Thanks for the heads-up and to KFM for the hosting :). Updating links accordingly.

IIRC, Trasgo7 made a Warzard-style Gigi, so it looks like we've all the bases covered. :)

That would be nice, if they can put up with my obsessive minor updates. Would that also involve setting up a basic homepage?

Eek, introduced a glitch to Hauzer during the last patch. Please either:

Redownload the patch and update his files (link here),

Or open your existing hauzer.cns, find

Code:
[State 1460, 2]

and underneath, change:

Code:
trigger1 = animelemno(0) > 1
trigger2 = !gethitvar(isbound)

to:

Code:
trigger1 = animelemno(0) > 1
trigger1 = !gethitvar(isbound)

Further bug reports welcome. I'm not a particularly thorough programmer. :P

Whoops. My Mugen Infantry site has been updated with a link to Random Select and this thread; I'm unable to update the characters there since Mugen Infantry controlled the files, and I'm not sure if linking to filesharing services is a safe long-term solution.

Re: Hydron/Nool from Warzard/Red Earth + Warzard char patches

Possible, but tricky; I'll need to find each version of the Warzard quartet and examine their code. Plus the fatality sprites need to be added, meaning the patch will be quite large. Its not top priority at the moment, but might get around to it in future if there's enough demand.

Hydron/Nool from Warzard/Red Earth + Warzard char patch (+ 22 April Hauzer Fix)

Download him at: RandomSelect. Hosted Older Creations -> Hosted Characters -> Doggiedoo. Latest versions of my other characters are also available here, with recent patches incorporated.
Mirror at: SendSpace

He is strong at long range, but has very few options against
close-range pressure. Get past his projectiles and most
characters should be able to keep him off balance.

============================================================

TO-DO LIST:
-Stage specific intro (looking for a good Icelarn stage to
 base it on)
-Possibly some AI and custom mode refinements
-Bug fixes/tweaks

============================================================

CREDITS:
-Capcom for Warzard
-Kong for most of the sprites
-[E] for mame builds for ripping sprites
-Winane for XOR AI activation method
-Cybaster for beta testing
-Mugen Infantry for hosting

Plus, patch for all Warzard chars except Lavia, updated 22 April 2010:

Download patch at: SendSpace

Quote
Update Details:

Hauzer:
   -(22 April) Fixed Tear Maker glitch. Whoops. :P
   -Added a taunt.
   -Extended winpose (walks over before stepping on
    enemy), alt winpose when original is not
    appropriate.
   -Fixed minor miscalculation in followup grab range.
   -Fire sound fx now plays properly.

Hauzer, Kongou:
   -Super armour works properly during air recovery.

Shin Valdoll, Valdoll:
   -Fixed some Emnity Malice glitches in simul mode.
   -Jump movement made closer to Warzard standards.

Blade, Hauzer, Kongou, Leo, Ravange, Shin Valdoll:
   -Landing noise plays when landing from air-guard
    (and dust fx where applicable). Landing sounds
    not applied to Valdoll and Lavia due to the
    'floatiness' of their landing anims.

Comments, criticism and bug reports welcome!

Whoops, sorry for late reply, haven't been online in over a week two weeks >_<

Anyways, has there been any Warzard Hydron's released? If not, I'll give him a go. Might not be ready for some time though, as I'm having issues with employment.

Was it with Hauzers hyper armour activated? He gains immunity to normal and special throws (but not hyper throws) while its up. If not, I'll have a look. I should've noted that in the readme, but forgot since this property was carried over from Kongou's similar move.

Yep, Kongou's RS archive has been updated to the recent version.

Thanks for all the support! :) Any bugs/suspicious behaviour so far?

The other (unpatched) chars can be found here: http://doggiedoo.mugen-infantry.net/characters. You'll have to download these and then apply the patch, since I can't update them until (or if) MI is back.

Sorry for the slow response; trying to migrate from XP to Windows 7. Permissions are a bit of a headache. >_<

Hmm, well this has me stumped at the moment. If there is an error in Hauzer's common1.cns, changing his .def as directed should cause him to crash MUGEN. If not, then he should be working as expected. It seems that something is causing his common1.cns to be ignored or overwritten. Is anyone else having similar issues?

No, thats his hyper armour attack, which prevents hitstun entirely. His super armour is his natural passive, and should protect him from at least a couple of light hits before he gets stunned.

-Edited for clarity

Oh. :( Try editing his 'hauzer2.def' file, and replace the line 'stcommon=common1.cns' with 'st3=common1.cns'. Does that change anything in-game?

Thanks for the comments and encouragement! :D

@HellsAngels297

If you mean the recovery slide at 1:25, no, he isn't supposed to do that. o_0 On the other hand, I can't see anything in his common1.cns file that should cause it. He also doesn't seem to have super armour in that vid... has the file been modified? If not, I'll give it a more thorough examination.

BTW, his slide attack is a bit different than in Warzard; originally, he slid a bit, stopped, closed his mouth, then started sliding again, all while lying on the ground. I'm guessing there was some sort of oversight, given how wierd it looked. :P

Also, other characters patched as of 23 Jan 2010:
Quote
Leo 1.02d:
   -Tweaked alignment when using Bite or Chokeslam
    on large characters.
   -Corrected some hitspark facing errors.
   -Fixed some Ultimate Guard glitches.

Kongou 1.00d:
   -Gekido properly requires power when used by a human
    player.
   -Corrected ground.slidetime on Daibustuden.
   -Fixed sliding on landing while air guarding.

Blade 1.03g, Ravange 1.00e, Lavia 1.00b:
   -Fixed sliding on landing while air guarding.

Enjoy! :)

Note: He's intended more as an AI opponent than a playable character, around sub-boss level. Because of his size and shape, he's also likely to look strange in certain throws and custom-stated attacks.

Thankyee! Her losing anim (burns up and turns normal) should be already in there, to trigger in the final round. I'll just double check it's running correctly.

EDIT: Plays for me against normal characters, though not against characters like Juggernaught that do stuff with the loser. If it's still a problem, I'll check the archive in case it wasn't uploaded right.

Should be in the character archive, in the 'stages' subdirectory.

Thanks, archive updated to fix command errors. Anyone who doesn't want to re-download can open <lavia.cmd> and cut/paste the section for "Tenshiouzahou" above the one for "Mamestusenshiou".

Nah, no Projects thread. Been quite a lazy creator lately, so I didn't want to build anticipation without knowing a rough release date.
