*Dig Dug By XCB - Like Old School Mario, Dig Dug Dies when Hit. His Pumping Attack was Pretty Cheep than usual. He cannot even jump or crouch. He only has 3 Lives. The Altered Beast New Life Spawning can also hit the opponent by rising casket.
I can't believe a joke character has cheap attacks

So here it is, the first open alpha of the game. The reason I didn't put this anywhere else is because it's not technically a release. That being said I encourage all of you to try it out. Any and all discussion or feedback can be placed here. Especially bugs.  I encourage you to go to training mode and take full advantage of it's features.

F.A.Q.

Q. How do I perform an omega super?
A. it's 3 buttons pressed together, the super command (Z+C) as well as HP or HK so Z+C+(B/Y). You need an omega factor and full health or both flashing health an omega factor.

Q. I've seen Despero combo his air grab, how do I do that?
A. Only the omega variant can combo juggled opponents.

Q. The game is a bit difficult on arcade mode, what can I do about that?
A. By default the game is on the hardest setting, turn it down to your liking. The reason for this is the hardest AI gives you an idea of how a character works in this game but I can understand how much of a problem they can be for people starting out.

Q. How does juggles work?
A. By default any move that knocks down allows two additional hits as juggles no matter what. If that move knocks the opponent down and hits them 2 other times then you cannot follow it up with anything other than omega specials.

So like most of the JL characters she's been almost redone entirely. Although the only thing that was changed was rolling claw turning into a bootleg rolling buckler lol.

He's got quite a few nerfs but a lot of new things to compensate. For example. only the omega aqua shock has similar frame advantage that the old ones had while the others have gained much needed recovery to them. The new shark dive has a very devious angle as well.

i only use aggro. and as far as his cmd grab goes I usually run up and do it if I conditioned them to expect pokes constantly. or I set it up on their wake up if they think I'm going to do something like an overhead so they sit still blocking. everynow and then I throw in a dp to catch them trying to jump out. It's pretty silly. Also I was wrong I'm actually at 107-18 now that I got home to see it. Most of my matches came from replaying people who wanted to. i have my settings on 3 bar with no check on region and I have rarely gotten anyone who wasnt from usa.

Funny you say that cause allen is considered best in the game currently. As an allen main I can tell you why, his normals not being anti airs arent an issue when his srk does a better job or the fact he can blow up bad jump ins with a whole command grab lol. The normals he does have are very effective pokes s.mk especially. His damage is explosive and hes a better shoto than kairi. I'm currently sitting at 117-21. Warranted I've been using him since ex 1 so everything felt extremely familiar from the jump. The only real gripe I have with him is justice fist has an even slower recovery than before and with quick rise you always have to super cancel it but even that is a small con compared to the big damage it has. Playing him like a shotoclone is actually the worst way to use him tbh.

The running system was put in recently and it shows how little testing it probably had. It's pretty much how all infinites are possible currently but the goal of this beta was to test their netcode. I have no idea whats going on with allens voice either rofl

His movepool appears small but he's pretty technical given that he can freely switch between the two. However he can't infinite with ice arrows. It defaults to fire if you try to. But I know you all wouldn't cause you're not scumbags...right?

So I will be showing this game off at MAGFest, hopefully I can squeeze 2 more characters in before that. Why I'm saying this here is that the MAGFest build will also be the first public beta! So you all will finally get to try it out!

I  thought I had an arcade run of him but I don't. So Wingnut was a bit of a challenge and as you'll notice there's no omega bat dive...yet! I'm not sure he needs one and if he does I have no idea what it would be. So I'm all ears on suggestions for that. There's a lot of untapped potential for him that I couldn't really demonstrate.

I actually wonder what the effects will look like in CvS-ish detail..especially Grand Cross or simply throwing the cross boomerang.

Anything that didn't have an aura of some kind will just be upscaled with slightly more details.

No one has made a better Sho than inverse. it's part of the reason I made two other breakers chars myself lol. You can Dos2Win them and it fixes the pal issues.

did you have a video out yet? I can't wait to see him in action. Also @Kamekaze is his whip attacks going to be slow on the startup? I imagine the range has to be enough to warrant a slower startup. Also with the angled attacks be a thing? the closest reference I can think of is Scorpion with his diagonal spear on the heavy punch spear command.

The whip will work in a way that's both a call back to all games and a character mechanic. It'll be lit my guy
