MY TOES! Custom Character Animation (anim 5886)
Custom Animation

This is the hopping on one foot animation from the classic TMNT videogames. The animation consists of three frames with the character clutching their hurt foot, the sprites are aligned so that the third is higher than the previous two to simulate hopping. Animation timing is 5 ticks, 5 ticks, 10 ticks respectively. There's no CLSN needed on this animation.

This custom animation is used when hit by Super Shredder's Flame attack.  If your character lacks anim 5886 they will be transferred to the custom burned hit state and Shredder will use their custom burned animation (anim 7697 or anim 9015)  if it is available. If the character lacks anim 7697 and anim 9015, another animation made with universal gethit frames will be used instead.

At least this show got the sendoff it deserved, with the creator back at its helm and his vision being portrayed onscreen instead of the imitation that was "the gasleak year". I've got to say with all of the downsides of Chevy and Donald's departure, Harmon and McKenna were able to pull off an incredibly fun to watch season with some of the funniest episodes of the entire run in my opinion. Troy has been my favorite character and I was in great doubt that there'd be stories left with the rest of the ensemble but damn was I proven wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed season 5 and if that meteor that Abed foretold of seems to have finally decimated Greendale, taking all human life along with it then so be it. Really feels like a dick move that they pulled it one season short of the viral fan campaign's #sixseasonsandamovie though... I think a lot of it had to do with Harmon's larger creative control / re-negotiated contract that his return to season 5 gave him; (notice the end title cards no longer have Russo Brothers but instead are Dan Harmon's "Harmonious Claptrap" production company). Soulless corporate group-think wins again.

If anybody's looking to make the sting go away by taking in another brilliant sitcom that has returned to the airwaves under a new moniker after it was previously axed by NBC, I suggest you guys check out Playing House on USA

Welcome back(Kinda) Bro! and yea sorry i havent been uploading videos of your Shredder or Krang, was just playing as so much other chars lol. i still upload videos using your turtles though, i uploaded one using Leo not too long ago.,but for you ill get around to uploading a video using Shredder and Krang. i did however submit a short combo with Shredder to Ding`s combo compilation so hopefully it makes it.

@ City_Hunter, thanks for the kind words and the video clip. Glad to see you gave a crack at it, I've heard talk that people find Krang one of my more difficult characters to use effectively. Y'all motivated me to post this quick demo of Krang showing off what's possible, PRO TIP: you can dash forward out of those missile attacks to continue your combos, dawgs.

Dude's got Citadel Guardian blood + Sentient Cursed Grass Blade dna swirling inside him now. So much for Jake being the powerful one.

what master splinter sprites should it be based off of if dcat's gonna make master splinter next? also what specials and supers will master splinter have?

As a base for Splinter I was considering using these Nam sprites. With considerable editing of course.
I'd really want to incorporate a special that pays homage to that woodbreaking animation from the opening titles of the 80's cartoon. Also I'd be sure to include something to do with the bow and arrow weapon that came with the playmates toy and a hideaway dagger in his walking stick.

About mugen matches videos, I have some old ones on my channel, not much of a cool combo video, just some casual matches :)

I love your Shredder vs Turtles video really showcases all the cool things that Shredd head can do, its one of my favorites. Krang could use a similar treatment, there's severe lack of his special intros out there on interweb-net-videoland.  ;) ;)

welcome back from the dead, what character are you gonna work on next?


I was thinking I should really finish Sketch Turner it'd take a massive sprite overhaul though since I did such a weird job with the palette the first time. Splinter is probably the next best bet once I get more time though.

Hi again from the mugen graveyard. To anyone out there who remembers or cares you all might have noticed I'm still not back in any official capacity just yet. Like most inactive mugen has-beens I like to lurk around here and youtube, googling my old stuff when I've got access to a machine.
Long story short, I'm bored with watching the same old clips of my characters and stages and want to watch some newer clips:D

To any of my fellow MFG alumnae, I've got a few simple youtube requests if you've got nothing better to do in-between what I'm assuming to be your rigorous schedule of "crushing-it daily & having full on sex with models", if you're  willing to indulge me;

I want to be able to edit the pages in the CMS and view them live instead of solely having to click to the external website to see the changes, I hope this makes sense.  I want to find the best free CMS that allows me to do this. Hey guys this is my mega TMNT characters update. Shredder and Krang aren't at 100% yet but I've been having pc issues that may make it quite some time before I'm able to properly complete them so I may as well show what I've got.
All of these characters are only for Mugen 1.0, there may be bugs or errors still as well. Please let me know.

Put the opponent into a custom state. Dr. Kelexo made a custom state that's similar to what you're after for his Deathmask character, I recommend you take a look at that. If the opponent lacks the special stuck in ground Anim 5888 they are scaled so that they appear squashed. I'll be including this compatibility in my upcoming turtle characters as well.



5888 - Stuck In Ground
A general 'stuck in ground' state. Used for Deathmask's (by DrKelexo) Hammer Throw move, but could probably be used by something else in the future most likely. Pretty much just one sprite with a tick of 1.

This is why i like people to use proper editing programs to make their palettes.

@Cyanide:
My Irfanview + Fighter Factory method is what I like since its relatively simple and my trials for Photoshop & Paintshop expired long ago, I understand its not for everyone, I never was very saavy with those proper editing programs though.

@BowserKoopa:
Since you have PaintShop Pro it 'd probably be easiest to do a Batch Palette conversion. Here's my old guide from like 2011 on how to apply a color palette to sprites. You'll most likely have to do this for your sprites since you mentioned you re-organized the palette, this should save you lots of time.

The steps involved

1).Make sure that the .PNG file has 256 colors in it and you've designated your transparency color in the right position.
2).Load up that .PNG file in Paint Shop Pro and save its palette as something memorable "ryupal"
3).Apply the ryupal to the other images you have yet to add to the .SFF so they'll all have the same colors.
Note: you can cut down on the time it'd take to apply the palette to each image by hand by instead recording a Script and using that to run a Batch process on all the sprites at the same time .

How To do a Batch Palette Application
Open the .PNG file in Paint Shop Pro, then click on File > Script > Start Recording
Now you will begin recording your script (this means that all of the keystrokes and actions you perform will be recorded). Next go to Image > Load Palette and select the "ryupal" you saved before. Make sure the nearest color matching bullet is marked and click Load.
Now that you've recorded the necessary action its time to stop the recording. Go to File > Script > Save Recording and save it as a memorable name "ryupalscript"

Now its time for the Batch part:
Go to File > Batch Process
Then click the Browse button to navigate to the proper folder directory and select all of your un-added character sprites by holding down the SHIFT key
Under Save Options:
-select the filetype to save the new images as .PCX
-select the folder to save them in by clicking the lower Browse button

Once you've got everything set, click Start and sit back as all of your sprites are converted quickly and easily to the same 256 color, shared palette .PCX format, conveniently ready to be added to the .SFF.
