These are just the most notable things I could think of right now to keep this post a bit shorter, but basically everything was touched, modified, and improved in some way :

REDESIGNED UI

The interface had to be completely rebuilt to accommodate some of the new features

CUSTOM COLORS

         

FUNCTIONALITY

   * FOLDERS

      You can now have as many folders as you want inside other folders.

     

   * COPY - CUT - PASTE

     This basic feature has now been added, should make script editing much easier.

   * CONTEXT MENU

     App Bar has been replaced with a context menu, giving you quicker access to multiple options.
   
     

ACTIVE PREVIEW

One of the biggest additions is the always active preview window. Effectively allowing you to design and test your work at the same time.

   * GRIDS

     A toggleable grid has been added, along with grid snapping, to make menu gadget and object precision editing a lot easier.

     

   * PREVIEW SETTINGS

     Since the preview window is always active, the ability to load/unload multiple resources at will was added, as well as more debugging options.
   
        

IMAGE ADJUSTMENTS

Edge Blurring and Light FX now resize the image so that the blurred parts of the image are not clipped midway.

Oh Okay, I still don't know of much faster than Mugen, but Fighter Creator is really fast.

1. Assuming you mean development time, it depends. I don't really know much about Mugen so I can't really make a comparison.
2. No.
3. Yes.
4. Not yet but it will.
5. As high as your computer can support.
6. 60, but I will allow you to control the framerate.
7. ogg, flac, wav, mp3, aiff
8. I'm still working on demos, will try to get them out by the end of the month.

Not sure, but you can try it and if it doesn't work, use the SET POINTS function in Fighter Creator to set the loop points.

The character template is there just to add basic features to your own characters. You have to add in your own sprites for it.

@21,

To animate a character? If so, then use the "Add Animation" button instead of adding an image frame.
Now if your talking about importing images, then use the "Import Image" button to add every image in a specific folder.

Yeah I know, just trying to make sure the core of the engine is working the best it possibly can first, then I'm going to start working on a bunch of resources to help get things going.

Should have another update ready to go by the end of the month.

Fighter Creator has a very open design where only the most important things needed to setup a complete game are hard coded in. Everything else is created by the user through the use of variables and the functions FC provides. So for example, you will have to create your own damage systems and even control the life bars.
Your allowed to but, since FC was developed using Dark Basic Pro, I don't know how difficult or how long it would take to get it running on another platform. The source code for FC won't be included with the commercial edition.

Yeah, Fighter Creator will later support 2.5d and 3D fighting games.

Yeah, I'm going to try to provide as much content as possible for the demo to help you guys get going.
The videos on the steam page were just quick and basic demonstrations to show how the engine processes your projects.
Fighter Creator will undoubtably be much better overall than Mugen, just have to mature the design.

Games made with FC will only work on Windows.

Yes, FC will have online support. There isn't any coding languages involved, Game Modes are created the same way other resources are, like Characters.

Can't convert Mugen files for use with Fighter Creator.

Sorry for taking long, try this.
There was still a few more problems with the editor, this should get your stage displaying properly.
And make sure you don't have any objects with the same priority because that will cause the preview windows to look different.

Okay, the preview windows are inconsistent because I have them running on two different systems, to make things easier for me. But the preview window in the events menu displays your stage correctly.

Here's a quick fix for this. Also, if you run into anymore inconsistencies, just reload the editor preview by switching to the events menu then back to the stage editor.
