Not much, it would have slightly edited start up frames to make it seem like she's doing the kick from the air. At least that's what I understood from Wammy's description of the Dragonair air kick. Think of it as the difference between a Shoryuken and an Air Shoryuken in the MvC series.

While I am at it, have some digital art:

The bottom two are things I did for #drawitinyourstyle on Twitter/Instagram. The first character is for Din the Abary, the creator of "Deadly Metropolis". Second one is one of Diepod's characters.

I personally like how colorful they are, but in the case of Monolith, I don't like how the head came out. It feels too wide, and the cheek bones/eyes don't feel very well-aligned (one eye feels bigger than the other). I'd say its because I didn't start with a geometric sketch and play around with the space he should occupy. Gotta remember to do that for the next time.

It's mostly just an edited version of Kiwi's Grayscale Index Method that balmsold taught me. I usually revert to doing sprites like Diepod (pixel blobs + lasso tool), because I'm a lazy slouch that doesn't do line art to save his own lazy ass.

You should definitely stick with what your method, because it looks slick and clean; if I didn't know any better, I'd say someone from the Skullgirls team made that animation, haha.

Man, you are killing it lately. Really makes me want t go back to using a similar method to do my own sprites, haha.

The most I've ever spent in a dormitory was 5 weeks for some language-immersion program here. Only advice I'll give you from my own experience is bring earplugs/ear muffs. For the first week of said program, I had people partying in a dorm room right next to mine, almost non-stop. Although it died down the following weeks, it still happened sometimes, and boy was it irksome.

Another thing you should do is mentally prepare yourself for encounters with crazy first-year students I guess. A friend of mine who was doing a year at a local university had a lot of those (one apparently shat in the laundry machine, too).

Other than that, try to enjoy yourself.

I had that thought of that in my first draft. I can definitely put one in when I make an air version of that move.

This is pure gold man

I wish this become something more than a Mugen project, this should be a full official game with its own engine

Same. Maybe he could use MUGEN as a sandbox for testing out his game before moving it to a better engine. Maybe by then, Achilleon's UE4 Fighter engine will have released.

That's all up to CvS the Abstract of course.

Yeah, I'd love to see what you'd do with it.

Some more progress on Rugal:

And here are two animations for something I'm working on in my spare time:

It feels a lot like an Eternal Champions sprite enlarged.

Try to play around with the saturation and how many colors you are using for the various parts of Garuda's design. It feels like a clusterfuck of pixels than a cohesive and readable representation of Garuda in CPS3 format.

Use eFEX's sprite, and all official Capcom sprites as a reference, his rendition is an example of a SF3 sprite done right:

Damn that artwork and music tho. :o I like that boxer char a lot.

I should let you know that the "Mid-Boss Dashiita Theme" links to the "Lost Ones" ending theme. Aside from that, can't wait to see what you do here.

Glad you like it, thanks for taking the time for playing around with the sprites.

This one was inspired by @mete122: 's attempt at CvS-ifiyng Saiki. 16 colors w/o transparency, and the palette is from Joe and Yamazaki. The only thing that was taken from the original KoF XIII sprite was his eye color, which was also edited.

I played around with the idea of a Haohmaru-like shading for his hair.

His left arm feels more like that of a mannequin's than that of a humanoid monster's.

The lack of outlines makes it look really bad, his left viewer hand blends into his hip. The silhouetted look would've been fine if you worked on defining his form more with lighting.

Hair looks more like an incomplete blob than actual hair.

Try to tell us what you were going for. Maybe it can get you better feedback, because as it stands, I have no idea what you tried to do. I'm assuming it's supposed to be CvS-ish, but that's only a guess.

I wasn't really expecting anything good from it at first, but it was surprisingly well done. It started off really cringey at the beginning, but the action and comedy picked up after that and did a good job at it. Plot was basic, but I like the fact that they made it hard to figure out who the actual villain was. That had me at the edge of my seat with suspense.

Overall, I thought it was great (aside from the cringey beginning section). I would recommend it.
