Woah, thanks for Kusanagi. I never knew that he was still here. It has been years since I was a part of the community due to High School. When I went to find this character, I was feeling very anxious because of how old the character was.

Also, I've been unable to find any stages or screen packs from a long time ago as well. There was once an unnamed Mugen screen pack that really looked wonderful. It had the Killer Instinct Menu theme in it too. Again, not a request. I'm still looking into some old sites I used to visited and I'm getting nothing.

I'm not exactly inquiring about that. The point I am emphasizing here is the potential cumulative loss of data. While it is true that some of Ironmugen's characters have been uploaded, it's only SOME. Also, I've researched information and found that Ironmugen had left the community sometime ago.

The problems we'll be facing in the future is a really bad one if we don't prepare for it. Ironmugen's site is down, and it could be the same for others who have also left the community as well. I will warn you, it's getting harder to find good M.U.G.E.N characters if we don't salvage any of the data lost. Not even the Wayback Machine is enough to save it. It is possible to salvage data from the Wayback Machine, I downloaded a character there. However, it is possible to NOT be able to salvage data from it too. And who knows what may happen next? The Wayback Machine eventually gets shut down one day, which then means the lost of Gigabytes of M.U.G.E.N creations, whether it's a screenpack, character, stage, etc. It's substantial and unacceptable.

Hello everyone! Please take your time to read and seriously consider this post. My name is UnitedKungFuMan, and I hail from Infinity M.U.G.E.N Team as a long time member of the M.U.G.E.N community. My username at IMT is Slivern.

This is not a request thread but an issue/concern, as the title suggests, about characters released between these time periods.

Recently, I have reset my computer to factory settings and I also considered rebuilding my M.U.G.E.N roster. The problem is that many characters such as CCI Ironmugen's Kusanagi and other characters are at this point, no longer available for download. In addition, it's likely that our character database here for many characters is now out of date.

I don't know if anyone is doing anything about it, but given the fact that many people who worked on M.U.G.E.N characters have left in 2000-2009, I'm thinking that maybe some of us should work together and start a M.U.G.EN "Wayback Machine"-like that hosts characters by people who left the community. This way we can categorize these characters by creator so that everyone can download them. Once these creators return we can remove them as well. Also consider this to be a possible collaboration between the other communities out there.

Now I understand that this goes against you guy's morals regarding warehousing, but please consider putting the past aside for the sake of the availability of even some of the finest M.U.G.E.N characters released during 2000-2009. CCI Ironmugen's Kusanagi was THE perfect Kusanagi for my roster at the time I had a roster and I never had any duplicate Kusanagis by other creators since having him. During the past decade, information has also had an impact on many communities include ourselves alike, that to lose such vital data means losing a substantial portion of ANY history, including M.U.G.E.N's.

Again, please consider my outcry. At this rate, there's no way anyone's going to find any sort of variety in their rosters without these characters. They are of considerably high value not just for their age. Losing years of data could even have a negative impact on the M.U.G.E.N community itself. CCI Ironmugen's Kusanagi is over five years old now along with many other characters.

Look, I'm going to pass this message throughout some of the other M.U.G.E.N communities out there. We need to save as much data as possible before we lose it forever, even if it goes against our morals. I can no longer stand idly by as these creations end up turning into digital dust. Once again, PLEASE consider this message!

It's been 10 years since MUGEN was first released as a public beta.  And what better way to celebrate than with the engine's very first character?  But this is not the KFM we're all familiar with, this is the earliest released version of KFM edited to work on WinMUGEN.  Two attack buttons, no throw, no taunt, one special, one super, and one very lazy win pose.

Go ahead, relive the very old days ;D

I've been looking for this!

The Old KFM I'm talking about has not much moves, and has the previous sprite design.

And I'm not really new; I signed up about some days ago, and never made a post *laugh* *laugh*

So yeah, I'm requesting the Old Kung Fu Man with the old Sprite design and with not much moves.

In case you don't know what I'm talking about, here:
