I just want a retcon explaining how all the time turners got destroyed prior to Voldemort getting resurrected. A time travel device gets introduced in book 3 and no one thinks to use it when the most powerful dark wizard of all time comes back.

I prefer posting on the forum because, one, it's physically easier for me to do, and two, it's kinda weird for you to act one way publicly and another privately! I don't see why you're so concerned about your "public" appearance because that just makes shit harder in the end. Just keep your personality consistent and be truthful and you have nothing to worry about!

And yeah, like I said, I'm not about to tell you how you should talk if I'm trying to unwind. I know it sounds rude and blunt, but I am using my time there for recreation, and telling you to fix a minor personality tic is not recreation.

In summary, I won't tell you that what you're doing is wrong, but don't try so hard to say it's the opposite.

For once, Byakko hit the nail on the head for me! I don't really bring it up because it's really not that big of a deal to get into a squabble over. It's just who you are, like I'm that dude who keeps talking about Wes Anderson and FNaF.

He wasn't making allegations, he was saying you never said anything to him about it being to the point where it was done enough to joke about it. I honestly don't see it either, you tend to say one thing on guild and then are totally different on irc in general. It's like you're trying to play a part in one place and then randomly speak out about it here.
Well for starters, I barely say... anything on IRC. I mostly use it for the aforementioned private conversations.

Second, setting is different. I tend to not go on IRC unless it's later in the day and I'm almost ready for bed. Guild, I can access pretty much anywhere, like in-transit to work. What this means is that when I'm on IRC, I'm less likely to talk out because, well, I want to just chill and unwind.

Third, I dunno if you noticed but I haven't been on IRC a lot lately. Part of it is me house-sitting, but also because it's almost not worth it at this point because most of everyone I talk to there has another way to contact (ie: Steam, Gmail, etc etc). No offense to everyone on chat who I don't talk to but is still otherwise a cool guy/gal.

Mind you I said if it's true. But that would be the only way anyone else had an issue with what I talk about. Hell I afk 90% of the time in general so if this was really a problem I doubt you'd be the first to say something. And yes saying that in some shape or form would have been nice rather than just saying it to yourself but oh well
Judging by the thread so far, I doubt me telling you would've been any different.

What am I going to do, say "Yo kame, cut that shit out?"

Also where did these allegations of secret conversations come from? The only secret conversations I have are Ebil_Homer linking me to video game music and Rabite showing me obscure famicom games and The_None keeping me abreast of the latest internet celebrity drama.

I'm obviously exaggerating of course, and yeah MUGEN doesn't come up a whole lot in chat, but when it does, let's just say that it's happened enough for me to joke about it.

hi jango why are you so shit at making ddr stepfiles? hahaha just joshing around of course, but anyway, why did you think aerosmith would be good for dance dance revolution, let alone with so many misplaced jumps in your chart
Auuuuuuuuuugh mommy make it stop please! Seriously though, holy shit that was like... 9 years ago? Damn I'm getting old.

Then again Kamekaze has been doing his "I'm the best coder" shtick several times with other people as well, to the point of getting obnoxious.
Well thank god you're not on IRC. It's like pulling the string on a Woody doll, but instead of "SOMEBODY HAS POISONED THE WATER HOLE" or "THERE'S A SNAKE IN MY BOOT," you get "I GOT THE PHYSICS OF STREET FIGHTER EX PERFECTLY AND IF THERE'S A BUG, IT WAS PRESENT IN THAT GAME TOO" or "POTS STYLE IS SO BROKEN COMPARE TO KAME-GROOVE"

I was going to make a comment about Kamekaze doing it enough to the point that it's difficult to figure out if it's sarcasm or not, but ever since I heard Kamekaze's voice I can't help but read everything he types in that voice and it is fucking sexy. I bet if I gave Kamekaze a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch and asked him to read the ingredients to me, my knees would be buckling from the sweet, sweet sound of him talking about fake-ass shit in cereal.

UselessLurker told me to watch this movie months ago and I finally got around to it.

Scanners

It's 1981, and the world's population contains a very small population of humans known as "scanners" who have grotesque telekinetic powers, which cause them to become social misfits and develop schizophrenia. A homeless bum named Cameron Vale is one of these scanners, and he is picked up by the mysterious Dr. Paul Ruth who teaches him how to control his powers. He is immediately tasked with a mission to bring down a rogue scanner named Darryl Revok, who is trying to bring down Dr. Ruth's company and its operations.

Anyone who has been on the internet for at least a good amount of time has seen at least one scene from this movie (this one, warning NSFW). That being said, there are quite a few iconic scenes in this movie that are a lot more impressive (although I can't go over them because they contain massive spoilers). The practical effects somehow manage to look both totally fake and really cool at the same time, inspiring both laughs and queasiness at the same time. I can't really describe the feeling. Another thing I have to give credit to is the movie's use of sound. You can never tell when you're getting a suspenseful music cue or if it's a scanner scanning someone. Sometimes it feels like the scanner is scanning you, and it's quite trippy. It manages to make moments that look like overacting actually feel like someone's head is about to explode.

Now I have to give you a fair warning before you watch this movie: the plot is ridiculous. I'm sure you probably guessed this already but it bears repeating, there are quite a few twists in the plot, and they're both cliche and nonsensical, one which involves an ability scanners have. And if you don't like people getting shot and lots of blood and bodies flying everywhere, you're not going to like this movie.

I, for one, loved it.

8/10

Ah yes, the good old days when everyone owned Proton Cannons and could kill a man simply by jabbing them over and over again.

Yeah, Grand Budapest Hotel is like Anderson 101, in that it's a good starting point for people who want to go further down the rabbit hole. As far as where to go next, it kinda just depends on your tastes. The best two traditionally were Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums, although I also give huge props to Fantastic Mr. Fox (his only not-live-action movie) and The Darjeeling Limited (which is kind of like him deconstructing his own style). However, do not, I repeat, do NOT make the next movie be The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, because it's really hard to get into until you're more familiar with how Anderson operates.

OH WAIT I REMEMBER THIS GUY NOW

He PM'ed me a while back asking me to commission him for sprites. I asked him what his rates were and he said something like "This is my first time doing a commission, so I dunno what to charge," so I suggested $5 for a three frame animation (electrocution), and he agreed, telling me not to pay him until he was done. Unorthodox, but I've had that happen before, so whatevs. He asked for a reference base so I frankensprited a pose of what I generally wanted for the base, and then he asked if I had more rips, so I gave him every single goddamn rip I had (this was Jimmy from ROTD by the way). A day later, he gives me a single, very-rushed sprite that didn't even use the frankensprited base but just a random gethit he pulled out of the rips. But being the nice guy that I am, I ignored that he didn't use my base and gave him some feedback on what I was looking for. He said that he would have it done in a day.

ONE MONTH LATER, and still no sprite, let alone an animation. I PM'ed him asking if he was still working on it. I got a very abrasive response saying that he didn't have time to sprite it because he had so many more people that commissioned him before me that he was spriting for so I had to wait my turn (even though he told me at the start that he had never done it before?) and that since money still hadn't changed hands, he wasn't under any obligation to finish it and I should be THANKFUL that he did a freebie. I didn't respond to this because... Well how are you supposed to respond to that?

So reading this, it's good to know that he's just a shitty person in general.

Is finding MUGEN to be more enjoyable to play when you're not wearing clothes an underrated opinion?
Replace MUGEN with FNaF and you've summed up my experiences with the game. Thank god I only need one hand to play the game.

Lemme try an "underrated" MUGEN opinion: People should be making Pneophen-style characters instead of PotS-style characters.
