This K' is really amazing!   ;D
Makes the one I'm still working on look not so good now.  ^_^;;;;

The only problem I noticed is probably just a personal opinion, but I think the voice sounds a bit too muffled.  Other than that, everything else about this K' you've created is top notch.  Thank you for releasing such a great character.   :)

And that's one of my favorite KOF songs to listen to.  Good recommendation.   ;)
I use the KOF2006/KOFMI2 song Melancholic Minotaur/Gloom of the Cow Man for the K' I'm working on.   :)

I've been working very hard on my English K' character since I last posted here so I got a lot more things done now.  More attacks have been added in as well as many of the KOF2006 combos.  Also made 12 different palettes already (most based on holiday colors and my favorite color combo, green and purple).

I added in a special fight intro when English K' is fighting another K' character.  It's kind of a silly fight intro 'cuz English K' will say "What?  What's going on here?"

I also gave him a power charging move.

I also added in a lot of evasive dodging moves 'cuz I want this K' to be fun to play as, and I always wanted K' to have these abilities.  I added in things such as double jumping, wall jumping (back to the wall and facing the wall), and air dashing (back and forward).

But I did have a lot of trouble getting the wall jumping and air dashing just right.  With the wall jumping I wanted it so it shows the animations of English K' clinging to the wall just before jumping off it.  After a lot of code tweaking I finally got it right.
As for the air dashing, the problem was English K' was able to do multiple air dashes from a single jump.  I wanted it so he can only do one air dash per jump.  Once again after a lot of code tweaking I got it right.

Last thing I added in is the staggering.  I know Guilty Gear characters can make the opponent stagger so when I was testing my English K' against Muteki's Testament, I noticed English K' wasn't staggering right.  So I added in the animations for staggering and recovering from a stagger along with K''s throw escape voice to it.

Check out the first post here to see the updates that have been added to the list of what's done and what will be done later (updates are in red) and to see the 2 new screen captures I added showing the power charging and forward air dash (English K' is in his darker normal palette I gave him - Color Palette 4).

I just tried out this Guile and I think it's very good.   ;D

The only thing I noticed is that when the computer controls him, he disappears quite often while he's jumping.  Don't know if that's supposed to happen or not.

And all this was done in one weekend?  I'm impressed.  I sure can't wait to see what changes Nio will be making to this Guile.   ;)

keep it up girl... if none of use implement something different, those cretions will be like "clones" of other chars.

I always try to do the same, and a perfect example comes to my mind...GUile Xi by thedge....he released him yesterday because he wants to work on Alex (from SF3) SvC version....so I tell him (is a friend of mine)...release him as a beta, then I download him and change all his sprites...

but is a nice Guile...why I have to change his sprites....well....to make it different from the rest, not like any other SvC char with dreamcancels :P

GIRL...keep your work, doesn´t matter if people seems not interested, there always be people (like me) who appreciate edits and changes...

The main reason I'm creating this character is for myself.  But if other people also like it, then that's great.  ^_^

And Nio, I'm glad you also appreciate different changes with characters.  Maybe later I'll give Guile XI a try.   ;)

Plus I admire people who can edit and change many sprites to create different looks and moves for characters.  I tried it and it's not that easy for me.

Wait for your decision when more people state their opinions about it.

Okay then.  If more people like this idea than dislike it, then I'll reconsider.

It's just that I already know that most people don't like the English voice option.  But hey, I wanted to make something that will be different from all the rest, that's all.

Oh, and to aceman33, I am a female, not a bro.   ;)

Anyway, no.  No British accent.  Billy had the British accent.

And yeah, I was expecting not many people to like this idea so that's okay.  Thanks for the feedback and replies though.  I guess I won't be releasing this character to the public then.
    

English K' WIP

Hello, I'd like to let you all know that I'm working on making an English speaking K' for MUGEN.  I used PSound on my King of Fighters 2006 PlayStation 2 game and got all of K''s English voice samples and dialogue from it.  And since most of the MUGEN K' characters I've downloaded speak in Japanese, I was inspired to create one that speaks in English.  So this K' I'm creating will use his English voice and sound effects from KOF2006.

I know that most people don't really like the English KOF voices from Maximum Impact and KOF2006.  But I prefer the English voices over the Japanese ones.  Not only 'cuz I can understand what they're saying, but it's also 'cuz I just like K''s English voice a lot since he sounds really cool and cute in English.  ^_^

K' is my favorite VG character and he's practically the only one I will play as in KOF2006.  And yep, I'm a female.  ^_~

Anyway, when I first started on my English K' character (which was on January 20, 2008), I was a total newbie at making a MUGEN character.  But I read up on it and now I'm slowly getting the hang of how things work each time I add something new (though I still get stuck quite a bit when it comes to the CNS coding).

And I am using the K' sprite pack that K.O.D made available at this forum.  It's been a really big help to me with this project.  Thanks K.O.D!  ^_^
I'm also using K' sprites I've captured myself using Kawaks and some from the KOFXI sprite pack at the MugenChina Forum to get the sprites I need that weren't in the sprite pack that K.O.D made.  And don't worry, I will give credit to where the sprites come from.

I also want it so this K' fights similar to how he does in KOF2006 (at least that's what I'm trying to do).

So, this is what I got done so far with English K' (I'll put down which K' English voice sample I used for each thing).  And screen captures are shown of the versus portrait, Fight Intro 1, and Fight Intro 2.





WHAT'S DONE

I'll work on the special moves and super moves way later since those will probably take me a lot of time to figure out since I'm still new at this.

I also plan to add in my own personal touches to this K' like him kicking a colorful beach ball for an attack just like in Tekken 3's Tekken Ball Mode (which is where my screen name and online avatar came from).  ^_~
I have other weird ideas like that I want to add but I'll worry about those when I get to them.
