ok guys, sorry for kind of abandoning the thread and i want to thank everyone for the comments. i was working on him day and night at times. but anyway, i want to say that if you do not have my newest version, you have a version that's almost impossible to beat lol, and you know his little tenchi fist, yeah it has an infinite that i need to edit, so he needs a couple of tweaks here and there. basically the main thing i fixed was his invincible roll. he's vulnerable right before his roll ends FOR REAL this time lol. he's still competitive. his roll after lying down has him invincible for a second when he gets up, so i'm gonna have to nerf that a little and that's all for now, thanks.

I've been lurking around this forum for awhile, but if you want to see more posts on me, look up juggernautburn on boxingscene.com Yeah, i'm an aspiring boxer.

i'm releasing my edit of Ethan Lives Spec ops character and calling him Sean_Ex. I did consult him with this creation, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. looks like he hasn't even been on the internet.

warning. this is a long post skip to the bottom for the video.

Motive:

the beginnning

I embarked on editing Sean Matsuda a long time ago after i've seen some of qwerwgrebew's work. The stuff that he was able to do with a character's AI was amazing to me. So i decided to give it a shot. It's actually funny how this all started, but i began playing mugen with gcnmario's guile. i played against reu's creations and decided they were invincible (in retrospect i just didn't practice enough) and i wanted an improved guile. so i looked for one and came across Sonic Machine...getting his ass kicked by david2draw (he inspired me to beat cheap characters). He was so flashy with his moves and it was the "improved" guile i was looking for. This got me interested and led me to other ethan lives' creations. I saw sean matsuda in his list and he was an instant favorite "i remember this kid from one of the street fighter games"

so i downloaded all of his creations thinking that maybe it was just sonic Machines ai and that i could take on the world playing with him. He was fun to play with for awhile, but Sean was also a favorite. so i played with dg's sean and mastered him and was able to beat lots of cheap characters. This was great at the time, but after awhile, it got old. I knew i could pick up almost any character and beat cheapies if i practiced long enough, but I wanted to do something else. i wanted to be able to kill SSj3 the nightmare. i wanted to figure out how to give sean a one hit kill. so i downloaded fighter factory and looked at the docs. it took me forever to find the damage parameter lol (as with everything else).

My eyes started wondering and looking over all of his moves. wondering what else i could tweak, so i decided i wanted his power to come up faster because it was god awful slow. so (lol) for every move he did, the power would go up by 1000. His ai was okay, so after a couple of hits, he was pulling off supermoves. I also decided i wanted to change his look, so i changed his pallettes and hair color. The end result was a cheap and rather boring creation. Then i thought, you know, something is wrong with P.o.t.s. Guy. He just wasn't cheap enough for me (though his ai was of one of the highest levels). So i made his power come up faster. The end result was on a team these guys were beating evil ken and evil ryu a lot....And thankfully my computer crashed and got rid of them.

intermediate

I wanted to edit sean matsuda again, but this time, i wanted him to be reasonably cheap and not ridiculously overpowered. so i went into the command and got back to work (also edited Sonic Machine around this time). But as i was there, i wanted to take it to the next level. His power now came up at a reasonable rate and i gave him 2 different long chain combos. i took some pallettes from evil ryu and added them into seans sprites. i edited a couple of his supers to look completely different. i made it so he did a kick while recovering and also gave him a projectile. i did other things as well. i dubbed him Master/Uber Sean and the end result was pretty amazing in my eyes at the time, but in retrospect, it wasn't complete. here was the end result.

The day that i uploaded the video, i also tried to upload the file, but my computer was acting strange and it didn't let me. soon after my computer crashed and with it i lost the edits (Sonic Machine and sean Matsuda). i told myself i wouldn't edit him again.

Expertise:

As time went on, i decided to play around with balrog's file. i even gave him a roll and i was able to beat reu's characters with him. I looked at my old creation and the comments it had recieved. people actually wanted this edit. Surprise, surprise. Even qwerwgrebew commented on it and said it was pretty good. So it got me thinking i should edit him again, but if i was, i had to take him to the next level and leave no doubts that the character is perfect (i was kind of obessive compulsive when it came to editing him.)

Here is a list of the edits:

-his AI is more agressive
-3 new supermoves
-2 long chain combos
-more moves are chainable
-all of his standard supers are chainable (those of which the AI will display)
-4 edited supermoves
-fixed a bug (his ryuujin kyaku would make him dissappear into oblivion sometimes)
-instead of his dragon punch, he does his uppercut when you are above/near him
-while recovering in the air, he reacts. if you block attacks, he is on the move.
-gave him a projectile.
-made him invincible during rolls.
-after he counters, there is a good chance he will combo you into an aerial rave
-new sprites and sounds
-new intros
-new pallettes.
-he has a beard
-i made his voice deeper
and some other miscellaneos things

And here is the end result.

he is still beatable, in the same sense that evil ryu and evil ken are beatable.

that's all folks.

Re: A new engine FEO (Fighting Engine Online) like Mugen with multiplayer network.

if you develop this, hmm, this could be big man. like mugen, only interactive with other players online. this can be huge man. I might make a character for it if you release it sometime in the near future. one thing i would suggest though is to code it so that no one can make overpowered characters. what i mean is, put limits on things like the juggle, damage, hit priority, life, and  both minimum and make sure no one can ADD life. the one thing in my opinion that takes away from mugen is the inbalance. it just makes it a little harder to enjoy. could you imagine what would happen if most characters were balanced?
