Looks really promising you really improved in so little time its amazing. Also only issue I see is Carley which her pants cuz it looks like she have a boner o_O

Question what do you mean by ken's frame data? Do you mean by the style off play this ken plays? Because the best ken you can use is looking at Street fighter alpha ken since this version is pretty much an edit of street fighter alpha ken

Ryu
Is the next SF character to get the "Versus" treatment. I used whatever reference I could find from Tekken X street fighter to create a realistic Ryu model

p.s the cloth bouncing is jiggle deformer. I have no control over how it moves and can't be fucked to animate the cloth manually. That's as good as you're gonna get with cloth movement.

Woah!, that Ryu model looks great, See if Namco would've actually did some work and try to finish their Ryu 3d model it would be pefect like yours. Also Maverik have you heard of the 3d fighting game engine callef E-12, Because there's a thread on the forums on here and maybe it might be something you'll be interesting into looking up since you make 3d models.

Most people are getting used to how to make content with this. Until someone with experience gets on board it will be quite a while before we see anything really good.

The thing about animation is that it will be really difficult to get really fluid stuff since all animation will likely be handcrafted (mocapping is pretty expensive and even if you could, giving the moves convincingly proper technique requires research & experience).

People are taking in game models and using them for this, it's a good start. Don't expect anything to blow your mind at this point (it will be much closer to the opposite). It's not like Mugen where the sprites have the actions for us and we just do the coding (again people actually have to do the animation).

I love how very informative you are one this and you make a very good point with your post.
Reason why is it's true people assume that just cuz' it's 3d models its gonna be easy making characters but the reality is it's still is a pain and alot work making the animation moves look smooth and natural.

Furthermore, like you said already is we need an experience 3d model and coder to make that animations very different from using basic moves like the default characters in EF-12. Honestly, I think the best way to get moves looking different is possibly copy many 2d sprite animations and go over it like what bleed is doing with his 3d HD scorpion but, Idk anyone would actual try doing that but who knows maybe some day some or a large group of people with experience will actually see EF-12 and mess with the engine.

I like it looks very promsing like the other characters I've seen you made for EF-12. Just I can see aswell that many of the characters you made aren't rigged too well and their arms, legs, body and even their stance seem akward abit. I would suggest take your time with learning how to rig them first to fix those problems. Like there are many tutorials on youtube for blender that can help you learn how rig even animate abit oh, also you should add some lighting the models too because they seem very flat without it. Also I understand this is your first time with messing with 3d modeling too like don't stress it bro take your time and you'll get better at it like if I had money for a laptop or computer I would be learning myself how to make 3d models and characters for EF-12 too. So keep up the work bro and I look forward to see more awesome characters from you :)

When you slam someone the camera changes position, so I'm pretty sure you could do it in ultras.
Many characters have intros.
Are you talking about changing textures during the matches?


Hey, thanks for answering my reply Odb718 I really appreciate that and ah ok I was curious about making intro poses because I wanna animate my own thats why I asked that and same for the doing ultras since I also hope I can possibly make it the same close up look to Street fighter IV even Soul calibur IV and V. Also by textures I mean this, Like say I have a character with one outfit. But, I want to make that same character I made have different clothes for alternate costumes instead of just making a color palette. Like my question is that if I can make many different alternate costumes even clothing for my character I make or will it be too much to handle on the engine because of the amount of textures and details I have for those costumes?

Hey E-12 I've been reading this topic of yours about the 3D fighting game engine you have made and I have afew questions I would love to ask because I'm very interested in creating my own characters in this. Just at the moment I don't have a working computer and I'm using my nintendo Wii for internet access. Anyways, here afew of my questions I would like to ask.

1. I saw in the video that many of the characters have different outfits build in with them. Many question is it possible that make a character have a different outfit example being if I can render different clothes and apply it the model of my character even apply different textures to it without slowing the game down?

2. Is it possible we add voices to are characters in the game such as having them say something when they are attacking or do special moves?

