yeah and he don't walk, he don't jump, he dosen't do a fat lot. I mean look at the sprite sheet.
There's not many sprites.. so really if I made him just like he is in NXC, he would be crap.
So I'm adding stuff. To make him more playable

UPDATE
I've just finished a video of Arisu Reiji in action..

It's only about 10% done.
It's still missing stuff. Like when he's girl jumps in, She fires 2 shots then disappears.. now ofcause it wouldn't be like that when I'm finished. I just need to add the animation of her jumping out of the screen.
I still need to add a fireball. I'm using the blast fx at the moment.
The Attack with the sword, will end up becoming a Supermove. I've just set it as a normal attack for now so I can work on it.
When he's finished, the girl will jump in and take the guns/sword from him.
& I'll be using those sprites for oneof the many intros

I think his stance is missing the weapons.

yeah I know, but from what I've seen, he don't have many moves. So 90% of the finished characters moves will be custom.
I'm gonna work the weapons in, don't worry about that lol

here are some more moves.


The first is kens jumping kick.
You can't tell from the animation but he jumps forward while he kicks.

The next one is of his girl jumping in and letting off 2 shots.

Just thought I'd keep you guys updated.
I'm looking into making a video of him in action.

Everything from him talking at the start and end of a match to him being hit.

ok, as far as the portraits go. They are bigger but when I come to release the screenpack. I'm going to have the character slots fill in the empty space so the original portraits will look fine.

What is the most commen amount of damge used on character attacks?
ie, Low Punch =#, Mid Punch=#, High Punch=#.

I don't wanna make my character seem weak but I don't wanna make a 'Cheap' character either.

As I know, there are all the sprites in the sheet... the only problem are the arms, which are separated from the body, and the joke is you have to ensemble him like a Lego (that's why I hate NXC spritesheets)

Those anims and edits looks very great, keep going ;) and I played NXC and Reiji uses mainly attacks with his (many) swords and his (more many) guns, so, you have to see NXC gameplay videos on YouTube to look how Reiji plays in his game...

Reiji is my favorite char from this game, so I'll be watching your WIP, I hope you can finish him ;)

I thought that about the spritesheet.. dam... ok.. well I guess he's gonna be completely custom then lol
I'll have a look on youtube for some gameplay videos.

yeah I know what you mean about the arm tho. i'ts a pain lol
but it kinda gives you the chance to custom the moves. Make them move and look the way you want it.

I think I'm gonna work the girl, Xiaomu.. into it as well.
I was just gonna have her there for the intro or the win pose but I think I'll make a 'MVC' style move where she'll jump in and both characters will do a supermove or something.

I swear to god, I added the CLSN2 boxs to the walk lastnight.
But I just checked, and now there gone. lol

But when I walk my character up to player 2, I can make him walk right thru him.

ok, I've started a new character using the Elecbyte template. I've started to add the sprites and stuff.
but my character can walk thru player 2.

I've never played the game so I don't know how the character 'Arisu Reiji' plays like.
But I like the look of the character so I'm making my own/custom version with all new moves and stuff.

But I need some help. I need some one to help me edit some sprites.

I need a walk back/forward animation.
I don't know if I'll be having him Crouching but if some one whats to have a go at doing a 'Crouching' sprite, I could edit it so he has some attacks while Crouching.

Plus I need some more basic attacks. Maybe a cool looking head-butt attack. Now that would be nice  ;)
I'm planning on having a load of basic attacks.
you normal, low, mid, high punches and kicks
Then another set where you have to press forward+A for a different low punch attack.
Forward+b for a different Mid punch attack, so on and so on.
 
So if anybody wants to help, I've posted a link to the spritesheet.
Just post the edited animation and the sprites in this thread and I'll use the best looking ones in the character.
I'll be giving credit for the edited sprites when I release the character.

It really would help me out and make the process of making this character move a lot faster if I got a little help.

I've been playing with your evil ryu now since you first released him.
I love your version.. It feels so smooth when I kick someones ass lol
But the only problem I got is the blue FX.
He's got a dark red glow coming from his body when he's in his stance, but he's supermove 'power' comes out in blue. It don't work.
So I took your character into fighter factor and edited some of the sprites and the pal.
Now he has the dark red supermove 'power'. & trust me, I think it looks even more amazing.
you should try it.
