he shouldve been in the background dying in the Bison Stage.

like battleborn did?
Play Battleborn with us and you'll see its a far greater game qualitywise in almost everyway. MvcInfinite is even worse and it didn't deserve to go dead, we still have players.  I'm sure you included Oro in your MvC game hahaha
Just like nobody plays Mugen,.. Anyway that couldve been Gen or even Adon instead of Oro.

Big words from the game that is getting shutdown next year isn't it

So a quick bump to say a couple things:

No the project is not dead, the thing is finding time for it when I'm in college and also when I'm practicing digital and improving anatomy skills, among other things, is really tricky...

Second I've decided to only make her SF4 moveset for the sake of simplicity (normals will still be based off of SFV though, only exceptions being proximity normals as they arent in SFV, and maybe one or two other normal attacks here and there). I'm considering making her SFV moveset but only really after completing this sprite set.

Man, that sprites looks godlike.. Sorry for asking that, but are these effects close-sourced?

Thx!

The effects were directly taken from footage of the game, then some image tricks were done to make them look like this and it took about 30 minutes to complete each of those.

So I haven't posted in here for over a year, not to get too much into it but due to irl things that I had to work out it it wasn't until the end of the last semester that I could get back on track. I also haven't been posting much on mfg even after all that stuff because I went to the Discord server and havent really checked here as much as I used to.

Also as of a couple months ago, I made a twitter account! So if you're interested in following my works there here is the link: https://twitter.com/Relusion3

So with that out of the way, here is progress so far on the Juri sprites:

Forward walk:

Standing normals (LP, LK, MP, MK, HP respectively):

Special effects (from SFV):

Obviously some cleaning will be needed in those, especially LK store release, the second Pinwheel and Super.

Also to keep up a more steady progress, I've decided to first flatshade all the frames of the animation, then move on to something else and do the same... Idk at what point I'll get to do a complete shade on all the animations, but doing this way feels much faster and less tiring than the way I used to do before which was to complete every frame of an animation first.

I'm thinking of making other basic movement sprites after I finish her SFV standing normals (only standing HK is left so it will likely be soon), then maybe move on to get hits I guess heh :megusta:

I don’t like Fortnite at all, I can kinda see the appeal (multiplayer game, shooting at a bunch of people, fast matchmaking, building stuff, etc) but personally I’m not a fan of how the gameplay is designed. Tried it out a couple months ago and it felt too slow and clunky, not a fan of how the overall combat is handled, the building mechanic is cool in concept but it doesnt do much to keep me engaged. Havent played since and frankly even though the concept seems cool it’s just not worth playing it to me, there are many other games that I would rather play than this one. There is also another side to this where it seems like development for that new Unreal Tournament game has been put on hold because of Fortnite, which just feels quite annoying.

Tbf though the battle royale genre just might not be for me, I guess the whole concept of it in terms of how it plays just doesn’t click with me.

MCU movies in general lose their quality after a second viewing, even the greater ones. Especially in terms of comedy, watching the more comedic movies of the MCU a second time and it just seems to lose its touch by a lot, I was surprised to watch Thor Ragnarok again at home, which is movie I really liked at theaters, and see that its humor doesnt seem nearly as good as it was the first time. The only movies imho that can be viewed more than once and still maintain its quality are Winter Soldier, Civil War and Infinity War.

Ant Man 1 and 2 are kind of a chore to watch, the humor feels forced at times and some jokes feel kinda cringy. An argument its used quite often is “its just a smaller scale movie supposed to be disposable fun it shouldnt be criticized much”, but it just seems kinda lazy and its almost like Marvel is kinda banking on that to keep these movies made the way they are. The second movie while I enjoyed it a bit more than the first, it lost things in other areas (mainly the plot structure, but I wont delve into spoilers). Whenever I think of these movies I just wish Edgar Wright directed them like he was supposed to, but as you know “creative differences” /shrug.

Black Panther was ok but it was a dissapointment to me from the action choreography aspect, as far as the fight scenes go and it made what could be a 9/10 action film all the way down to a 6/10 to me. The whole premise of the movie and the character of Black Panter really gave me high hopes of seeing great fight scenes all around, it was directed by Ryan Coogler who knows how to film fight scenes (Creed) and it even had Michael B Jordan in it, unfortunately though the fight scenes were all quite shaky and cut a little too fast. When you contrast that with the bigger action setpieces which are usually CGI, it becomes so jarring how those are filmed in such a smooth way and have long takes, but the fight scenes are the opposite of that.

