Re: a second problem with stage 0 alias the TRAININGROOM!

July 24, 2009, 03:29:29 am View in topic context

I think this happens when you use a low-resolution level for the Hi-Res. version of M.U.G.E.N.

If that's not the case, perhaps it is one of the characters causing the problem? If it's not occurring on any other levels with the same characters, then it must be stage0 itself that is the problem.

Hope that helped at least a bit, eheheh.

Good luck solving the problem!

Help Setting Up Type-Moon Unlimited Screenpack by Nanayashiki (Please Help!)

July 23, 2009, 06:30:21 am View in topic context

I apologize if this has already been asked!

For those who are currently using/have used this Screenpack, your assistance is highly appreciated as well!

I have recently downloaded (and extracted) the Type Moon Unlimited Screenpack by Nanayashiki.

I placed the folder, called 'Type Moon Unlimited' in the M.U.G.E.N data folder.

The folder contains no ReadMe file, nor does it contain a thorough explanation as to exactly how to use the Screenpack.

This is what the Type Moon Unlimited contains:
  • Portraits (Folder)
[The Portraits folder contains PCX and PSD files, that are only necessary for portrait making, I’m not worried about that at the moment. :P])
  • 2.sff
  • credits.txt
  • Fate-BAD_END.def
  • Fate-BAD_END.sff
  • gameover.ogg
  • Main3.fnt
  • Mian.fnt
  • open.def
  • select.def
  • select.ogg
  • select124.def
  • system.def
  • system.snd
  • system2.sff
  • system124.def
  • title.ogg
  • VS.ogg

As you can see the select and system .def files are then split to either select.def/select124.def, or system.def/system124.def, (which, I am assuming is for the extra slots for characters, since Nanayashiki stated in his/her main mugen-infantry site that they updated the slots available for characters.) So clearly I’m lost.

The .ogg files are for audio purposes, which I can figure out on my own.
And also, the TMUlifebar folder was important for this, as it is ‘required’; So I downloaded that as well, and this folder is currently located in the regular M.U.G.E.N folder (I’m not sure whether or not I am supposed to put it in the ‘data’ folder, if someone can clarify this for me, I’d appreciate it.)

(I wanted to use the Virtual Fighter 5 lifebar that was created by ZedzDead, but I failed miserably at attempting to get it up, so I feel that if I get assistance, I’ll be able to figure out how to get the VF5 Lifebar in the game after I try with the TMU Lifebar.)

This is what the TMUlifebars folder contains:

  • common.snd
  • fight.def
  • fightfx.air
  • fightfx.sff
  • mbac_Combo.fnt
  • mbac_Combo2.fnt
  • mbac_fight3.sff
  • mbac_time.fnt
  • NAME.fnt
  • pwrbar.fnt
  • trace2.snd

I’ve watched numerous videos about applying the Screenpacks, but it’s a little hard to follow them when the Screenpacks are not the same. I also tried the FAQ on this website, but the same issue applied.

Would anyone be able to assist me and tell me, step by step, exactly how to apply the Screenpacks?

Also, as you can see, I am new to all of this; Including M.U.G.E.N; I’m already starting to get into the groove of things, such as palette editing, stage downloading/adding, character adding/installing, etc., etc.; it’s just the vast diversity of the Screenpacks and Lifebar add-ons that make installing them into M.U.G.E.N more difficult for some people than others. Unfortunately, I’m one of the few people it’s a little difficult for, heheh; So please, do take it easy on me if this is one of those ‘So easy a caveman could do it’ kind of things.

Again, help is really, really, really appreciated, and thank you for taking the time to read this and assist me!
