*sighs* ok you guys are still reading my comments with biased opinions in your hearts....

I do understand tha KoF is a collaberation dream match of alot of SNKs major games (I already mentioned it in my previous post) but it has evolved into a world all it's own (as [b ]yakko stated in his post), thus it's practically it's own game (in NeoGeo Battle Colosium alot of characters where miscredited as coming from the KoF universe, not their original point of origin). And with the new "hero" Ash Crimson (like him or hate him he's the protagonist of the current arc) I see now as a good time to say "Yes KoF is a dream match game, but it is also it's own game aswell!) and this is something the Orochi and NESTS sagas only 1/2 fufiled to me. They took a few steps in the right direction by creating new characters (non-boss) not affiliated with any SNK game, I want to see some more of this originality from SNK as KoF is really the only fighter they work on nowadays (There's the new 3D Samurai Shodown game, but that's the only other recent fighter that comes to mind right now). This is why (oh god I'm gonna get MASSIVE hate for this) I actually kinda like Maximum Impact, it shows that KoF is it's own game with a slew of original characters (some even related to other characters or from SNK games we'd NEVER see, Fio from Metal Slug and Hanzo from Samurai Shodown! I know they were only clones but it was still cool!) and allowing the more missed/obsure characters to return to fame (Seth wasn't in XI but is plable in both MI, I get to play with Rock who has YET to appear in a main KoF ;-;, and Xiao Lon is probably one of Falcoon's best creations O.o) Don't get me wrong, I HATE Falcoon, but I will give him props for going the road less traveled (just wish he'd improve his style >.>)

Next when I said Terry had no major relevence you either A. misinturpted what I was saying or B. chose to ignore what I said around it. I mean he had no real purpose in MOtW, he had accomplished his job as previous protagonist (stopped the bad guy, check. Raise a new generation of hero, check. Change underwear after years of the same outfit, check-a-roo!) and the role was handed over to Rock, who led the charge in the story! Terry was there only to satisfy fans.

Lastly about Kyo's relevence, YES it was gone after Orochi saga (IMO, and here's why), you talk about his clones roaming around but this has nothing to do with Kyo, esspecially since most, if not all have been erradicated. You talk about Kyo being the origin of K''s power, again nothing to do with Kyo, once NESTS had created a superior Kyo clone, Kyo wasn't needed, a new plotline was developed with a new "hero" (infact K' was the whole reason they initially excluded Kyo and Iori from the arcade release of 99). So Kyo had no direct relevence to the story until 03 when Ash arrived and wanted the 3 sacred treasures. IMO Kyo should/'ve his powers powers taken by Ash and allow new or hell obscure heros to rise up to the challenge.

I'm not asking for a new story, ok maybe it is a little harsh of me to ask for the removal of the "vets" but it's not like you can't include them in the console port, or have them, just sevrely underplay their importance. I just feel proud when I can point at a character and say "yeah he/she's from KoF" and not be an idiot who doesn't know the REAL SNK game they came from.

Also about the Athena thing...umm I don't think she meant it by insult, she's just stating a fact after all....she was just being playful/flirty? with Kyo.

Hey, why is it that a hero is usually related at least in some way to the story going around him ? Gee, maybe because he's the hero of the story.
I'm not complaining about Kyo being the main character (again he's my favorite character) I'm just say Kyo's time has passed and I beleive he (along with several other characters) should be removed from the story (they can still be playable through console releases). Kyo should've disappeared after NESTS was in full swing. And along with Iori should've had his powers taken by Ash, this giving Ash total limelight and creating a nice void for new heroes to fill. And in regards to Mark of the Wolves, Terry had NO real major relevence (it was all Rock). He was just there so people wouldn't rant about the series main stray not being there (much like the inclusion of Ryu and Ken in SF3). This is why nearly the entire cast of MOtW are new to that entry in a long running series (again much like the cast of SF3).