Upgrade

Been meaning to watch this movie for a while, its about a guy who gets an implant that upgrades (heh) him, and then goes on a revenge path. While the plot is something we've seen many times, the movie does a good job at making you care about the main character which is what it needed to elevate the movie's quality, and this was done very well.

Where this movie really excels at is its action scenes and Logan Marshall Green pulling off a great performance, Leigh Whannel directed the action surprisingly good considering he's never done action movies before. Not only are they easy to follow, the way he filmed the fight scenes were quite unique and kept me engaged to see more, and it was a treat from beginning to end. The movie also has some good comedic timing which was a nice touch.

Really surprisingly good movie, I know it seems like I have nothing but praise for the movie but it was just so enjoyable to watch from beginning to end. Only flaws to me would be a couple things towards the end but even then they arent too much of a problem.

8/10

A PTR patch just got released and it includes some pretty interesting changes, highlights are the Hanzo rework and a new payload map (Rialto)! Other changes include Genji, Junkrat, Lucio and Tracer.

Quote
A new Overwatch patch is currently in development and now available for testing. To share your feedback or report and issue, please post in the PTR Feedback 50 or PTR Bug Report 13 forums.

Please note that the below patch notes only include changes currently available for testing on the PTR. While many of these changes will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in a future patch, the PTR is PC-only and therefore will only reflect changes coming specifically to that platform.

PATCH HIGHLIGHTS

New Escort Map: Rialto

Rialto was home to Talon agent Antonio Bartalotti’s sprawling estate and the backdrop to the infamous “Venice Incident,” a turning point for Overwatch and Talon. The Italian government has taken great steps to preserve Venice, and the results are striking. Tourists visiting this picturesque town can sample the regional cuisine, enjoy a relaxing gondola ride, visit Galleria D’arte Omnica, or simply take in the sights with a stroll along the canal.

HERO UPDATES

Genji

Deflect

    Hitbox size has been reduced

Developer Comments: The hitbox on Genji’s Deflect was big enough that it would sometimes reflect projectiles that were pretty far away from him. We’ve tightened up the hitbox, which should solve this problem while still fully protecting him from projectiles that would hit him from the front.

Hanzo

Storm Bow

Projectile speed increased from 85 to 100

Sonic Arrow

Cooldown decreased from 20 seconds to 12 seconds

Duration decreased from 10 seconds to 6 seconds

Radius decreased from 10 meters to 7 meters

New Abilities

Lunge

Press jump while in the air to leap horizontally

Storm Arrows

Replaces his existing Scatter Arrow ability

Hanzo can now rapidly fire up to 6 arrows that deal reduced damage but are always fired at full power

Developer Comments: The goal of these Hanzo changes is to allow him to have new options and maintain his high damage output, while removing the frustration of fighting against the old Scatter Arrow. Hanzo is now much more mobile with his new Lunge ability, and with the combination of the bow projectile speed increase and the new Storm Arrows ability he can now deal his high damage more consistently than ever before.

Junkrat

Frag Launcher

Projectile size decreased from 0.3 to 0.2

RIP-Tire

Tire movement speed decreased from 13 to 12

Developer Comments: These changes are aimed at lowering some of the most frustrating parts about playing against Junkrat. Decreasing the Frag Launcher’s projectile size means he will have to aim a bit more carefully to land powerful direct hits and slowing the RIP-Tire’s movement speed gives his opponents slightly more time to destroy it before it detonates.

Lúcio

Wall Ride

Wall riding is less likely to be interrupted along a single surface

Can now go around corners (both outside corners, and inside corners) without having to leave the wall

Can now land back on the same wall after leaping away, provided his leap takes him far enough away from the original jumping off point.

Soundwave

    No longer consumes ammo

Developer Comments: Wall Ride has been significantly overhauled to allow it to function more smoothly across more areas of every map. Lúcio players should instantly notice a huge improvement in where and how Wall Ride can be used. In addition, Sonic Amplifier’s Soundwave ability was unnecessarily controlled by both a cooldown and an ammo cost, so we’re removing the ammo cost.

Tracer

Pulse Bomb

Max damage decreased from 400 to 300

Developer Comments: Pulse Bomb was too good at killing tanks, who can be easy to stick due to their size. This damage reduction makes it less powerful as a tank-destroyer, while keeping it lethal against most other heroes.

