I think one major problem with it is that the timing is not selling the weight very well like in the reference. Slowing down his steps in some frames would do wonders to help towards it, along with giving him more up and down movement. You can get away with moving his whole body up and down more, though you'd just need to readjust the posing of the legs to stay connected to the floor afterwards.



Also, made his belly bounce up when he steps up to give him a nicer sense of gravity.

Good to see Earthquake finally getting a run animation. Whenever I saw other people make him "run" in Mugen versions, they just made him roll continuously instead lol

That's a very good sprite, but I think the proportions are too wide for something CvS styled. The shading looks CvS-esque, yet the size and shape of the sprite resemble the Alpha games more.

Zangief is looking really good so far. Sakura is also looking pretty nice. Honestly nice that you decreased the amount of frames to some of her animations to make her animate more like the other 3rd Strike characters. I take it you're still gonna do that to the rest of her moves?

It's less that the gap was wide and more that her legs were suddenly very far apart, like her hips suddenly stretched horizontally by a lot.

Trying my hand at Garou to KOF Conversion, Don't know if anyone has to tried to do it with these 2 but I wanted to give it my best shot :)





Like Squidly mentioned, Kolossoni did make them both for Mugen, though the fluidity of the Garou animation is lost on both of them. What you did here is perfect and really does them both justice, it's something I've been hoping to see so badly, honestly!

Zangief looks pretty much spot on, it's crazy how good he looks

Also, watching the Sakura video, I think she's really well animated, although I suggest cutting down on some frames for certain animations. Right now she feels like she's more animated than most SF3 characters at the moment, so it could help finding the right balance of smoothness in her frame count.

I can't help but feel that maybe... Sakura's sprites feel a bit too big, when placed next to other characters. I do feel you should maybe scale her down a little.



...also, please, consider toning down the floatiness of her skirt. Damn thing flows more than a curtain on a windy day, it looks so silly. I get that panty shots are your thing, but when you insert them into almost every animation, it just feels way on your face and forced upon the viewer. Really, you should try to stay a bit more close to what Capcom did, in which the skirt flows upon jumping, but the fabric of the skirt still feels just a bit heavy enough to not fly all over the palce.

Those are pretty close to how KOF portraits are drawn. Though you should avoid this banding effect in the shading, it ruins the shading a good bit.

I commented this on your video already, but figured I'd just share my thoughts on here as well. Dante is looking incredible, good job on him. Although the AI art "enhancement" for the portraits is severely questionable. Especially because of what it did to Goku's face, it's really creepy:



I feel like your older art would've fit in just fine if not better, with the right adjustments. The whole AI aesthetic here just takes away any semblance of style in here for me.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not a fan of this at all. Even ignoring the moral implications surrounding certain AI art models nowadays, the AI enhancements here only feel somewhat "pretty" on a very surface level. Not only does the "Shinkiro" generation doesn't really feel like his style at all, but the AI added a bunch of random details, like an extra joint for her pinky, a weird extra crotch line, an extra disconnected zipper, and metallic nothing parts attached to her fur coat for some reason.



And even ignoring the small detail stuff, I just feel a huge dislike on the first example you posted there. Her face genuinely looked much cooler in your own made line art, but the AI conversion just... sort of turned it into every generic AI anime girl look out there. The style feels way more generic as a result, and it's just harder for me to appreciate it.

Really, I already admired your coloring style before. Illustrations like this were genuinely great looking. Resorting to using AI just takes the whole style you have away, and just feels like a downgrade of your work.
