Why do you guys hate Dragon Ball characters so much? I thought some of them were great and would fit into the regular SF universe just fine. I mean how could Yamcha or someone like Goku not fit? I know there's a copyright issue and all, but I think those and someone like Piccolo are more than fitting for the game. That's just my opinion tho

from what I have read about it, gainax ran otu fo budget around episode 15, that's when it started getting weird as they could not go traditional (or at least as traditional as they went with gunbuster) and for osme reason that's when it became a hit.

I finished watching Angel Beats and thought it was great. I feel bad for not getting around to it sooner because it feels like a while has passed since I'v seen something so satisfying from beginning to end. The concept of the afterlife and how the lingering regrets of all the characters affected themselves. In atmosphere and in themes explored, the show reminds me of Sunday Without God , not directly of course.
Sehagirls: Anyone remember this. no one?eh. This was just ok, nothing to really write home about. The best arcs were probably the Virtua Fighter arc and the Space Channel 5 arc. aFter that, it was mostly flat to mediocre in the humor department. i'm a bit disappointed that they never did a Crazy Taxi or Shenmue parody ,but then it'd be a little heavy on the dreamcast side. It felt like a watered down version of gdgd Fairies without all the ad lib bits ( which were usually the best parts!!!). At least they had some sort of a budget to make it not look like dung and the opening/ending were nice earworms.
I like sega hard girls a lot, espcially the way they used the game assets inside the anime it really was like the character got inside the games; most of the jokes are weird as fuck and hard to get so this show can get very different mileage depending on how many jokes one gets, kind of like zetsubou sensei (and even if you get a joke, it might not be fun or grow old like center sensei), it also has takamina so it was a big pus for me.
I also read some "spolerific" info regardign it, nbut it might just be me overthinking it, I read that the show was gonna be two coeur and I read a list with voice actors for the portable sega systems, so I had tought we were gonna get them added as chracters in the anime, maybe for next season if this one.... sells ? it's an ad after all, kill me baby tripled the manga sales and was considered a success even though it only sold like 200 discs, the creators even went as far as personalizing each different disc witha different peice of art.
angel beats is good, best key show to get started with them , since the musical and action aspect make it more accesible, plus being only one coeur also helps. talking about it, we are getting a new ova soon as well as a vn.
I haven't been liking UBW so far.
It's boring. The characters feel like they are simply reading off the script of the visual novel. None of the characters are making m FEEL anything.
FSN and Zero where very powerful shows that really brought these character to life. It's so sad seeing such great animation wasted on such bad direction!
EDIT: While out of state I got to see Toonami again (I refuse to have tv like cable/satellite)
Man, they have some bloody stuff on there now! I saw they are showing Attack On Titan and Evangelion 1.11
So this irks me! Why do they not ever put Ranma on there? Evangelion was showing 14 and 15 year old butts. It's just crazy they can show Attack on Titan and not Ranma
Speaking of Evangelion. It was on so late I didn't get to finish it. Many years ago I tried the original series and didn't care for it. I typically don't get into big Mecha anime.
But I was enjoying this. I think I want to watch it.
Isn't there like 3 versions of the show now? Which should I watch? Or should I just start from vanilla and work my way to current?
watch the tv version, if youc an wait around a year it's gonna get remastered in bluray, otehr wise try to get a good quailty dvd version, once youa re done watching the tv version you can watch the movies , one if supossed to be a compilation (I have not watched it yet) and the other is an alt ending . after that come the remake movies, but they are still not finished and the plot also diverged a lot from the tv anime as the rei lottery gave us a different one.
if anything I enjoy watching different eva adaptations because of the rei lottery, you might already know what am I talking about, if not, explaining it mighe be spoilers.

anyhow jazz-on by kyoani, isn't there a jazz player in k-on forgot her name the fluffy haired girl. and character design look so 90's i'm liking it but if they don't play any music or any jazz reference like they did in k-on i'm not gonna watch it.

same ehre, the trailer really pumped me up, then I remembered the high amount of music k-on had, and I might just sit out the anime and wait for the actual music discs to come out...but... if it's season is really lacking on slice of life I might still watch (but what most likely will happen is me picking the first episode then not dropping it because I hate dropping (sup amagi brilliant park)).

meh in a few years will see a comeback of snk and maybe just maybe cvs3 that's when we might see geese in a capcom game.
well, they already finished the kof-only 3d models (kula, kyo iori , not sure if k' too), that and the fatal fury stuff means they are like 50% done with the game, considering they got a programmer who is not the same guy who codes the ports.

watchign that episode felt a lot like watching amagi brilliant park, teh main characters were going on with their boring shit while saber was eating / sylphie was doing stupid shit , which was more entertaining than whatever the show was about at the moment.
