Decided to split the Creators board from games vault. Looked messy with the mix of them.

Rules

Posted by Just No Point  in Rules (Started by Just No Point September 30, 2018, 02:57:02 am
 Board: Creator's Vault

General rules
1. A collection needs at least three characters to be considered as one.
2. Specify the author names of each characters/stages/add-ons included in your collections.
3. Content in this section is for MUGEN content only. Non MUGEN related things, such as videos and character themes should go in their own thread in the appropriate section.
4. Try to make your collection as complete as possible and keep it up to date.

Collection formatting guides
Creator Collections; collection based on a certain author's works
It's recommended to use Template 2 provided as a base.
You can modify template to your liking, but keep the main essence.

Important reminders
1. Visual preview: Use characters sprites/stance animations/portraits to represent their visual. Do not use fanarts/random wallpaper because they wont really represent how the character looks like in the game.
2. Completion: do not throw random characters that aren't related to the actual game you made a collection of for merely the sake of adding more characters; for example, MGSSJ's Amaterasu, which was completely original sprited and diffrent gameplay from MvC, wont fit in a MvC collection even though she was a playable character in UMVC3.
3. File links: it is recomended to include link to author website, unless the file is already offline or said website is hard to navigate. (Of course it's not forbidden to re-upload the files to mirrors). Don't direct link files on their website's server. Some web server are known to forbid this and direct you to a 404 error page.
Important: Please refrain from linking to ad referral sites (such as Ad Fly). MUGEN and all its content are meant to be free, and any attempts to monetize them are prohibited.
In addition, redirecting people to a webpage that requires signing up (such as facebook group) is considered to be very inconvenient. Please don't do this as well.
4. Do not separate a section from a collection made by another user in sake of making more collections.
5. When dealing with different versions from the same author try not to just list as "old" and "new" versions. Use version numbers or maybe say "Their 1st release. 2nd release" or something to better illustrate.

In here you'll find the vault. It's set up in a manner similar to MFFA's collections though we intend to expand it further by allowing hosting of works by creators and librarians.
Feel free to join in and add more threads! Be sure to read the rules and use the templates. You can give feedback to improve the board here.
Special thanks to @Ink: for really stepping in to get this going. It's been sitting on the shelf not being used for 2 years!

Could be any number of reasons. My account was suspended earlier this year for a bit too. Because of a potential breach in security due to wordpress. Some years back there was a data leak due to Insanius making a coding mistake on his site and it was filling my server space up too much.

In short, suspended could just be a temporary thing and everything might be fine. No reason to panic till something is confirmed.

The shoulders look pretty off/huge/boxy in most frames looking at the screen shots.

Good work over all from what I see. But another pass over those may do well.

I make the super combos end early. Or cause a knockback if the char dashed in for example. If the opponent doesn't go into custom state even if it hits then it must be a form of armor.

I don't really see what Iced did either. He banned too high then the staff came in and pulled it back down. It changed nothing. Having different mentalities on staff is to aid each other if one does something a bit too drastic. TBF perma isn't too drastic considering how long this has gone down. As Byakko noted the length is irrelevant. In the end it makes it look like some are upset he said the ban was permanent out loud. It was instantly in the process of getting reworked before he even pulled that trigger. Some were saying keep it 3 months. Some 1 year, Some perma.

EDIT: I should note that JZ was probably twice as hard on Iced over the years than JZ was with me. At one point he was making a lot of maybe real/maybe joking death threats to him.

He had to scroll past what he'd made in the past to add a new insult. If he'd forgotten he was reminded at that point. It'd been better if he said "I was adding this new insult when I saw my 5 year old one that I'd forgotten about LMAO". At most he forgot then didn't care and left it.

Sorry if I had a low point one time where I wanted to rib someone back that's ribbed me for so long. One time in all the year's I've done this and I'm condemned... All the help I've given to so many over the years and this one thing makes me terrible. I mean it won't ever happen again but I really feel it's being blown out of proportion. I don't have a history of such things and would prefer to work with everyone. Even JZ.

Does his history mean nothing? Am I to always be flawless? Sorry I took the very same insults he said and redirected them :s Sorry that for the 1st time in 15 years I didn’t just roll over and take it. That I didn’t do something to promote him by featuring another release. That this one time I didn’t talk about how much he’s contributed. They were silly when they were first placed there by him and they were silly when turned against.

There was a vote on the ban length. While you may be able to argue bias from me (who voted to not extend the ban), jmm, and iced. You can’t really say Foobs, Zemillia, or Speed are biased. And even if you think jmm, Iced, myself, or whomever is biased... well maybe said person shouldn’t keep doing the same stuff. Shouldn’t keep poking and attacking. For literally years. For longer than many users have been alive. I don’t know what people expect will happen from that?
