Well it only took me 4 years but I finally finished this darn thing. It might be a bit rough around the edges but I'm confident it's up to a good standard. Feedback is appreciated. Enjoy.

FAQ From the ReadMe:

Q: Who is this character?
A: She is the fighter Class from Dungeon Fighter Online (AKA Dungeon & Fighter)

Q: What should I expect from this character?
A: Gameplay similar to the King Of Fighters series with some mechanics from other series thrown in. There are 4 modes which change what Special and Super moves you can do and also have some minor effect on some basic attacks. Combo-ing is quite lenient, I encourage you to experiment.

Q: Can I use code from this character?
A: Yes you can. Feel free to poke around and use whatever you want. If you could credit me in your works that use my code as well that'd be appreciated.

I'm glad to hear this because currently there are a lot of characters who can't combo into any of their supers to get much damage. Right now I feel like Ryo, Robert, Mr. Karate, Angel and especially Chizuru put the rest of the cast to shame when it comes to combo versatility.  Lee, K', Elizabeth, Saisyu and Andy are pretty good too in this regard.  It wouldn't take too much to get some other characters up to the level. If Terry could cancel into fire kick like other specials and then combo it into power geyser and not just buster wolf he'd more or less be there IMO. Oswald's options are limited. He can land straight after ace in the corner but that's about it and the timing is very strict.

Also I found Tung has a 100% in the corner today.  His unique chain into thousand kicks 3 times, kind of like the one Athena used to have.

I was able to trigger the glitch with angel and this seems to be a random chance.
Also, a similar glitch also happen when doing her QCB+X where at random chance, she stuck at a loop until you hit her!

That is literally the same bug I was on about. Comforting, I suppose, to know that someone else also found it.

Did the Angel bug happen when you played as her or when the computer was using her?

It happened while I was in training mode with her, I've been able to recreate it once while mashing buttons during the move. I'll try and record it at some point down the line.

Here's a video of some stuff I've found while messing around.



A few other notes:
 - Tagging is WAY too safe to be balanced. In addition, you can attempt to tag while the character you'd tag into is KO'd. If the KO'd character is on the other side of the opponent, it can cause the tagging character to tag out from one side and then tag in on the other.
 - Angel has a bug that causes her to repeatedly do her qcb+x until she is hit out of it. I haven't found the exact cause yet.
 - Rock's double reppuken has less projectile durability than Geese's. They should cancel each other out but Geese's will keep going.
 - My name is misspelt as "Zephhry" in the credits.

If I find more stuff I'll post it.

Hey there, it's been a while since I've commented here. Congratulations on 8 years, it's weird to think I've been paying attention to this project for that long :P.  Good luck with the last stretch, I look forward to the finished product. In the mean time I made this small collection of things you may want to have a look at in 0.95.



 You might have fixed most of them already but I felt that they needed to be seen for at the very least clarification's sake.

Bump.

It's been a slow week, I've finished 4 specials for striker mode and 1 each for streetfighter and grappler. I've also had a chance to play the DFO open beta to get an idea of how the fighter works in source and it's very different from my interpretation from the sprites. For one thing I got the signature poses for striker and streetfighter modes mixed up. This probably works out for the better though.

I don't really want to place plea for help but for the sake of being in a position to accept it: If anyone else feels like contributing to this I have one favour to ask. Download the old version (thats the first one linked in the OP) and give me an opinion on if there's any special moves worth keeping from it. Thank you.

So 3 years ago I started making a fighter with SYD's  sff.

Sadly this project feel victim to indefinite procrastination. Also sadly it wasn't great, I'm not proud of it. Recently I opted to have another stab at it. I've taken the old character and stripped it down to the basics, rebuilding it with a lot more polish. So far only basic attacks are done but gameplay in general is a lot more coherent now.

It's been a while since I did anything in Mugen. Mind I never released anything besides edits and my one from-scratch project fell victim to procrastination. I did however recently recover it and may continue it or at the very least package it into a state fit for release. In the mean time I made this.

This is the result of a little animation idea I had for a projectile attack. I originally envisioned it on a palette-swap self-insert. I believe I mentioned it to MightyKombat at some point if memory serves. After coding the projectile I ended up tweaking loads of little things and then I had the idea to replace Rock's voice with Ezreal's from League Of Legends.

Aside from the obvious aesthetical differences, he's still essentially Jin's Rock Howard but with things switched around a bit. Enjoy.

Just finished an arcade run with Raiden. Goenitz was total hell, you did a great job mimicing his difficulty for '96 but there's a few things off with him from what I can tell. You can't roll through his wind pillars which I'd imagine you should be able to roll though given they're projectiles, and you can't use Raiden's shoulder charge either as they seemingly bypass it's armour frames. B. Jenet's projectile snuffs out armour as well because it continues after it hits times. Yamazaki, or anyone with a relector for that matter (presumably, I've only tried with Yamazaki) can't reflect her projectile for this reason too. Also most, if not all, of the characters with projectiles have manipulatable AI. I used Raiden's breath attack at mid-range on wakeup repeatedly on many characters.

The arcade mode is pretty well paced overall I'd say though I expected Zero or Orochi at the end. I was pleasently surprised to see my name in the credits too.

I'll get back to you with more stuff as I find it.
