Since it was an older game I thought the sprites would be in files that could be easily read.  There are some cool .avi files of Richard O' Brien singing acoustic songs and Christopher Lee as the narrator in there as well as MIDI's of the Rocky Horror songs.  However, in the data directory there are files for the rooms and characters in .psf files, but I wasn't able to figure out how to open or convert them.

I remember trying to rip some of the sprites for Real Fighter.  The game ran too fast for me to get anything.  The funny thing is that everything else in the game was easy to find and edit (The backgrounds are pcx files that can be colored out, the music and voices are all in the "DWD" files) so I thought the graphics were somewhere.  The game was horrible, but the sprites ripped here are pretty good for what they are.  The original game was badly programmed, but you could clearly tell what moves they were trying to rip off.

Seeing that this board is up, I may well post about one of my UFGE games.  Real Fighter pretty much started out as MK characters vs Street Fighter the Movie characters.  Then I found some sprites from Survival Arts, Tattoo Assassins, Pit Fighter and other games and added them in.  All characters play like Street Fighter.  I know this isn't as good as some of the mugen projects out there, but I hope some people will get some enjoyment out of it.

I'm actually updating this right now, because I have discovered some unused animations for MK2 floating around from the MK Mugen works site, as well as seeing N.'s cheat list (and him helping me out with some requests) and some general brainstorming.  I actually have some characters done and hope to update this thread in the future.

Because Armageddon kinda stagnated the franchise.  MK9 introduced a new engine with a nostalgia-fest to get the fans back after some missteps with the last few games.  Now that they're back, they can now do what they originally wanted with MK now re-established.

I remember when I made those sprites a long time ago for my UFGE projects, and they were used for a very sub-standard character.

This creation makes up for it, though.  Some awesome work there!

I've had a lot of experience back in the day with sprite ripping (for example, using a screen capture program for the PC version of MK1 and figuring out what pallette values were for the character), and although Artmoney may take a bit for me to get used to.  I could get used to using it as I use more of the program.

Also, for what it's worth, I did a quick check with Jackie Chan codes you posted and it actually looks possible to get the sprites cleanly without changing the background color, since the sprites don't seem to use 0,0,0.  Admittedly, I just did this for Mysterious Lion, but it's really good.

Too bad about Blood Warrior though.  Those sprites were the ones I really wanted to get, since it had a lot of the stuff in a campy live action game that I love.

I tried Artmoney before, but it was a bit confusing and overwhelming at times.  I could give it another attempt though so the tables may be useful.

After thinking about it, all I really would need is the background removal mods for what I need.

I wanted to ask for some requests since JNP's request was granted, and there were a several games I wanted to rip from.  I wanted to know if you could make similar codes for Blood Warrior, Wrestlemania: Arcade, and Jackie Chan: Fists of Fire.

I remember making those sprites a very long time ago.  I originally made them for one of my SFR SNK style projects back in the day.  However, I don't think they really fit in with the Capcom characters.  One thing I was going to do but never got to do was to redo that set using Dampir's B Jenet set that he released a while back.

Those are my sprites from my abandoned M Fighter project for the UFGE engine, but I thought I open sourced them anyways so it's all good.  All I want a quick line in the readme giving credit.  I like what you've done with the character so far, and I'm glad that the Capcom Punisher arcade color pallete is in there :).

Thanks for sharing the news of this release. Producing the Special Edition was very important to me, and I was fortunate enough to sit down with the original developers in Taipei and share our results with them. They loved it.

I hope you are all enjoying the game as well. :)

I remember you from the old days of the SFibm and SFR message boards (used to post there under the name "Maximoff").  Excellent job with the game.  You are a better man than I.

For.  There are some non-mugen projects I have made that I want to post about to get some feedback (good and bad) from this group, and for some reason it kind of felt arrogant to post it in the fighting game section.  Sort of like saying my goofy ass patchwork fighters are as good as commercial products.

This is one of the best Mugen projects I have seen.  The new characters in the MvC style are edited to fit in perfectly.
