Excellent work. I never even considered adding individual combos for each button (button mashing right?). That opens up a lot of ideas. I appreciate the option to choose which cmd. to use. Great work in my opinion. Good blend of spiderman powers/symbiote powers. Plus he's fun to play with. I'm gonna test his a.i. now....

Your coming in and essentially flaming everybody else who didn't post feedback in your eyes didn't help much.

Maybe. Two wrongs and all that....but there is that fire with fire thing. Maybe I was harsh. Maybe my opinion was that strong. Maybe mgmurrows hard work and creativity being picked on was the straw that broke the camels back. I've silently seen this stuff go on far too often with creators and there work. This time I voiced my opinion of some of the replies and "repliees". Back to the topic if you will. Anything else you all can PM me. Be offended if you like as it was my intention to offend some but not all i.e. "to whom it may concern". Anuses spew .... and I was a bit of an anus myself and for that I again apologize. Go get a star crunch or a sandwich or something... We'll be alright. Gnite

edit--
Thank you kindly Rajaa but I had already found the definition i.e. "....Ahhh... well said". I don't take offense to your examples. They were proper examples.

Jumping in to say...

If we wanted to fix whatever was wrong with MGMURROW's Akuma, you think we would've done so and left NO type of feedback at all?

When you're trying to give feedback on any character, keep 2 things in mind:

1. Use the character before you mention anything about that said character:
I HAVEN'T TESTED HIM YET BUT GREAT FUGGIN JOB COMPLETING A CHARACTER. PERIOD.

2. Don't let emotions or any type of stupidity blind you of what you're giving feedback on

I'm not new to this I'm just tired of people flaming creators. There was only one decent piece of feedback in any one of the quotes I mentioned in my first reply. I just played with him briefly and he really is an interesting take on the character in my opinion. I think he is globally overpowered although I like all of his moves. The adjustments are easy enough to make. Again sorry for my rudeness but I have a passion for my hobby. I'm just surprised no one else thought those comments on the creators work were harsh. It burnt me up a lil.
And rajaa what does litotic mean?  ??? I'm looking and I simply can't seem to find a decent definition yet....Ahhhh... well said.

I agree terrible attempt at an argument as to why people should attempt to make the changes they see fit. Simply put I find the difference between providing helpful feedback and putting someones HARD WORK down obvious and offensive. Therefore I referred to those people as ungrateful penis wrinkles ( meaning :"on" his or her proverbial "dick" and not appreciating their position). I mentioned Rajaaboy because YOU HELPED ME. I mentioned those other names because they were helpful to me and I have seen them help others quickly and in a friendly spirit. I apologize for my rudeness but you know what? Fuck it I'm grown and It pisses me off. I welcome you to all your opinions and I don't mean to ramble. To put it even simpler. Please respect the EFFORT it takes and support your community. GOt me?

TO all whom this applies:

"FOR THE MOST PART SOME OF YOU GUYS ARE UNGRATEFUL PENIS WRINKLES..."  <--- QOUTE ME HERE
MGMURROW GREAT FUGGIN JOB. I HAVEN'T TESTED HIM YET BUT GREAT FUGGIN JOB COMPLETING A CHARACTER. PERIOD. I'M DAMN NEAR BUSTING MY BRAIN WORKING ON MINES AND I STILL GOT A WAYS TO GO. (BUT I PROMISE HE WILL BE DOPE!) To all of you with opinions on characters and that they "should do this" or they "should do that" Anus!.... this is MUGEN! FIX THE DAMN CHARACTER HOW YOU WANT IT YOURSELF!?! READ YOUR DOCS FILE. WATCH A TUTORIAL! Don't get it yet? ASK A QUESTION. Find out who JCGamer is. Who, Laquak, Rajaa boy, Neopsyperion, etc.....( and countless others) are. Read the characters readme file and all the people the creator had to ask for help. These people will help. This is our hobby. Our community right? I'm adding SF3 parries and some other "goodies" to MY PERSONAL COPIES OF dragon soul (by neo psyperion) and chameleon (by esfandy) because I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE them. Then I'm going to SEND MY WORK TO THE CREATORS and SEE IF THEY WOULD implement it in their next release. Try something like that YOU LAZY.......phuggs! That's why no one likes to release betas I bet. I edit ALL my characters how I like em. Input is input bitching is bitching. I remember when Supermystery was quite the topic of discussion from some shit like that. It all boils down to common courtesy. Clean your faces you ANUSES!
All of his Hadouken's have hardly any recovery time and are super spammable, especially HP Hadouken.

