Besides the EX groove is there really that much of a diffrence? Both seem to look and play the same to me. Forgive my ignorance

Hi,

I am using normal winmugen with no screen pack and I am having the following difficulties:

My computer crashes when I switch off the Mugen screen.  Like if I want to use a character readme file while in training mode. (edit: looks like I'm SOL from reading this fourm)

My midi files are not looping on stages. After the file is done I just get a high pitch noise.

I played a few years ago and do not remember either problem or how I fixed it.
