Great work.

The first sprite v1.0 is far superior, coloring can be easily changed, it is the shading that defining and you did an awesome job.

I was thinking though the lightest shade in clothing is not used below the belt, a slight touch might add some dynamic to his overall colorfulness and making below the belt slightly lighter will give a slightly fresher impression.

The reason the Wallpaper doesn't work so well is that the floor where the characters stand on isn't pixel art and the character sprites of course are (the background can stay as it is). If you would would pixel it from the bottom upwards and try to make it more seamless the further up. That would make it pretty flawless. Like a perfect 10 or something.

As for the stage try making smaller sub images out of them so that there is less color loss (think only 256 colors for each image). For example if you divided it into sections with the lettering artwork mostly separated as well as the floor separated that would help you keep a lot more colors and as such add a lot of quality to your stage. So go as far as making lots of tiny sub images of 256 pixels each, this equals zero color loss.

Easy puzzle as usual.

Loads of moves truely true. Good Character. The charging/holding moves are nice (the Wind punch is ;D ). The portrait is great. There are few act files which isn't a problem, but only one of the act files supports colors for his special moves, etc. But you already knew that, I fixed it though ;).

Nice comboing AI! :evil:
