't bother taking a defensive stance when he's being attacked, he just moves his arms. Then later Vegeta and Goku and breaking their limits and the U7 team is ganging up on him, and he has to actually start putting in an effort.

The character can represent "both Jirens", but it might be better if individual animations feel like it comes from one stage of the fight or the other. That way the moves have the right personality, and you're thinking about where all of the force is coming out.

The baby Jiren in that DA is account is adorable, we need to see it used somehow. Excited to see some Super content.

I don't really see the softness thing, but I feel like the impact on his hits looked low. It might just be from how early the character is though.

Looking at the animations side by side, I think you might be following it too closely, and absorbing traits that don't really match up.

Silver Samurai's and shoulder guards and armour skirt aren't tightly connected. It's Japanese armour, so these parts might be made out of wood or a light metal, and they could be attached by cords. So they're kind of flopping around when he breathes.

Meanwhile, in Dragonball, the Saiyan armour seems like it's one solid piece made of rubber or a shape-memory polymer or something like that. It's solid and wants to retain its shape, but it bends if you force it to. So Raditz's armour should be mostly staying in the same shape unless he's lifting up his arms or legs and pushing against it.

As for whether it's the right animation or not for a Z2 Raditz , I can't say whether it can fits the Z2 style, but Raditz fights from a similar pose in Dragonball. Just standing straight with his arms and his sides and his legs evenly apart. The only time you see him in something like a fighting stance is after he attacks and doesn't return to his relaxed position right away.

I love what you did with the fingers. I'm not sure how to make the animation less wobbly - I don't know anything about animation - but maybe it might help if you concentrate on each part separately and see how it moves during the animation.

With the expanding chest, I think the main thing is that it looks like his pecs are expanding, which doesn't normally happen. It should just look like he's pushing his chest out.

Don't worry about it; your sprite is improving a lot with each pass. Of the two edits, I think the one on the left might be a little better because the leg is too defined on the right: it looks a bit like the parts of it aren't really attached.

Just reading Walruslui's comment about the shading and looking at your sprite, I think shading on the codepiece is still off. I messed around with the sprite a bit, dunno if any of them are better.

If sure thank you for mentioning the PNG but I think that this is not really the style, I made it rehice the face I do not know which is more similar to the real style, or why I should go, ie start the project with such sprite, of course also its proportions should be changed.

The new one looks a ton better! I'm not enough of an art guy to say if it matches the Z2 style, but it certainly looks good.

I wouldn't mind playing a Raditz based on this. Maybe make an animation or two and come back for more feedback.

I'm loving how Buu's moves don't just look weird, he's genuinely a confusing character. You guys did a great job capturing his spirit. Looking forward to getting in some versus with him.

By the way, I love how you've fanservice from the Final Bout intro too; the only good thing from that particular game.

I finished the 2nd version of Merged Zamasu.

Big changes:
1)I mixed a pose given to me by Yoshin and Freeza's FighterZ pose.
2)Rather than using simple colors somewhat similar to the anime's, I tried to use Balthazar's Goku Black sprite's palette for the black and grey parts of the clothes. I also used the palette from AlexSin's edit of Armentis' Zamasu as a starting point for the skin.

I'm still questioning how the body parts look (especially the face) and the quality of the shading, but the two main changes solve some of the problems that existed in the previous version.

Looks much better. It sounds like you recognize the issues, but I'll try to point out what I see anyway:

The shading still feels a little "MS Paint". I don't know how to describe it. I want to say pillow shading, but it's better than that usually is.
The boot looks good, but the legs are a little weird. I think they might be a little short, and I'm kind of confused as to how the legs are arranged. It kind of looks like both legs are shoved into one boot, or maybe that lower body is facing to the right while the upper body is  45 degree angle toward the viewer.