SNK needs to learn it's time for a REAL "revival" of the KoF cast, before it was just a dream match collaberation of their other works, but it has evolved into something much greater! So I say it's time to give it the "MOtW/SF3" treatment and replace "vets" with the "newcommers".

Let me make this CLEAR I'm NOT bashing ANY character! For the most part I love the enitre KoF universe. But it's time to show some evolution in story and characters (gameplay and graphics have already been accomplished, and I'm VERY sadden at the fact they switched Terry back to his Fatal Fury 2 outfit....)

EDIT: Also Kyo and Iori weren't even meant to be in 99 and up, but there vast popularity made them appear in the console releases of 99 and regulars in 00-02. 03 brought back their story relevence.

I don't dislike Kim, I just prefer Chae Lim...maybe I'm just sexist, as I perfer to use female characters....

That would explain your anti kyo, pro momoko stance.

Kicking out kyo is really very silly. Ryu hasn't won any tournaments for ages and is just some deadbeat fighter with a hopeful outlook, capcom haven't given him the boot.

More reason's why momoko is crap. She's an angel clone. Except unlike angel, her fight style is boring. I mean, jumping A, why the FUCK does she do a starfish in midair, and for that matter, why does it hurt at all. She has a move called "squashy squashy kick" Thats really quite awful, and shows you what they were going for with the character as well. Why didn't they just give her a move called "cutesy bottom" and leave it at that.

I still consider Malin to be female choi. Wall jumps, flying blade attacks, mega high jump. Just, one has a character of sorts and the other is trying too hard to be angsty and failing.
Ok first off, I LOVE KYO! He's my favorite character including males AND females and is always apart of my team in some way or form (fav XI set ups: Kyo, B. Jenet, Terry. Kyo EX, Vanessa, Momoko. Kyo, K', Kula/Ash) so don't say I hate Kyo or that I'm being sexist toward him. I'm just simply don't like repitition esspecially with a story that has lasted a decade, and even more so with a character that has lost the lime light (if Ash didn't come around Kyo would've never been back in the story as a major relevence.)

2nd I know the MI thing you guys are talking about, but that's NOT what I'm talking about! YES there is an exchange before battle between Athena and Kyo about idolness and school boyness, but it was NOT featured in MI first! It was first stated in a late 90s KoF when Athena finished of Kyo, in her win quote she would mock Kyo for still not finishing Highschool. (for the Japanese HS is 3 years long, it was 5 years until Kyo dropped out, and I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure he entered 94 as a Sophmore)

Lastly, believe it or not there is a minority that actually likes Momoko's style (i.e. apparently only me...) but I never said Momoko was tournament worthy or anything. Because honestly if your "reasons" are either opinion based or bashing her "bad" moveset, which would really only matter to a tournament player (in which case I can see why you would label her as "fail") but I still enjoy her, AND I HATE ANGEL! >.< Glad that whore is absent >.> I know I'm gonna get bashed for this statement but hey, it's my opinion (and I'll admit right now my "reasons" are totally opinionated, I just don't like her; hated her story, her character design, her personality, I'd say I liked her fighting style but I didn't like it with HER thus I don't care for it to much either...)

This is KoF MI2, this is Falcoon and this is not canon.
Kyo never got the opportunity to finish school because of the whole "I was imprisonned by NESTS for nearly two years when they mass-cloned me, right after I got to destroy an ancient angry deity that wanted to wipe out humanity, and just before I helped get rid of another guy who tried to actually turn himself into a deity". It's kinda retarded to point and say "hey Kyo dropped out of school". It's not like he decided to quit just because he didn't need to finish school. And he was rather getting pushed toward the "I was a good guy but now I'm in a bad mood and I think I'll just burn / break your face" kind of anti-hero during the NESTS era (see his Kamukura and Hikigane). This was dropped and he's just angry at the bad guys on a personnal level.
Also I'm not completely sure but I think it's Kyo mocking Athena about it. Maybe she returns it to him... But anyway, Athena is actually still wearing her school uniform, which makes it worse in her case.
Ok first off, no it wasn't in MI where Athena mocked him about not finishing school yet, it was late 90s that she said this (specifically in her win quote against him). I can't remember the exact game and saddly I'm missing alot of my early era collection >.<

