Well, sorry about all this guys...  :(

I had no idea I was Warehousing, Stealing, or anything like that. I was just... Putting a game together that I thought was good, and I thought people would've liked it. Me and The Frosted Side thought that we were putting something nice together, but we were wrong in doing all this.

Sorry to all the people whose things we used, and sorry to all the websites that provided everything that we used. Hopefully you'll all be forgiving. And sorry again.

judging by the screenshots i dont think any of the characters play alike or have the same system or have any sense of balance (but i could be wrong)

if this is just a compliation then it's probably not worth getting. when you're releasing a fullgame you can customize the characters to give them a sense of uniformity. you could take several liberties with the screenpack by using different portraits (and a different font instead of the default one)
Thank you for taking time to evaluate it a bit (or at least that's what you sound like you did.) Again, if the first descriptionw as too long, we were pretty new at MUGEN creation, so FULLY customizing was a bit... "hard". So anyway, We're better at it now, but again this was when we were new. We decided not to change most of the character portraits, because the creators of the characters and stages probably wouldn't approve of that kind of thing. The most we changed was the title of some stages in the def, and added different intros.

This is a garbage compilation, nothing more.
Did you download the game? It'll probably take longer than just a post 3 seconds after I described it. Since everybody is assuming that It will suck (being a Full MUGEN game), i think you should download it, and acknowledge your folly! :sugoi:

Also note, we made it an .EXE instead of a .ZIP (although we have that incase...) or some Torrent (nasty files --; ). So it comes with an installer and everything. =)

So let me start off: I would've posted this in my own creation thread, but I'm not the only one who worked on this game. =)

It started somewhere around late last year as The Frosted Side (co creator, who will probably make an account here soon) and myself (XF) wanted to make a really awesome MUGEN game. Maybe the best. EVER. So we worked a bit, to try to come up with a story (which I did), and then try to make some stuff that would make sense with it (screenpack by The Frosted Side). We decided, why not do something really cool, and rather than have some scrolling screen with words, or something, create some intros (which I did), and arrange some boss battles (which I did, figuring out the whole "Order=" system), and than get the characters (they are not ours...). Let's begin:

One day, as Morrigan traveled through the Nether-Realm on search
of something new and exciting, she stumbled upon a sleeping Abyss,
deep in a volcano.
Unaware of what the creature was, she curiously decided to
awaken it... after many attempts to wake the beast from its sleep,
it suddenly rises with a thunderous roar and strikes
out against her... she attacks it in an attempt to escape.
Superman, who had been patrolling the area earlier also attacks
the beast to subdue it. After the dust clears, the beast is gone.
Morrigan & Superman finally meet.

Superman appears on the agressive and Morrigan, passive. After
Superman explains the damamge that could be done to both of their
worlds, Morrigan realizing the urgency of the
situation - she teleports herself and Superman to Earth
for Superman to contact a few of his friends and allies. After
giving a quick briefing on the situation, Superman decides to
organizes 2 teams (XF and Rush) to aide in capturing the monster,
to split up and search for it. Team XF - lead by Captain America -
on Earth, and Rush - lead by Superman - for the
other-worldly dimensions including outer space with additional
reinforcements from the Green Lantern Corps & The Avengers.

In Morrigan's words, "Abyss if i recall,
was powerful enought to destroy planets, and that was infact
his only purpose. His first destination after awakening will
always be Northwards".

Meanwhile, S.T.A.R.S., Cadmus Labs, the Army, and other
government agencies scramble to evacuate the citizens of their
cities.

Abyss, the monster continues its rampage throughout the game, with
each level becoming more and more desolate. Everywhere it goes,
buildings are destroyed, streets are crushed, people are massacred,
and the life of not just earth, but all planets are at stake.

The game ends with both teams confronting Abyss, and defeating him.
After the battle, Demitri confronts Morrigan to arrange the battle
he and her had been waiting to have for what seemed to be
ages... Superman thanks her before she leaves, and flies away,
while Morrigan & Demitri teleport to The Dark Realm.

At first we weren't planning on doing any of this however, to tell
you the truth, just throwing some of our favorite characters
together to have that dream match up - this all came together
coincidentally.

