Sean Spicer has resigned as White House Press Secretary.

The move came just moments after President Trump offered New York financier Anthony Scaramucci the job of communications director.

Spicer is vacating his position just six months and one day after he first stood at the podium and made his controversial remarks about the size of President Trump's inauguration crowd.

G1 Bumblebee voice actor Dan Gilvezan has reported on Facebook that Wally Burr, the voice director for the original The Transformers animated series, has died at the age of 91. Burr was well-known as a director who knew exactly what he wanted, leading to friction among those he directed at times. THE HAGUE:  A car ploughed into a crowd outside Amsterdam central station late Saturday, injuring eight people -- two of them seriously, Dutch police said, adding it appeared to have been an accident.

"The suspect has been interviewed, and it appears not to have been intentional. But we are investigating further," Amsterdam police said on their Twitter account.

Eight people had been hurt, "two of them seriously," the police said in a tweet, adding the driver was under arrest after his car hit the crowd and then crashed into a wall.

The news came a week after three attackers in a van mowed down pedestrians in London before going on a stabbing spree, killing eight people and injuring 48.

Dutch media reported the Amsterdam incident happened when police approached a black Peugeot which was badly parked, and the driver tried to speed away.

Several ambulances and police were swiftly on the scene on the busy streets outside the station in the heart of the canal-lined Dutch capital. Two people were taken to hospital. The other injured were treated at the scene.

Adam West, the ardent actor who managed to keep his tongue in cheek while wearing the iconic cowl of the Caped Crusader on the classic 1960s series Batman, has died. He was 88.

West, who was at the pinnacle of pop culture after Batman debuted in January 1966, only to see his career fall victim to typecasting after the ABC show flamed out, died Friday night in Los Angeles after a short battle with leukemia, a family spokesperson said.

West died peacefully surrounded by his family and is survived by his wife Marcelle, six children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

“Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans' lives. He was and always will be our hero,” his family said in a statement.
