My only possible guess....
...

Did you press "Q" when trying to select Arcade, Versus, etc?

Usually that causes Winmugen to quit out and give an error message. Otherwise I dunno.

What, wow. Yeah, that seems to be it. One of the default keys is Q and that's what I've been using, so I find another key to use and now the whole thing is doing just fine.

Error Message: # -- Suddenly on all MUGEN's I play

I wasn't sure where to post this, so I'm sorry if it's in the wrong spot, but to my problem;

I downloaded a couple of MUGEN packs, just little games with "250+ characters 60+ stages" and all that stuff, to have some fun without really having to look all over the place. It took a few hours but when I got these packs I unrar'd them and played them, simply said. Everything was smoothly, did some warming up on my favorite fighters in the Training room and rolled some Arcade action, I was satisfied except for the key combinations on my favorite character in question, Tetsu Yatogi.

So, I decided I would alter them. How to execute the special movies, what buttons to press, that deal. I've done it before it was no problem so I load it up and it's still good, however this pack in question was set to run in Windowed Mode by default and here's where my problems started;

I wanted fullscreen, so I modify the configuration to run Fullscreen, and not Windowed. That's when I got these errors. The way it works is, I can get to the menu, but if at any time I select Arcade, Versus, Training, or basically anything but Options (on some cases), I get errors like

"Error Message 1", and that's all it says. Right when said error happens, MUGEN closes immediately and I get the classic deal from Windows "winmugen.exe blah blah blah forced to shutdown."

So I'm like, well..That's weird. I guess I can't run fullscreen? So I modify it to be back to Windowed and yet the problem persists. Maybe I broke something, I thought, so I deleted the folder entirely, emptied my recycle bin, rebooted my computer, and re-unrar'd said pack. I didn't even modify Tetsu this time, I wanted to make sure I was rid of this problem and to my surprise I wasn't. It would still give me Error Message: #...

In frustration I delete the folder once again, re unRAR the pack to be default to what it was -- the way it was when it played, and it still wasn't working properly in the least. Still the same errors, at the same areas.

So I think to myself I must've SOMEHOW broke that pack entirely, so because I fortuneately downloaded 2 different packs and not just 1, I move onto the second only to get the grim display that the error is also present on the second pack. This cannot be.

I delete both, download COMPLETELY DEFAULT MUGEN, and I get this same error on that, as well.

So basically:

* I download 2 MUGEN packs.

* Both play properly.

* I modify one to be fullscreen and not windowed mode.

* Error Message: # begins.

* Error Message: # is seemingly an unsolvable problem as no amount of deleting, re-"installing", and rebooting would rid of it on what appears to be -any- MUGEN pack, including the barebones default MUGEN.

* Nothing on google has anything to say about this error except "redo your folder you messed with something in DATA" yet I've kinda done that five times over now...

Does anyone know anything I can do about this?