Everything about him is broken, from his juggles (zomg he can juggle after a normal throw), to his spammable moves, his vanishing/homing Shun Goku Satsu, etc, he's just totally broke.

Like I said, he's just another overpowered shoto, Mugen has enoough of these crappy characters has it is, there is nothing interesting or unique about him. Oh, he has a SF3 mode, but he plays nothing like SF3, and he has a VS mode, but that doesn't play anything like a VS character either, and even has mechanics mixed in (Super Jump in SF3 Mode/Parrying in VS mode).
this character really needs an update a very long movelist  :-\ too complex also this char is very cheap his attacks do a lot of damage and is very unbeatable in direct fight also his techniques can be done all day repeatedly especially his hadouken in other words needs an update
He looks like he needs to go to a mental institution.

I wonder if the other people actually tried this stage...

Use floortension.  Try somewhere between 30 and 50.

I would set the zoffset line a tiny bit higher.

The background layer's delta needs to be changed.  At least the y-delta should be around .75 for a setup like this.

Based on the shadows in the background graphics, the player shadows should be small and facing opposite direction.

The color loss in the background layer is just horrendous.  This is very obvious...I don't know why no one else commented on it.  You could split the original background into multiple pieces, reduce each piece to 256 colors, and then piece them together in the def file; try a different program to reduce colors; or try the rgb split trick.

actually... no I didn't I was going off of the screenshots and the stage looks nice there. My feedback would've been far less detailed. ;) It would have most likely been limited to noobish phrases like " the rooftop in the bground looks fuzzy" or "the shadows look backwards.." since I have a sub par grasp of stage creation. I'm glad u can provide more accurate feedback tho.... and it is pretty accurate from what I can tell. I learned something myself ;D. Is there a stage editing tool by any chance? Like fighter factory is for characters? I'll post that question again in the discussion forum.....

I gotta ask seriously...why'd ya add teleport?  ???

I didn't think he needed it.

I disagree. As Akumas brother and a Master I feel he definateley needed it. I think he should have a bald head/ponytail combo too. Seriously. That's just me tho...

Now to the feedback, I assume the version I downloaded was already groomed with respect to the previous comments because he plays really well and has quickly  become one of my favorite additions to my roster...

What I did notice though was the very apparent phantom akuma sprites. (in all his dragon punches excluding the supers, in random throw animations regardless of being thrown or throwing someone, and also in his crouching block animations. )

**sidenote**The flames make the dragon punch to me. Excellent addition I suggest making it default. (I found it in his specials cns ;D)**-**,

I actually don't mind doing the edits myself for my own private use and its good practice for my character projects but for others it may not be as convenient. Like now I'm teaching myself how to light/shade since I never really learned to draw. So I intend to light/shade the dragon punch sequence with respect to the flames from his fist.

First attempt

Original Sprite

That's all I got for you for now. Sorry. All the minor damage concerns and command issues I had I changed myself and forgot all that I did to tell u the truth... :)

I do recall adding d,d  a+c to the commands for the shin ryu kick and adding d,df,f  a+c to the shinryuken. I have these buttons right next to each other and was wondering why you left that combination out...

Also u should mention somewhere that his combinations go from light attack, to medium attack, to fierce attack no matter punch or kick or crouching and also that they can mix it up (punches &kicks). I thought he couldn't combo well until I discovered that.

Great character tho. I think your feed back from here should just get better....
The others may have been tougher but they do good work and probably are just trying to get your work even better.

I thought that this discussion was about small characters in general, and the author just put chibi in the title (he's using it wrong, especially since he then talked about GBA characters).........
[snip]

I agree but I also asked for clarification on the subject.

C 8) 8) l as a breeze. See I can dig that. As far as I am concerned I got my answer. Sure, there is a reason/want for the characters. There are whole rosters full of 'em. Me, Im just not a chibi enthusiast tho.... I prefer the large, animated, exagerated details... It makes the visuals more complex and engaging to me and I enjoy the fight more. Sure, there are well-made fun chibi characters, but as a gamer I have my preference. Now as a coder I  might consider giving one a try!

