I'm so glad you resurrected a topic that has long since been moved on from for the sole purpose of posting a nearly one month old YouTube video, and nothing else.

Just A+ posting all around

You're welcome  :)

I agree, that face WOULD be better.

Is the Genesis/DAZ3D model, or someone elses?

That's because feminine asses are always better than masculine asses.

The only place I want to see a masculine ass is in a moment of humor, like when Brock Samson was getting his prostate searched and then he broke the guy's hand by squeezing hard.

I don't think any one here is a master of anatomy and even if one were, I would think you'd have better things to do with your time than criticize someone's bad drawing.
I also believe a master of physics would be doing something better than criticizing someone's bad depiction of a physical material.

If you're going to argue about gender issues of over/sexualising a picture or ague about said argument (like Sky79 did) then say so.
If you're going to argue about what's actually important here (that being the image is not good), then say that.

But this is not about the anatomy or physics of the character(s). If you're not 100% accurate in the depiction of an image, then it is inaccurate. That includes lighting/colors/etc = every drawing is inaccurate. Every photo is inaccurate. NO image based of a real object is accurate.

As the artist, he has the right to break the laws of reality in his image, the same as a writer has with the story.
Does breaking the laws of reality sometimes make an image look better? YES
Did he break it correctly? No (imo)

Uhh... like what?

Like Mysterion and The Coon from South Park.

They're clearly based on/parodies of comic book characters (dark brooding vigilantes like Batman in particular) but they have no other relevance to comic books or the like. No comic books or anything of them but they fit in with a comic book based world/theme/discussion/whatever.

Would a comic books thread be an appropriate place for them?

Does a "Comic Books" thread match up for things that are like inspired by comics and such but have no actual connection to comic books?

There's a difference between a little information vs no information (and tmi).

Batman's cape has good uses which are explained. You can break reality a bit for the sake of entertainment.
Nothing about wildcat remotely tells me that he could fight a group of people (with guns) and come out on top without dieing or them being storm troopers.

Wildcat being great at fighting allows a fight with him to tell me that he could beat hundreds of people in a close up fight, even if in reality he would've been too tired to fight so many people, because suspension of disbelief makes it make sense.
Suspension of disbelief is broken when a fight also tells me that he could do it when they also have guns and he's not hiding and being stealthy, or there isn't a LOT of walls and such protecting him from the bullets.

Can you direct me to some issues where Wildcat fought groups of people with guns (and not) so that I could see how it happened, because saying it doesn't need an explanation makes as much sense as the reason storm troopers always missing is because "just roll with it".
I mean even being really fast as the explanation of dodging bullets is better than "it just happens".
:)

I agree with Jmorphman, the tape is an improvement on the costume.
It's not really a good costume but it looks better with tape (or something) than without.

I figured that's what you wanted, and you should have just asked instead of trying to instigate. Wildcat's a boxer, but he knows other martial arts. He had to be killed 9 times in succession to die.

Nah, I was just interested in seeing them/someone argue over a costume/character/etc, the actual interest in him developed after I was quoting their posts.

I don't get the resurrection thing (aside from it being an cheap-excuse to make him useful/unkillable), but it would(ve) explain(ed) him being on a team with super-powered peoples (except apparently that wasn't invented for years after he joined).

Batman and family fights people with weapons and powers; when their fighting skills and environment don't work, they also have tools/weapons that give them an edge in the fights, Green Arrow as well.

Wildcat has nothing but his hands (and a later developed immortality thing). Did he only fight people with fists and melee weapons up to and after he got his power, or was/is there some kind of explanation as to how he could fight people with guns with no body armor or weapons and only his fists and the surprise that they have to kill him multiple times to kill him?

P.S. what is your avatar Jmorphman?

Spoiler: Over at the DC Cinematic Universe thread: (click to see content)

Hey what kind of people did Wildcat fight?
To my understanding he use to be with the Justice Society and his abilities include: Boxing and..............boxing.
So what did he do and what kind of people did he fight, because I would assume there were at least SOME people with guns or powers or something, so given what little I know about him, I couldn't see how he would do too well against them without being COMPLETELY stealthy like Batman and catching them off guard.

his imagination
That doesn't even begin to make any amount of sense.

He could be saying that you're amazing at drawing and you drew that picture to make up a point.

Well, basically. The page itself is from the improbably awful Countdown To Final Crisis, but it's recapping something from the not quite as bad but still terrible Lightning Saga. But it's the only actual Karate Kid/Batman fight that I could think of, and it's not as awful as either series/arc overall, though Batman is doing far too well against someone who is a master of every martial art in the universe 1000 years from now. Even with the fact that Karate Kid is being brainwashed, it's still too much. >:[

Thanks, and um...would you happen to remember which issue of Countdown?

The ONLY reference I can find for ANY of that to DC or even comics and possibly comic related things is he's suppose to be Lex Luthor for an untitled sequel to Man of Steel and he was in Zombieland.

Somehow back then I thought when Supes was killed he was split into 4 new characters and they were able to merge him back together or something. I don't remember how I came to that conclusion or if I was told that or what.

Probably because Superman was spit into two guys (Superman Red/ Superman Blue) after absorbing too much sun radiation and containing too much power to sustain in one body or something like that; this happened in the early 2000's, unrelated to the previous story of a Superman Red from the silver age.

I agree that Death and Return of Superman is pretty much not very good, but Max Landis is totally wrong, Superman is not a dull character!

... he does say that, right? I saw that video awhile ago but I don't wanna see it again because HE'S WRONG ABOUT SUPERMAN but it was pretty funny

He said there's nothing special about Superman other than that he was the first superhero. His superpowers aren't that interesting anymore and there are so many other characters with his powers and other characters now with a more interesting powers, and also that he's overpowered with his only actual weakness being kryptonite (he didn't mention anything about indirect weaknesses such as magic/mental/sun/etc)

Basically he was saying superman isn't new or unique anymore as a character; he didn't say much if anything about the stories, which would leave his point mute since the only way an old character could combat that is if the character constantly changed into new characters.
