Wow, this is really gold, I just saw portraits and that makes me thing that in a point Re-Verse and Otoma=Raga might become playable as their select portraits are in there.

That can only be possible by doing a "Press any button" sprite to the logo/start screen' SFF. For three moment that's the only way to do it.

My only tip is you add the next sentences for said cutscene code:

trigger1 = ishometeam && matchno = Current match
facing = ifelse((teamside=2), -1, 1)

As for player, you'd set a helper on the common.cns or default CNS.

It might be like this

God, I'm a little bit rusty on triggers, but it can be like this:

[State h]
type = Explod
trigger1 = movehit
anim = (number of the blood animation on the .air file)
ID = (same as anim)
pos = (try to copy the hitspark.pos of the HitDef where the spark locates)
sprpriority = 2
persistent = 1
ownpal = 0

And the same for the particles. In the trigger, instead of "movehit" set it to "moveguarded"

I hope this can help to solve your question.