Thanks ya'll

HEY!! I got The Characters from greetlock and guess what? They are pretty frickin cool if u ask me   ;D Lol They are primarily edits of the original creators work of course but are different enough to warrant their own identity. I like what he's done to the characters, you can see his attempt to make his characters stand apart. From the portraits to the palletes to some of the attacks to their gameplay. Yea, Sulfur is Venom.......if he was made of liquid fire and liked to burn people with it as much as he could.  :sugoi: Evil Sagat is a powered up version of Sagat with fierce-button-induced melee/projectile combo abilities and some decent hypers.
Sure there are some animation bugs and a couple more bugs here and there but I think he showed initiative and really just a want to create his own characters and with time and support will most likely get better and eventually create his own great originals!

I'm going to get back with some more specific feedback in a minute I want to test them a little more first.

Right off the back tho sagats random charge up (where he flashes white as if being energized) seems annoyingly erratic and sounds like he is being hit so it's a bit confusing

Why, is there a reason to still want normal-sized characters rather than chibi characters ? ???

By my observations (limited as they may be) the majority of the new releases are full sized characters. I might be seeing that because I am partial to full size (normal-size) characters. They are, in my opinion more versatile and fun to battle with. Chibi characters seem monotonous (excluding gem/pocketfighters). I believe this is partially due to coding concerns based on other members posts. I figure there would be a want for more versatile, engaging characters....especially now seeing the new characters being released i.e. seven, demon akuma, sulfur, evil sagat, rockhoward by vyn etc... So when I see a release post and its a chibi i just skip over it...

There were only 3 chibi's that stayed on my roster for an extended period of time. Tiger Mask's Renamon and Veemon, and Drowin's Kos-Mos. While I've long since deleted the digimon due to space constraints, I still liked them.

Man, I wish I had something bigger than a 40 GB HD.

I feel u on the HD restraints..I couldn't tell u how many times I've played the "shuffle the Gigs game" with my external...Lol...I stick to my story though...Chibi free is the way for me! I had future Neji at one point I even tried to enlarge his pixels in his CNS....XD I just let'em go...

It's the pixelated two three button characters that kill it for me. I have short characters. Menelikke, megaman's', protoman, zeroe's',roll, master roshi, servbot etc... but they aren't really chibi right? Like Anbu kakashi and alot of the bleach characters  (WHICH TICK ME OFF CUZ THEY COULD BE. SO MUCH... ..) those are chibi right? And Gem Fighters/pocket fighters Are the shit I got pocket ken, dan, zangief, and chunli. (Tho not in my roster I can't seem to throw them away!) Maybe I have the definition off? Anyhelp?

Sorry, jus a lil misunderstanding there quickdraw.  :) (lighten up!) I didn't mean anything by it. I meant if u needed bgms they were readily available. I wasn't sure how to get them to you though. Lol As far as managing the files is concerned, do u receive the music and stage seperately? Like at different times? I normally get them together so I see your prob..... That would be hard to determine without having played the game before... Again u could check out those sites I was mentioning, look for your stage(s) and see what music they have? Depending on how many stages u need to arrange that could be a hell of a task....sorry

Do you guys like to go with orginal BGM's for stages or do you mix it up and add your kind of music to your liking? I like to keep my bgms'd in folders and arrange them to the original stages but its very hard considering I don't own all  fighting games. What I usaully do when I don't own certain games is search for video clips on youtube to find out. Is there a easier way to do this?... say a database of some sort? Recently I'm trying to match some guilty gear stages with their respective bgms but it's so hard because I only own Accent Core for the ps2.

There are plenty of websites that have tons of bgms. Although I'm really not sure if I can list them. I think they would be considered warehouzed? If thats not the case somebody lemme kno. There are TONS out there. XD

I prefer a mix of both actually. It's fun to me to update my bgms so the music is current. I'll choose something off the radio or one of my beats or whatnot since I am a music producer. Some of the original bgms are pretty good tho. My intro/ charselect screen is custom too (currently Outkast for both).
