quickly made some possible improvements of what are only nitpickings of course - these are really great animations

http://imgur.com/a/kaS4I

animation#1 has a slightly more exaggerated start up phase
animation#2 has that exact frame added in your animation making the attack timing kind of interesting
animation#3 changed the arm (if it was meant to be a decoy attack with the right fist, then I'm sorry), the hight of Diepods left shoulder during the hook and some small

also I just noticed that in the punch "downish" the arm could use some work on the inbetween back to the stance (thats a fast edit there)

good work anyways! keep rocking

OLD MFG Treasures/ Dragonball vs. Naruto

Hey guys, I've been here for a long time and I remember some dude starting a game of Dragonball vs Naruto literally years ago (around 2004). First it was a Dragonball only game and then he made it a crossover game. The sprites were big, very stylized (hardly any shades if I remember right) and from scratch. He posted a few screenshots and then left into the unknown. Does anybody remember that & do by chance someone still has those screenshots?

just some fast edits you should work on
- I'd turn the left leg/knee (spriters view) more inward - therefore the foot turns outwards (with the heel to the left)
- I'd turn the right leg/knee more outwards to show more anticipation
- You should always align the feet first thinking about how and where the weight/balance is kept on during the move, from there on I always place the hip and legs and then the head to make sure it is a continous, life like animation before further editing it.
- Seeing how many frames you use for the attack you need two more frames:
--> one I quickly made with copy/paste moving - a stop movement frame
--> another inbetween frame from the punch to the stance (which I quickly generate with PS inbetween to show where it is missing)

I hope that helps and you are not offended by my critic

The sprites look magnificient. Following your long path from the way early ZGTEAM times, it has been a great pleasure seeing your hard work and dedication to bringing all these characters to life (over and over again - if you count all the sheets you made multiple times haha). I truely admire your effort (knowing that you had gone through hard private times inbetween as well makes it even more outstanding).

On a way different note, Benhazard created the Piccolo sprites right? Also didn't he work on C16 in that style too?

Also do you plan to do anything with these full sheets you created/edited? Or with all the other unused stuff?

BTW. I'd love to see a compilation of all the sheets you ever made! There most be about 5 gokus at least haha

I'm not sure what you're asking HQ. I guess they are snug enough to stay on with out a belt. Also you screen might just be too bright.

just thought it looked like the tight shirt is over the pants. Turns out that was no question haha

So much personality!
Also, I do love the boots design for the blonde character.

I have never noticed but how does Bluestreak's pants stick to his body?

also I messed with the colours as they show up kinda overly bright on my end (which could be intentioned)

Looks a tad to pillow shaded  & the folds dont make that much sense to me.

Also if you get into animating, try to have some basic rules you keep while drawing, you could easily create the upper leg and then go crazy with the folds on the lower leg starting after drawing the big fold that is created by the knee (see mini tutorial in the middle of the sprites).

I like what you are doing, yet there is still big room for animation improvement! Some of the transistions look very choppy in the video (could also be blamed on the video I guess) but seeing the animations you showed I made very fast copy/paste/move around changes (around 5 minutes each) you should look into in order to make the existing animations smoother/dynamic. It was really bothering me how GA shoots the arrows ---> the second image was generated with ps inbetween - it shows where another frame is needed to make it look good.

(the edit would need another head where I just placed the one different)

also a possible stance idea:

+ one frame and some small adjustments will get you this ;)

also I dont know much about GA in general but following attacks could make him more dynamic.

Arrow with a Rope --> Bow Launcher, Have a Trick Arrow with a Rope that immediatelly pulls back the opponent, whether in Air or on Ground
Arrows that nails down the opponent just like what you did with the net but the arrows stick half way into the opponent.
Arrow that sticks to wall that GA can bounce jump off giving him the air advantage for his arrows

ok, seeing what is legal, makes me wonder how people feel save around people that think they need a machine gun, or whatever these guns are, for shopping...

Guys, running from the cops does not allow them to kill you. Lethal force is supposed to only be used if you are presenting a threat to someone, not if you arent obeying them.

Not what I was implying. Just wondering what caused him to run away. To me, being not a US-citizen, the behaviour of the people shot (Brown, this guy and the 12year old kid), contradicts to what I would consider to be a normal reaction seeing a police man show up. I know the current discussion is all about racism, but in all these cases people did something that could have gone in the other direction too (- they could have hurt others, including the police, whether it may been with a gun or sword). To me this is clearly no legitimiate reason to shoot somebody down, yet I dont see the whole guilt on the police - there have been lots of incidents with people going crazy with guns so people expect the worst. If somebody runs or fights back that can probably lead to the wrong decision path easily. I dont know enough about US laws about carrying around weapons, but it sure is weird to fiddle them around in public, at people & the police.

Why was he running away to begin with? or did I miss that in the video?

.....I think am more close of Z2 style..
[/URL]

There's some improvement, but you really should take a look at the corrections I made on the old edit - pose, arms, leg positions,etc...:
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

Also for a stance Rugal's works really good (as also seen on Roken's magnificent Brolly)
--> Proof: http://youtu.be/JnPbMzYgHZE?t=2m7s

also a fast walk edit from SuperSonic Warriors with copy paste - yeah needs major work, especially head movement! I added two frames to the original 6, but it could be an easy base seeing how you could resize some movements from SuperSonic Warriors to 220% & then after that the legs to 110%

okay, final version, think I really outdid myself on this.

love it - BUT the pillars should have different sizes (bigger in the front) and a different position according to the perspective of the whole stage.

I'm aware that this is in progress and that you probably see all its possible improvements, yet I made some fast changes (especially the legs, feet) to show some possible direction for an even better outcome.

Thanks^^^ I'm doing my best to get better (and to keep this thread alive). Here's another one I'm working on. Can't seem to get the boots to look right >:(     Buu charging his ghost move. Looks pretty funny out of context.

I havent yet studied Z2 style/shading, but maybe this can help you improve your sprite a bit - it was a fast dirty edit:
