Hey Caddie, the link is not working.
Is this character still available?

Have you ever had any music playing properly in RC8? I think you might need to update your mugen.cfg file. Use the one from Elecbyte and copy whatever customizations you want to keep from your old file.

All of the music, I had used for stages work perfectly. It's just getting custom music to play in the title * character select screen to work.

It could be the space in the title name. Maybe.

Rename the MP3, change the system.def to match, and try again.

Tried it and it didn't work.

The odd thing is that the mp3.file worked pefectly fine, when I had added it to a stage.

The default screenpack for MUGEN 1.0 uses the system.def in the mugen1 folder, and the mugen1 folder is inside of the data folder.
Unless you're editing that system.def, your sound won't play.

MP3s work totally fine in 1.0, so it shouldn't be the plugins.

I've edited the system.def in mugen1 folder.

Here's how it looks:

[Music]
 ;Put a filename for a MOD, MP3 or MIDI here, or just leave it
 ;blank if you do not want music. If an invalid filename is
 ;given, then no music will play.
 ;To play mymusic.mp3 from the sound/ directory, put:
 ;  title.bgm = sound/mymusic.mp3
 ;Music will continue to play between screens if the files names
 ;are the same, and both BGMs are specified to loop.
  ;Music to play at title screen.
title.bgm = sound/09 Triggernometry.mp3
title.bgm.volume = 100    ;volume scaling factor in percent. 100 is default
title.bgm.loop = 1        ;Set to 0 to prevent looping
title.bgm.loopstart =
title.bgm.loopend =
  ;Music to play at char select screen.
select.bgm = sound/09 Triggernometry.mp3
select.bgm.volume = 100
select.bgm.loop = 1
select.bgm.loopstart =
select.bgm.loopend =

Hi, I'm trying to add music to the title & vs. screen. I've followed the  instructions in the system.def file and some of the video tutorials on YouTube.

It's an mp3.file and I have placed a copy in the sound folder.

Still with everything correct and were it's supposed to be the music will not play.

Did you try to install the bars at data/mugen1?
Try this, I did it with my lifebars. It works ;)

Remember to adjust the localcord before, like 320x240 (or if they are hi-res, 640x480)

How do you do that?

Thank you.  ;D
It's a bummer that I cannot use Broken98 lifebars and fonts for this current Mugen.

Question though, can we borrow music, announcer sounds and lifebars from acceptable high-res packs?

Ah really...?
 I thought they were made for hi-res, but since that's the problem I'll do that.

Hey, I'm an old off and on again MUGEN user. I  began in 2002 stopped using it back 2007, and decided to get back into it after seeing an Thor vs. Wonder Woman match on YouTube.

I'm trying install the broken98 lifebars to the latest version of mugen the one released earlier this month When I load matches, the lifebars are way too small and are positioned on the left corner of the screen.

How do I fix this?