Next, Kyo stopped wearing his school uniform in 99. In between torunaments he could've finished school before the end of the Orochi saga and/or after he was free in the BEGINNING of the NESTS arc, because honestly no one needed him after 99, it was all about K', Kula, and Maxima. He regained importance in 03 simply due to Ash wanting the 3 treasures.

Lastly, Athena has worn many outfits (the most of any KoF, hell SNK, character) this is due to her occupation as an idol, she has to keep with the trends! She rarely ever wears a school uniform sporting it only twice (3 if you count XII, but it's not out yet, but w/e), so there are 2 easy explainations; 1. it's apart of her current idol theme, 2. the artist just perfered her this way (as she has never sported a traditional school girl outfit), or 3. to make it suit her loli-esque style (which you're a liar if you say she isn't >.>)...ok I gave 3 reasons...

*sighs* I know Kyo is fighting for honorable reasons and to save the world and all, but it still doesn't sit well with me...(esspecially considering Athena already down with school and even mocks Kyo about it in one of the games... :|) and just because he's "rich" by any standards doesn't make it ok for him to be a drop out...he needs to make Shingo un-lame and teach him the ways of Kusanagi (or have a kid), retire, and get his GED x.x

I personally think KoF should get a roster revival (a la SF3, except exclude main char and rival despite fan grips because they know they'll play it anyways >.>) after the Ash chapter. Give me an entire roster of new caracters AND/OR bring back some of the more obscure/missed ones.

Also I want specifics in WHY Momoko and other characters equal fail for you guys >.>

And heaven forbid SNK tries to breath new life into their series! I like KoF because of it's vast list of characters and constant inclusion/omision of them, it makes every installment interesting ^^ and of the 3 "newcomers" I liked Momoko the best (even though I was an avid Elisbeth player x.x)

Ok just wanted to express some opinions....
- a loli is only a loli if you wanna hump it
- when KoF started out Athena was nowhere near legal as it started in her early highschool years
- Athena's sprite and portrait make her look like the youngest contestant there! (she looks like an angry 12 year old in her portrait)
- Kula owns
- I HATE Falcoon, but I'll give him props every once in awhile (Xiao Lon was a pretty cool character). he doesn't have bad ideas, just a bad style, it doesn't sit well with me....
- the sprites for XII aren't to my liking (despite being the best in 2D history) everyone is a bit beefy and if you wear pants they make your legs look odd o.o
- I love Momoko, sure she wasn't the best character but eh, I liked her style and mix up special
- KoF may be a "serious" universe, but it's about a tournament of world fighters, why they hell can't kids compete? You guys are just insecure >.>, you have to have the youth fighting, for if they don't no one else will defend their future (most fighting game have at least one youthful spirit) and honestly alot of the KoF fighters should just retire, I'm looking at you Kim >.> just let Chai Lim take over damn it!

Now I'm not saying everything Falcoon craps out is gold, or that "lolis" should be in everything, but hell you guys gotta expanded your horizons, NOTHING in this world will love 100% as time evoles. I love Guilty Gear to the point I would kill 10 baby human to play, but hell there are alot of things I don't like about it, does that mean I'm going to rant? No, just accept it and enjoy the things I do like and that they're still providing me with something to love.

First let me say, thank you for the signs of interest! Next, even though I'm about to talk about the systems found within the game, keep in mind this is all subject to change, about the only thing set in stone is the button layout, not quite the functions, however here is how the current build is shaping up:

5-button attack input: P(unch), K(ick), S(lash), H(yper Slash), and XC'D(pronounced "exceed")

The XC'D Gauge: With a max of 3 levels, use it to preform over the top finishing moves, transform your character, and even halt your opponet mid-combo and counter attack!

