Thanks for the comments guys! 
1st picture shading on the neck is a little bit odd. 2nd picture is just flawless. man you should try making a big portrait with your skills.
Yeah, the first picture is actually the preliminary before I ventured into the second style.
Not bad.
How long do you draw? And how long did you need for that Akuma Portrait ?
I made a quick sketch on paper, scanned it, then everything else was by mouse. So basically, it took a long. fucking. time.
This was very educational for me though altogether. I'll probably find something I want to change again later.

I'm still learning to render better cartoons, so please let me know if there's something iffy about his face. I'm sure there are various things off, and at the same time this is Akuma who's made with extreme features. As far as the coloring style, I'm experimenting as well.

Sorry, I haven't been active lately, but thanks everyone. I know the logo I left was a little too messy though. If this could wait a few days longer I can clean up the edges and make it the logo more compact.

my personal opinion is maybe find a sprite artist for original stages. maybe use existing CPS2 stages along with original stages which can imitate the same style?

This thread will be for all artwork going into the project.
Currently I am finishing up the line art on Strider Hiryu, which is a touched up version of the older draft I posted. Will post soon.
Realistically speaking, my schedule leaves me with little time to finalize all the artwork. To add, coloring is not my strongest point and there are plenty members in this community who could do much better. That said, I am looking for another skilled digital artist to join the project who can contribute by helping me finalize the artwork by coloring in line art and critique. It would be a great pleasure and learning experience for me to work with someone on this project.