GAME BROWSER AND CUSTOM GAMES

General

Mercy’s Regeneration (passive ability) can now be turned off in Custom Game settings

Settings for Hanzo’s Lunge and Storm Arrow abilities can now be found in the Custom Game settings

New event and stage have been announced, it's "Blackwatch Retribution" where you get to play 4 characters (McCree, Reaper, Moira, Genji) and on a mission on Venice going up against Talon. You're also gonna be able to play the Uprising mode from last year, and IINM you'll be able to play as Omnics in it too.

Also new comic released which is the Blackwatch Retribution:

Brigitte has been released, and oh boy is she something else, coming from someone who mains tanks and support she just feels great to play as :D

Along with that the Sombra nerf also made it in, it's the one where if she gets interrupted while channeling hack, the ability will go on a short 2 second cooldown. Reasonable nerf with how good she is now but it won't actually hurt much as some may think.

Also apparently they are looking to buff Reaper and Mei some more, they said they would "help in this meta" which I suppose is more options against all the diving.

I didn't even realize until today that the patch with the Sombra, Mei and Doomfist changes went live until I played Sombra. I really couldn't play the game during the week due to irl stuff anyways. Well regardless Sombra feels a lot like what I wanted her to be and it's great.

Speaking of balance changes, seems like Brigitte has been nerfed already (she did get one good buff however), in quite some ways:

Quote
HERO UPDATES

Brigitte

Shield Bash

Added a small delay before her shield drops after a Shield Bash
Added a vertical speed cap after Shield Bash
Please note that we are still tuning this value

Rocket Flail

Canceling a melee swing renders you unable to melee again until it would have completed had it not been canceled

Rally

    Ultimate cost increased by ~30%

Inspire

Decreased cooldown from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds

USER INTERFACE UPDATES

The Team Information Screen now displays the ultimate charge of your teammates

BUG FIXES

Heroes

Fixed a bug that prevented Doomfist’s Rocket Punch from traveling forward if he had been hit by an enemy Doomfist’s Rocket Uppercut
Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented players from aiming Doomfist’s Rocket Punch when facing an enemy
Fixed an issue that allowed players to jump over Doomfist’s Rocket Punch when on an incline
Fixed a bug that caused Doomfist’s Seismic Slam to cancel if he wasn’t able to get close to his target
Fixed a bug that caused Mercy’s health regeneration to occur instantly if she took damage while at full health
Fixed a bug that prevented Moira’s Biotic Orb from receiving kill credit if it expired at the same time it killed an enemy
Fixed a bug that prevented Reinhardt’s Charge from pinning enemies

Eh I guess all of these are ok, shield bash combo was way too fast for the damage it does and the melee thing is on par with just how things work across the cast. Ultimate cost being increased is probably because of the passive cooldown being reduced, along with other things.

The Endless is confirmed to have a release date on March 23rd.

You likely don't know what this movie even is, but it comes from Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead who made the movie Spring (2014) which received tons of praise. You may have not heard of Spring either, but it's a great film regardless (that I'd recommend anyone to watch it, it's one of my favorite movies).

The Endless also has a 100% on RT right now, it may only be 19 reviews so far but it's likely an indication that the movie will be great, I personally can't wait (hopefully it gets an international release, I hope!).

So a couple Brigitte things from few a couple minutes of testing:

-200 health plus 50 armor
-"Primary fire" range is around 5m to 6m or so, damage seems to be around 35
-600 hp for the shield and unlike Reinhardt's it doesn't seem to slow her down, the Shield Bash ability has quite a short range but the hitbox is good
-Whip Shot heals her over time, 80 hp I think
-Repair pack heals a lot over time and it's fast, looks to be 150hp. Can't be used on herself however.
-More or less 2400 points of meter seems to be the amount for her ult to be available (for reference for support characters, she has the second longest one only beaten by Lucio who needs 2625 points of meter)
-Maximum armor provided by the ult is 150, and it can stack with the Repair pack too, making it go the maximum amount of armor go up to 225.

I'm really digging how she plays, I usually play tanks and support so it's right up my alley to have a tank support.

Brigitte is now on PTR, she is a support but her focus is more on providing armors than heals it seems, it's kinda like how Zen is more about providing damage than healing.

Breakdown of her abilities:

Quote
Role: Support
Difficulty: 1 star

Brigitte specializes in armor. She can throw Repair Packs to heal teammates, or automatically heal nearby allies when she damages foes with her Flail. Her Flail is capable of a wide swing to strike multiple targets, or a Whip Shot that stuns an enemy at range. When entering the fray, Barrier Shield provides personal defense while she attacks enemies with Shield Bash. Brigitte’s ultimate ability, Rally, gives her a substantial short-term boost of speed and provides long-lasting armor to all her nearby allies.