The XC'D button: This allows you to preform your signature moves, and enhanced versions of your special moves.

Brave Counter: By using up 1 level of the XC'D Gauge you can activate a "Brave Counter" (XC'D + another attack button) and stop your opponet mid-combo and begin your own assault!

Gene Activate*: When the XC'D Gauge is at max, by pressing all the attack buttons (excluding XC'D), you can activate your "Devil Gene" and become a more powerful enchanced version of your character!** This allows for 2 totally different play styles per character!
*Not all characters carry the Devil Gene, but all sport a similar transformation
**It is possible to revert to your original state by getting the XC'D Guage to max and pressing the XC'D button. You are allowed 1 transformation and 1 revertion per fight, NOT round! Also once reverted your XC'D Gauge becomes unusuable, thus any actions requiring the Gauge also become unavailable. Use this feature wisely.

Nice stage work, I also love the BGM, very Zelda-esque! If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to create the melody? Good work, I must admit I look forward to this projects, hopefully I'll be able to tear myself away from my own project to give it a try ^^ Keep up the good work guys. I love Melty Blood (in my top 3 favs of 2D Fighters--Guilty Gear, Arcana Heart, Melty Blood)

Actress Again is going to be awesome! Just wish they didn't choose now to go all "Accent Core" on me and total re-record/replace seiyuus >.<

The gameplay is coming along nicely and I'm like how different characters play between the 3 styles (Full, Half, and Crescent Moon), though it seems most tournament players are already labeling EVERYONE'S Half Moon style as a joke.

Roa and Riesbyfe are coming along as nice additions to the cast, I can wait to get my hands on story mode >.<

I'm a current employee of GS and all I have to say is, yes, it should be re-named to Nazistop, because the CORPARATE is evil! No, not all stores are bad, just depends on what GA is at the counter; there's no such thing as bad stores, just bad people.

I'm probably the hardest working GA at my store, and I'm also sympathetic to people:
- If they're short on time/want to get the hell out of there, I don't bother with chit-chat or forcing them to reserve something XD
- If it's not true I won't say it, yes reserving is OVERRATED! But if it's a PC game, then we probably won't get it without a reserve
- I'm not going to bleed someone dry! If they're making a small purchase I'm not going to suggest our discount card, if they are making a "OMFG I'm broke for weeks!" I'm not going to suggest our discount card, though it does save you 10%, it's a $15 purchase first o.o

Excuse me for barging in, but I'm just here to clairify:

NO! This is not the confirmation of the console port for Arcana Heart 2!

YES! This is simply a revision for Arcades (yes like #Reload, Championship Edition, and FULL!--for the original Arcana Heart)

YES! It does offer more than your standard update (even more so than FULL!) as is gives you 2 new characters, 2 new Arcana, MAJOR rebalancing, and new art direction (which I kinda hate :()

HOWEVER! The console port is probably not to far off, as this seems to be a habbit of their's, they aren't going to port it until it's the definate version of the game! They don't like shafting any of their consumers so expect a console release mid-next year which features both Arcana Heart 2 and Sugokana.

Tonight I'm here to post a QA (Quality Assurence) Survey to make sure we provide the best possible experience in not only Devil Gene R but future releases aswell! Lol, no you pretty much hit the target on that one, never really tought about Plasma Sword, but there is definetly some Guilty Gear and Melty Blood inspiration! ^^ I'm glad you're so excited, I've peeked around at your work and am quite impressed, you are a very skilled artist. about 200 to 1000 sprites for each and every character u want to make.
Wow that sounds like alot, but I'm not going to give up! >.<
So my next question is: how do I go about making sprites, what would I need for that? (I know I'm a total noob, please forgive me, but I really do want to learn)
