Hey guys, so after many years I am back here to release a new stage like old times.
It's not perfect by any means but it looks much cooler than my old style of stages.
Not sure if any of you remember my old stages though, so if I am new to you then, hello friends.

Some things to note:
- Not animated.
- Made with the stage tool (I suck at MUGEN tbh)
- Mainly I make stages to show the image I created in a playable stage form for fun.

So guys, I wanna announce that I am now in development of a fanmade VS game!
The game itself COULD potentially be considered a MUGEN type concept without the actual MUGEN engine being used as a software.

The game will feature pretty much all the characters from street fighter and darkstalkers that I can possibly muster!
SF vs DS has been a game I've wanted to see happen for a long time now and not just in MUGEN but in a full developed game using another engine!

Welp since I finally am back into my old MUGEN playing self, and I recently learned Unity3D... I thought hey the heck with it my first game will be a fangame that I've wanted to see for years now. Anyhow here is a simple screenshot of ryu's development that has finally begun! His sprites are HD made using his CVS sprites plus a AI upscaler called ESRGAN. Which is not your typical emulator filter AT ALL! Quite the contrary. It legit is a AI super-resolution tool with models for legit almost any kind of image including pixel art! the model I'm using takes character sprites and legit makes the look nearly hand drawn! The process of editing the sprites takes maybe a day per character for me on my new PC! But developing the game itself will take a while. Anyhow enough of my nerd rant, lets take a breif summary of my initial roster goals shall we:

Vega/Bison

DS Side:
Morrigan
Bulleta/BB Hood
Demitri
Felicia

WOW O_O been a long time since i posted anything Dx welp these sprites are gonna be used in a wip char i am making XD so i thought i might share them here... i ripped them from the tribute edition of fighting is magic :) it was easy since there was a auto-ripping tool for games made in the engine but i did index them as a pcx (the tool makes png in rgb :/ wtf man) i hope you all enjoy it >_< - https://www.mediafire.com/?ivtjfxit4g7jq8c

note this is here because im NOT using mugen to develop this chars... im making a full game for a fan series of dragonball im doing with my friend...
seeing as im using 2d fighter maker i put it here not in other sections  ::) anyhow to da point... Dragon Ball Ex/X is my biggest obligation to anyone
and i must see it throught o the end but my friend wants a fighting game to go with it and i dont want to use mugen... but currently i have not enough experience or time to sprite chars for him  :'( so im asking the wonderfull community to help me out... it will be fine to have multiple art styles cuz it
is a big enough project that ill need to have more than one spriter most likely  --; if you want to be a big help and sprite one char or even more
id be much obliged   :blush: the series consists of all the z fighters and a good amout of oc chars however not ALL will make it in to da game  ::)
pm me to know more about the series or the oc chars  :wink2: if you want in i would like you to start by spriting the oc chars: Ren and Dragos!
you can learn the basic design on the dbx webpage... or get specifics from me directly through pm  8) dragos uses pretty much everone elses
moves (goku vegeta piccolo etc) and is pretty cocky and full of it... FRIGIN POWERFUL AS WELL... ren on the otherhand uses a weird power of ki
compression into energy knives or a sword that can cut powerfully through even a high power kamehameha... more details ONLY through pm
i dont want to give my show away completely  :cool4: anyhow please join me in spriting for my game... ill love you forever if you do help me  :deal2:

it looks like you ran a filter off of an emulator and called it a day

no godamnit i traced it by hannnndddd.... i dont even have the game on a friggin emulator the image i traced was a spriterip by someone on DA
seriously I-TRACED-DA-IMAGE-MYSELF i mean it stop telling me wut i did YOU ARE NOT ME DAMNIT... how would you feel if people say ur not good enough to have done wut a filter can do by hand so thus must be lying and FYI a filter on emulators looks shit ive used em on games i would know so DONT ANYONE EVEN CONTINUE THIS DEBATE WITH ME IVE HAD E-FKN-NUFF good day

and yes i am not great at adding great detail when i do art in vector so you are right that it lost some details n stuff

Please don't say you drew that.  I could draw something like that in a similar style, but I wouldn't be able to match up every stone on the ground.  You used some sort of program to smooth the edges.

you are half right i did not do this free hand but i did it by tracing the original stage and smudging the detail so it is not filters but is not freehand art

How am I half right?  Can you half go over the speed limit?  Either you are, or you aren't.  You didn't trace the stage, a program you downloaded traced and smudged the stage.  You did nothing but click a few buttons.  What you did was the exact same thing a filter would have done.  So, you did use a filter.

nope i traced it myself from scratch... you are half right cuz i did not draw without tracing there is a difference between tracing and drawing and i traced no draw freehand so stop telling me wut i did cuz you did not make it and thus are making assumptions so good day

Come on, let's drop the Filter/Vector/Tracing subject.

Whatever method you used, but to me it lost details like: the moon light rays, the bats, the skulls.

You'd better change the title of the topic, because HD means High Definition (a lot of details), you could call this HR (High Resolution).

yes lets drop it damn it (dat means u typhoon) i traced it by hand and were clear done bye bye see ya later

Alright. Fair enough. I said what I did because the Paint Daub tool/filter produces the same exact result that you spent time on. That's all. :P

Go for more detail as already mentioned. If you could draw, infuse some originality or something!! It'd be great to see updates on Darkstalkers stages like with how Capcom did SF2HD. That'd be fucking epic!!

its no problem i can totally understand why you thought it was filters  ;) cuz yeah i've even seen very similar results from filters but i was just explaining what i actually did and that i dint use a filter but yeah i do need to work on it some more  ::) but im flat out not fixing this today  :wiseguy: soon tho :P

actually not filters :P i redraw the stage itself like all my others... but i did use the orig as a reference

Seems a bit contradictory

erm how? i said i redraw or more acurately trace it... the orig was wut i traced but i didnt just add a filter to an image... i did this manually... but as said before not done on paper so much as digital drawing tools  -_- anyhow plz people stop telling me how i did this cuz you werent there   --;

It still looks as if you used cutout and/or paint daubs tool in Photoshop while utilizing separate layers. If you actually drew this, I'd love to see your material that you scanned in.

If you didn't draw this, don't proclaim that you did. It's like saying I redrew all of the portriats I made by hand when all I really did was edit them thoroughly in Photoshop.

i drew it digitally by tracing the original on my art tools and then adding color and replicating detail in fact i dont even have photoshop i have gimp :P aslo i used neither photoshop or gimp for this in fact this stage is a ONE LAYER IMAGE... i turned the one image vector i created of my traced/hd recreated image into a stage that ONLY has one layer... dat image is exactly what da stage is made up of... fact the original image i traced was one layer :P so i drew it by tracing just not on PAPER but on a digital canvas my friend... i NEVER said anything about paper... plus photoshoping is art but only is is good art if ya know wut ur doin
like for instance you can freehand draw in photoshop and it is no less drawing than paper but i did this digitally with THE HELP of the original image to help me
what i did was trace JUST the outline digitally and THEN i added color deatail and all dat jazz... so is more than a filter cutout daub is a digital tracing dat i made