Abilities

Rocket Flail
-Brigitte's melee weapon has an extended range, enabling her to strike multiple enemies with a single swing.

Repair Pack
-Brigitte throws a Repair Pack that can heal an ally. Any healing over that ally’s maximum health provides them with armor instead.

Whip Shot
-Brigitte throws her flail a long distance, dealing damage and knocking an enemy away from her.

Barrier Shield
-Brigitte deploys a frontal energy barrier to absorb a limited amount of damage.

Shield Bash
-Once her Barrier Shield is deployed, Brigitte can dash forward to stun an enemy.

Rally
-Brigitte moves faster and provides all nearby allies with armor that lasts until it’s removed by damage.

She reminds me a bit of Uther in Heroes of the Storm in a way (has stun, gives armor and is tank-ish), I'm intrigued to see the whole armor stuff in action.

There was a clarification regarding Sombra's Opportunist passive. It wasn't changed, they simply added the ability for Sombra to see enemy heath bars if they took any damage.

That makes a lot more sense, I was wondering why in Death Match I wasn't seeing anyone through walls that  took a smidge of damage.

In a way It would be worse for her passive to be that way because then we'd have no idea if that McCree hiding in the corner would be at 50% health or below, and that would be misleading for the Sombra player looking for picks, on the other hand however it would probably be OP if she was played in a pre made team, so it's a good thing it wasn't changed that way.

PTR received an update, this time it's for Sombra (the changes that were previously mentioned), Mei, Doomfist. Hanzo is also mentioned but for now his changes are not in.

Quote
Mei

Increasing freeze duration from 1 second to 1.5s
Decreasing ammo requirement for icicles from 25 to 20 per shot

Sombra

Translocator time increased from 15 seconds to 20 seconds
Health packs no longer increase ult charge
Speed of hack reduced from 0.8s to 0.65s
Spread on main gun reduced from 3 to 2.7

Hack now disables the following abilities:
        Genji—Cyber-agility
        Hanzo—Wall Climb
        Pharah—Hover Jets
Lúcio—Healing Boost and Speed Boost (turns off current song entirely), Wall Ride
        Mercy—Angelic Descent

Opportunist (wallhacks on low health targets)
Now activates when enemies’ health bars are at less than 100%, up from 50% health

EMP is no longer blocked by small objects (e.g. sign posts)

Hanzo

Changes not yet on PTR but should be coming soon:

Horizontal leap to be used more for disengaging than engaging
Secondary ability replacing scatter arrow that allows you to shoot 5 arrows at a much faster fire rate, no mention on whether or not these are full damage arrows or not.

Doomfist

Hand Cannon ammo recovery rate increased from 0.8 seconds to 0.65 seconds per bullet

It seems like some Sombra changes in PTR accidentally made it to live (EDIT: They've been taken out of live for now, though the emp nerf is still which is weird), and the changes are huge:

Quote
A few changes that are being worked on accidentally found their way into the most recent patch. This is unintentional and we're working on removing these.

We're planning on putting up a new PTR soon that has these changes (and more), so consider this a sneak peak.

Here are the complete changes (so far) for Sombra that we are looking to test out soon:

* No longer gains ult from health pack healing
* Weapon Spread decreased by 10%
* Hacking speed increased from 0.8s to 0.65s
* Hacking will disable more abilities. Basically any ability that requires a button press will also be disabled. Here is a list:

Genji - Double Jump/Wall Climb
Pharah - Hover Jets
Hanzo - Wall Climb
Lucio - currently running Crossfade song will be disabled
Mercy - Angelic Descent

The idea here is to take some power out of her ult (and awkwardness of ult gain through health packs), and give her more power and usefulness in the rest of her kit.

Well goddamn I wasn't expecting this but I'm trying it out and I'm enjoying it so far, she has been a main of mine for quite a long time and one of the things I feel like is a hassle is that she is too reliant on hacked healthpacks and her ultimate and her gun wasn't good enough overall, along with hacking being pretty intricate. It seems like they did the right thing here imo, made her have a more balanced kit overall I think she will be more fun and reliable to play now.

There were a couple buffs to Doomfist and Reaper as well:

https://playoverwatch.com/en-gb/game/patch-notes/pc#patch-43435

Also, Mei's icicles consume less ammo (20 instead of 25)
