I tried to fix it with different filters in photoshop and Flash, but nothing looks as good as the original.   I think the only way to make it look good is drawing it again by hand.

That is exactly what I explained.  ;)

I agree with you !!!!
CSgames, I hope you have finished a lot of stuffs if you are working on this kind of features.
I must say that it is strange to see you work on it whereas we have seen nothing about the fighting engine itself (preview of a game ect ... ). This is your project, but don't forget the priorities  ;)

Low resolution sprites will always looks too muddy or too "pixaleted" in a high resolution, unless you redraw the sprites one by one in a drawing software.

Well, I still have August. But, if it isn't complete, I will definitely release finished parts of the engine, so that you could start creating menus and stages for your game, and then when FC is complete add them to your project file.
Ok, thank you.
But I would have like that you start with the character editor. It is a more important part than stage editor and menu editor. But no matter, I will begin with the stage editor.

I am skeptical a bit  about the date of launch because we didn't see anything about the fighting engine itself (a preview of a fight etc...)  and september is near. But I am not skeptical about the project. Csgames is working on it, it is not a fake as DNZRX768 said ...

Are there any plans to support ATI graphics cards in the release build or future?

IMHO, Even if FC supports physx, you can play it with an ATI card. But you can't add physx for your game and you can not play a game that will use physx in FC.

exactly what do you mean by no coding?
I guess I'll have to find out later.

Take a look at fighter maker (tutorials, videos, screenshots ect...) and you will understand what he means by "no coding".  ;)

With all the things blender is supposed to be able to do why would I need daz3d.

To have models which are already rigged (with bones) and ready to be animated.
But You can create bones with blender of course. Well you don't need daz3d. But It will be more difficult.

Edit:
http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Rigging
You can create bones in zbrush. You could use blender only to animate your character and export it. Maybe it will be more difficult with facial animation (if you want to have expressions on the face, open the mouth ect... )

make me a 3d character maker as easy as in wwe smackdown vs raw plz. ;-)

..of course i am joking but that could be a goal for somewhen in the future, rite?

There is a open source 3d software called "makehuman"
http://www.makehuman.org/
It could help a lot. But I am not sure you can find a lot of clothes or hair for this software. It could be a problem.
But with daz3d's characters (victoria, michael), you can find a lot of free clothes, morphs, hair, pre-made characters ect...

you understand?

Yes, I understand.
But You can trust me, I am a fan of fighting games, nothing more. I am not here to promoting FC, or to speak for Csgames ( we don't know each other, except from a FC forum ). If csgames sell only one game, I will not cry or be happy. And if FC sucks, I will change my banner. But before it happens, I stay with it  :sugoi:
I am a supporter, not a salesman.

You can not make animation with zbrush, or it is very difficult
http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=46255
But you can create a character in zbrush, export it in blender, create rigs, animate it, and to export it as a directx files with this script
http://directpython.sourceforge.net/exportx.html

The more easy is to begin to work with a free 3d software as daz3d, where you can create a character easily, reshape some parts in zbrush as a morph target, and animate it in blender. You could find some tutorials to export to daz3d to blender, to export a body port as an .obj to zbrush and load it in daz3d as a morph target etc..
With this kind of software, you will have a rigged character, ready to be animated. It will be more easy than to create your own character from the begining to the end..

I'm going to keep my eye on this. My original character might be better in 3D than 2D It would allow me to more stuff with their move set.

You will need to have a thrid party 3d software as 3dsmax. Create a 3d character is not the same thing as to create a 2d character. To create a 2d character, you need a painting software, nothing more (and talent of course ^^). To create a 3d character, you need to know how to use a 3d software, to rig a character, to animate a character ect...
If you know it , no problem.

It would have been nice to edit the OPs in the topics you linked to, or a decent write-up of what's planned and what's done in your site -

I am agree. It could help to know what It is possible to do with this engine at this time, and make suggestions if something is missing.

avoid having someone going in and registering to throw praises at your work while claiming to be a fan , even if your work deserves praises it ends up feeling like a marketing ploy, it looks cheap.

Is it a crime to be a fan, as to wear a niqab in france ?  ;D (ps: I come from France)
I introduced CSgames to this forum, I created a profile before him. Well please, don't judge somebody about an image profile or a banner. It is more a joke than anything else (I am alone in this "fanclub"  :ninja: )
CSgames is not here to make marketing or stupid stuffs like that. He is here to present his project to a huge community of fighting game makers. And people like me have the right to love what he makes, as I see here a lot of fans of muggen who say muggen is better than FM and maybe better than every game engine in the world ...
Be cool, we are here because we like fighting games, not because we want to sell or buy something.
Of course, If csgames could sell a lot of FC, he will be happy. But if his game engine is buggy, crappy or if it sucks, I will be the first  to not buy it .
But I trust in CSgames and I like his project. Maybe I am wrong, maybe not. We will see.

I don't believe there will be a Mugen compatibilty for FC one day.
But as He said in other forum, there could be a script editor :

Quote
Me: Maybe for a new version of FC after the release, you could add a "script editor" where coders could create their own scripts ?
Csgames: Yeah, depending on the success of FC, I will make a sequel, scripting system is definitely something I want to add.

But don't forget that He is alone to work on his engine ! It is a lot of work. And it will cost 10 bucks only !!!! He can not put everything that we wants on its first version.

Oh God I HATE FM coding skills, it's gonna take a while to learn that thing if I wanna make something advanced D: .

I feel the same about mugen   ;D
But it is not a topic about "FM vs mugen", or "coding vs no coding". Fighter creator will a be new fighting engine. And as all new engines, you need to learn how it works. And maybe it will be more easier and more advanced than you think  ;)

No coding?!

*Stomps out and slams the door*

That is why I like FM, and why I will buy FC  :)
But maybe it is possible to create something like the mission editor in Operation Flashpoint/ArmA (armed assault) : you don't need to know about coding to create a mission, but you can add your own script if you want to custom every part of the mission, or create new special scripts.

PS: And yes I am new here, I created a profile only to follow this topic  ;D
