I'm just saying that in a game that practically celebrates the history of video games as an entertainment medium, the last thing I want to play on is an ugly MS paint side scrolling stage.
The MSpaint-ness (And one of the medleys having a Dragon Spirit sample in it) makes it my favorite Omega Mode stage.
Melee's batch of stages are my favorite. Pokefloats was the shit.

Another common thing to avoid is failure to establish the character's gameplay identity. A lot of original/customized characters are just a hodgepodge of moves the creator just wants to program in. Try to think of a major character archetype and build off that.

Since I'm a boring guy that really only pays attention to releases from games I've played I can't say MUGEN made discover new games as much as friends in the MUGEN community did. They brought weird arcade fighting games hardly anyone has heard of like Survival Arts and Doujin games like Melty Blood to my attention.

oh yeah. was also considering giving him a zetsumei ougi of sorts; not working in a traditional samurai shodown sense but more along the lines of 'won a round, has 3 stocks of super, and opponent is down to at least 20% health'. i don't really know what i'd do for it, though, i just want to try doing something like that at least once
That's kinda the standard for doing that in MUGEN because being 100% accurate with it would require the inter-character compatibility because of how the meditation meter plays into it.