3. Another question that is abit similar to question 2 on that is it possible we have intros before a match even is it possible to program taunts for a character?

4. Is there a way we can make the super or special moves do close ups on are characters in a similar fashion as they do in street fighter 4, Soul calibur 4 and 5? and if no, will there be an update to apply that feature?

I don't see the big deal on that one move on how it looks but anyways, can someone provide some feedback so we all know if there are any problems like misalignments or any other bugs or problems so we can also give a helping hand to shadowinter on what things he should improve on.

Thanks for the replies also quick question too I've been recently having too which I'm not sure it's on topic but I've also been having problems with my downloads on interent explorer we're I can't quiet download a file say mugen character or music rar files too it'll give me a pop up saying my internet sercuity won't allow me to download the file please check your security. So I messed with my internet security options abit by going to my internet options and go to the security part and disable some of the checks in the boxes to allow me to be able to download a file. Example is the icon of the internet logo I click to and the check box says enable protect mode I'll uncheck and see if that's the problem. I try downloading something it'll start downloading but it'll stop and say can't download file and I'll click the button saying to retry and it'll be the same.

As title of the topic said I'm searching for a good security program that can use to protect my computer from not only viruses, but spamware trojans, worms, and other stuff. Since I've been having problems with my computer with opening web pages and new tables and I contacted my internet provider on the issue since I'm using bright house for my cable, internet and phone lines. Furthermore, I get random ads noises when I'm not on the internet like music even people advisrtising a product. Even when I type in something on go to go to a website it'll redirect me to something else so I'm very concerned if something is wrong with my computer and I had this computer since 07' and I don't have money to buy a new one or get it cleaned out too.

I have know a fuckton of mugen creators who are much more productive while working on 3 or so wip at the same time, when they "focus" on one character, whenever they get bored of workign on a single character they don't do anything else mugen related, while if they work on 3 characters when they get bored of working on one character they move to another character instead of playing wow.

I understand where you're comin' from maximilianjenus but in chuchoryu's case he's not as experience as Cybaster or anyone else who can make two or three wips at a time and finish them. Furthermore, chuchoryu himself even admits he isn't too great at his coding or edits which I get but that doesn't me he should jump the wagon and bite out more then he can chew. If he does like everyone says he'll soon be clustered with tons of betas and unfinished buggy work which isn't good what he should do is finish the characters he haves first and get afew people to help him with editing characters and converting sprites to cvs style. Since they're alot of people I mean alot of people who he can ask help from even when it comes to coding too. Which he needs to learn that instead of being shy or scaried I mean it's always ok to ask questions and for help from experience mugen codes and creators cuz not only will it help him with his wips but it will help him grow into a better creator as well.

Hmm abit better but the mortal kombat text looks weird and I don't understand why you the O's have a gear look which looks really off. Furthermore, the background colors on the wall is too bright and orangey which makes it hard to see the blood splatters also the mortal kombat logo needs work too I would suggest going online and find an image of the logo as a reference.

Have you tried to ask help on spriting the walk animations in develpment help? Because I'm sure there might be afew people who will help you out getting the walking animation sprites to look better and help you with making it much easier to finish it.

It's just you. The only thing that looks off shading wise is the kof 13 saiki sprite which needs abit more work on it.

Pretty much any K' from kof doesn't matter since all his walk animations look the same only alittle bit that's changed like his face will be look at you or he'll be looking straight in front of him but it's all the same here's a link which shows four different walking animations of K' and some other animations too http://www.fightersgeneration.com/characters2/k-a.html also for a sugusstion have you thought of making a move for Apex where he is running and does a kick like here's an example of what I mean in the spoiler

Yea truemicah it would fit but they main issue is him getting the movement of the belt right when he's walking and plus k' haves his hands on sides but I think that would be easy to figure out just by looking at rouga's walk he haves the same habit too with having his hands on his sides too.