That, and we had a strong desire like many PC gamers out there to
play a GOOD, fun game with good music, characters, story, etc.
That you can get into easily, and enjoy (and come back for more!)
It was very hard work (taking over 2 months with testing) but we
made it.

We didn't want to make just a good game. We wanted to
make a good PC fighting game. Made with MUGEN, of all things.
MUGEN has, for a long time, gained a reputation for being used
to make... unsatisfactory games, mediocre gameplay, and music.
With the most cheapest, poorest, unbalanced character rosters.
We didn't want that this time.
(But we kinda failed on the balanced characters by pairing
Jill Valentine against Superman didn't we? ^_^")

There are 12 members on each of the teams. Here's the list
beginning with the team captains of each.

Team Rush (Superman)                      Team XF (Captain America)
---------              -------

- Ryu                 - Spider-Man
- Chun Li              - Captain Commando
- Deadpool              - Sentinel
- Terry Bogard              - Rogue
- Iori Yagami                   - Strider Hiryu
- Cranberry Jam                   - Vega
- Yun Lee              - Guile
- Yang Lee              - Gambit
- Morrigan Aensland           - Jill Valentine
- Mai Shiranui              - Jin Saotome
- Demitri                 - Dr. Doom

The intro for each of the characters will differ depending on who
you play as in the Story mode.

Everybody who's characters, stages, music, and pictures we used are listed in (yeah, we got that too O.o ) the credits. Now if anything (screenpack, intro sprites) looks a bit off, it's because we were quite new with MUGEN creation when we started this project (but have improved since :sugoi: ) and since I'm not the only one who made this, FEEDBACK is most wanted. Is it good, Is it not ULTIMATE, is it... Almost there? Talk back, and I'll give all the rest to The Frosted Side, and I'll look over it myself. There's a README that comes with it, and It has all the information you could possibly want, from the littlest detail to FAQs about bugs that we encountered. ( ;P) There aren't that many characters (24), but overcrowding would've really destroyed it.

NOW... If you're ready to experience the ULTIMATE MUGEN game... BEHOLD!

I like that Sunset Riders screenpack. Especially the Game Over screen, that one is stylish.
Thank you, Therio =)

P.O.T.S has created an Comic Zone stage with animation, and "page scrolling".
That pretty much owns every attempt at creating a stage from said game.
Yes, I have seen the stage (never downloaded it, so I didn't know about the page scrolling), but I thought this would be a pretty nice stage to make, being a tournament arena and all. If you don't like it, it's no big deal :P

Ok, So I'm back again O.O This time with a Comix Zone stage (if you all remember that Sega Gens game). I really sucked on the animation, and cause I couldn't seem to get rid of the transparency from a few sections from the background, I'm only about 90% satisfied with it. -_- I'm not really that great an animator, but maybe I'll get it down. Check out the screens, and click to download: http://www.esnips.com/doc/fb2eb29c-32c3-4bbf-91f5-a0b455b5b9a6/Comix-Zone---Episode-2:-Himalayas

Also note, the stage doesn't look this stretched, I just tried to make it so that you could see everything...

i dont know if thats how the sprites were but tis mega pixcelly and plain...
lol, talk to Konami about it xD I just ripped the sprites from a 99.9 precent accurate emulation of the game, and fixed it up for MUGEN.

Here are some pictures of the level. =)

I should've made it so that the city in the background is another BG layer, but I didn't have that sprite, so I made use of what I had. :P

Oh, and I rip the sprites, and the music myself.

Hey, I'm new and stuff. Just call me XF. =)

Got started with MUGEN last year, after I wanted to start making SOME kind of game. I got all kinds of other things, but just googled "easy game making engines", or something like that, and found MUGEN on a list of easy to use engines on some site. So I downloaded it, and got it going. Started something and called it XF (thus my name), and wanted to start making stuff, so later (currently) I did. I'm just starting out with some Intros, and stages I guess. I know how to work a few of the other things in MUGEN, too ;D

So I guess I'll put some of my stuff up later and hopefully you all will enjoy it. Later.
